  1. A blonde mali'aheral was strolling by the floating citadel as she caught wind of her friend's resignation.

"Hah.. he literally told me about it yesterday. It seems like he doesn't waste any time does he?"

She mused with a dismissive shake of her head, continuing on with her day as well as possessing a lingering thought that perhaps she should pay Telos a visit.

MC Item description (the exact description that will be used for the MC item if this MArt is accepted):

A lantern of a dark sheen of metal, once sparkling and clean, is now tainted with rust. Hues of copper-ish gold lie flecked about the neglected lantern. The lantern itself would be shaped in a somewhat rectangular fashion, the only exceptions being the curved edges near the top of the object. Formed in a manner that heavily resembled the rooftops of Oyashiman buildings. A chain that matched the rusted body of the lantern attached to the very top. Within the cursed object it held an ethereal flame of sickly blue luminescence that flickered dimly, it's aura filling you with a eerie chill.

Any who would attempt to take up this lantern in hand would find an excruciating pain course through their body, as if they had been set aflame at the pyre. If one were to raise the accursed object to their ear, they would bear witness to the sounds of incessant murmurs and the cryptic mutters of the damned souls forever trapped within.

    Effect(s) of the Artifact:

-This object is hexed with a Flamegeist. Those who pick up the lantern find themselves under its effects and experience an excruciating burning sensation throughout their body as if they had been set on fire. This effect only lasts so long as they hold the item and does not do any physical damage. The Flamegeist upon this Mart does not affect the creator unlike normal hexes.

-Can store up to 6 Souls Maximum at any given time.

-When a Mystic uses a saturated blade or scavenges the soul of their victim, that soul essence is drawn into the shard of Menhir stone contained within. (May store up to 6 Souls at any one time)

-Anyone may move the soul essence contained within the Mart into another Menhir by simply holding the artifact up to the Menhir of choice.

-Over the period of two emotes, a Mystic may absorb fragments of the souls within and convert them into liturgies for use. 2 Soul Fragments = 1 Liturgy and that Soul is irretrievably lost.

-The lantern provides the Mystic the ability to use ‘Mystic Conduit/Feeding’ to replenish or empower a spectral entity, Eidola or Wight after 3 emotes, using 2 soul fragments in the process.

    Red Lines of the Artifact:

-Can only contain 6 souls at a time and they must be either used or deposited in a Menhir before more can be acquired.

-Mystic must spend two emotes to draw forth the soul fragments within the lantern and convert them into liturgies before use. Mystic will be vulnerable during this period.

-Souls fragments converted into liturgies are irrevocably lost

-A maximum of 2 liturgies can be restored in a 24 hours period.

-Must spend 3 emotes to use ‘Feeding’ to empower the target of choice, this abides by Mystic Conduit Redlines.

-The Flamegeist upon the lantern abides by the redlines of Hexing, the only difference here is that it doesn't affect the creator of the Hex.

-The Flamegeist consumes 1 Fragment per OOC week in order for the Wielder to keep the Geist satiated and loyal.

Explanation of the effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed):

This Artifact is based heavily on Mysticism Lore, making use of some of its spells and lore in order to power the artifact.

    Lore:

The entire basis of this artifact revolves around using a carved chunk of Menhir stone from a powered Menhir. This chunk sits within the artifact and acts like a mobile Menhir of sorts, allowing Mystics to store souls within it to power spells or use it as a storage device to transfer spells to an actual Menhir of their choice. Reason for below effects:

-Can store up to 6 Souls Maximum at any given time.

-When a Mystic uses a saturated blade or scavenges the soul of their victim, that soul essence is drawn into the shard of Menhir stone contained within. (May store up to 6 Souls at any one time)

Like Hexing which now utilizes Souls from a Menhir in the creation of the Hex, for the purposes of this artifact, the Mystic can draw forth the Souls contained within the lantern in a similiar manner so that they may power their spells or regain liturgies of ectoplasm, the last redline is purely for balancing purposes:

-Mystic must spend two emotes to draw forth the soul fragments within the lantern and convert them into liturgies before use. Mystic will be vulnerable during this period.

-Souls fragments converted into liturgies are irrevocably lost

-Soul fragments converted to power spells are irrevocably lost

-A maximum of 2 liturgies can be restored in a 24 hours period.

Simply uses the souls within in as a battery that can be used to empower/heal Ghosts, Wights, Eidolas or restore Liturgies to other Mystics/Wights for the below effect. As stated below this is basically just the Mystic Conduit Spell but on a Mart and abides by all the greenlines and redlines of such, as stated in the Mysticism Lore post. A Mystic must first be shown/taught how to use the spell through IRP means before they can utilize this effect of the Mart. Normally only Mystic Conjurers have access to this spell, but the purpose of it being on the Mart is to allow for Mystic Blades to use it through the artifact if shown through IRP means.

-Must spend 3 emotes to use ‘Feeding’ to empower the target of choice, this abides by Mystic Conduit Redlines.

The below is simply a Flamegeist Hex as stated in the Lore Post and abides by all the redlines of such with the sole exclusion that it doesn't harm the creator. The reason it doesn't harm the creator is that the Geist is kept satiated and loyal through the frequent offering of souls for it to consume within the lantern. Every OOC week, the Geist will consume 1 Fragment.

-The Flamegeist upon the lantern abides by the redlines of Hexing, the only difference here is that it doesn't affect the creator of the Hex.

  3. "Well.. this is certainly a turn of events. Cheers to your endeavors, tomodachi."

A samurai would state as he had read out the missive, quite so amused by what his companion had put himself up to. He'd crumple up the paper, throwing it aside as he'd kick his feet up upon his desk - letting out a hearty laugh.

"Let's hope I do not have to save you this time, Vulmir-san."

  4. "No.. This can't be right. No, no, no.. please.."

A now pale Edennoire would sit down in her home within Vortice, tears furiously streaming down her cheeks as the news reached her ears. She had known Vivian for a long time, though not spending too much time with her she knew that she was a good woman. How could she end her life like this? Why? Thoughts swirled through her mind, wrought of conflict and grief as she sat there curled up in her seat and mourned quietly.

  6. Under a sickly blue luminescence which flickered dimly from a rusted wicker lantern sat a samurai cladded in heavy armor, he was amongst the first of the Ishiguntai and a loyal servant of Tsune Hirano. A warrior, a servant and yet she had even once told him that he was like that of a son to her. In that deathly silence of the cavern he dwelled in, with only a dim flame to guide him; soon did he utter in response of such news to himself, not nearly as alone whilst cryptic whispers danced in the air of the stygian caverns below.

"Sodesu ka. The decision has been made, so it would seem.. It's time to pay a little visit back to Yong Ping. I hope I'm welcomed. Gomenasai, Tsune-tono.. But I just can't help it if I find their sorrow amusing to this revelation."

  7. A dark knight lurked within the shadows of the dark elven settlement, a hollow gaze set upon the scene as the ethereal fog shrouded over  Stygian Hollow. A grim and bemused chuckle would echo through the figure's maw in a harrowing tune, disappearing between those very same clouds of dark smog. Though not before he'd intone in a cacophony of unison in which would echo eerily through the vicinity of the cavernous expanses he now stood within:

"And so the sun shall no longer rise upon this forsaken settlement, the denizens within as well as the world will now come to understand the true extent of our power.. Radiant is the Black Sun."

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Musin are small creatures covered in fur from head to toe, coming in a range of colors varying from white, tans, brown and black as well as some other patterns mottled between those colors. Their eyes are usually pitch black and some Musin, though only being 1 out of every 10, have red eyes. Another trait of note is their large incisors which protrude out from their mouth. Basically looking like mice in real life, but stand on two feet and have a greater intelligence and excellent hygiene.
Let's take the pieces out from the puzzle and slowly inspect them one by one, starting from their eyes. Musin have great eyesight in the dark, though when out during the day they have the need to squint in order for them to see properly under the harsh lighting. Next, we have their large incisors or their so called buck teeth. Often using hardwood like materials to gnaw on, they file down their teeth on a regular basis to make sure that their incisors do not grow too large. However, their dietary needs include that of crunchy goods to help blunt down their teeth as well as sustain them nutrients. A big surprise to all is that Musin are in fact lactose intolerant, not liking any sort of dairy products as well as raw meats which would give them a hefty stomach ache. Though they do have a sweet tooth. Last but certainly not least are their big ears, taking up almost the entire side of their small heads. Musin can detect sounds most cannot, at higher and lower frequencies that normal creatures may not be able to hear.
Musin though a very interesting race are one of the weakest races, due to their small stature they cannot pick up any sort of normal weapon like a longsword. As well as being weak in strength, when a Musin take a hit. It usually would be serious if not lethal in some cases because of their fragile physique. Despite their weakness, they make up for that in dexterity and intelligence. Being fast learners, they can easily tinker with anything whether it be simple sewing to magics like housemagery. Upon the topic of dexterity, they are agile due to their small lean figures and can easily maneuver around small crevices and large enemies. Their fighting style is more so evading than anything, though most are pacifists.
Talking about their small statures, their height ranges to around 1'8" to 2'6". They reach physical maturity at the age of 12 but are only considered adults at age 15, living up to be 70 years old. Though the oldest Musin recorded lived up to be 78 years old. Musin in turn can have up to 2-3 children at once and are pregnant for only 3 months before their child is born. A baby Musin are born weak and blind and only after a few months may they be more akin to a toddler before their growth begins to jump in leaps and bounds. They keep good hygiene, cleaning and grooming themselves on a daily basis to not become susceptible to diseases and filth in general.
Though considered most as pacifists, they have a urge of thieving or as they like to call it, 'reusing and recycling' anything they can get their hands on from Descendants. Their clothing is usually made by patches of varying fabrics due to the fact they do not have a actual tailor nor seamstress to make them proper clothing.
Stories of The Great Giant they had met are often shared throughout their community, more and more speculations about said Giant are being thrown about in the casual debate.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

Thorn is a black female Musin standing at 2 feet tall, jet black fur line her entire figure from head to toe with a pink nose and a pink tail about 3 inches in length. She wears a robe made from a recycled handkerchief that she had found and sewn together to create a little brown cloak for herself, fashioned with a hood as well. She reworked the fabric of a quilt from we shall not name where to create herself a purple top and dark brown slacks. Pitch black eyes adorn her already dark expression, filled with adventure and curiosity to the world around her which she in turn wishes to explore.

  11. I am not new to roleplay but neither am I profound in it either, I simply do it for fun and will pop in every now and then on occasion. Reality is harsh so that is why I try to escape from time to time with roleplay. I do hope you treat me well, who knows? I might just learn a thing or two from you and vice versa :)
