  1. FIRST PUBLICATION CITY REBUILDING UNDERWAY Commonwealth of Sutica -- His Serene Majesty announced to the Sutican people today the designs for the new capital were finished. This comes after a period of complications regarding the ownership of the designs and their realism. The build is long anticipated as it has halted a lot of government projects and appointments. Despite these setbacks the Commonwealth of Sutica reported steady growth and managed to revive most departments abandoned prior to the liberation. QUEEN VISITS SARISSA TOURNAMENT County of Sarissa -- Her Serene Majesty visited a tournament held by the new Count of Sarissa, Lord Buckfort yesterday. The tournament was the first cultural activity held after her rise to the throne, with other ministers and church representatives attending. After the tournament had finished, all delegations went to the capital city for drinks and chatter. The tournament was well received by the Commonwealth government, who is now planning to hold more consistent cultural celebrations after the city has been rebuilt. EXTRAORDINARY SESSION COMMITTEE OF PEERS Commonwealth of Sutica -- The current Chairman of the Committee of Peers, Viscount Vezimir of Lausitz, had received permission from His Serene Majesty to initiate an extraordinary session for the Committee of Peers. It is deemed extraordinary because normally, sessions of the Committee go alongside the election cycles of the Congress. While the elections are postponed until the government is fully functional, the Committee wasted no time to verify peerages and to vote on crests and mottos. Though the low number of peers raised the discussion on whether vassals of peers should be allowed to be seated on the Committee too. Government policy so far firmly indicates opposition to this reform, as those vassals are eligible to run for elections in the Congress of Sutica. TEMPORARY PASSPORTS ISSUED Commonwealth of Sutica -- With the first official census being prepared by the Commonwealth government, His Serene Majesty instructed the Grand Magistrate to register and issue temporary passports to prove citizenship. This measure was necessary because the Constitution grants various rights and obligations to citizens. Without a way to determine who is and isn’t a citizen, the constitutional system would’ve been complicated to put in practice. The census is expected to be finished shortly after the city reconstruction, as then all addresses can be filled and verified. SUPREME ORDER GAINS POPULARITY The Church -- The High Pontiff Tylos I announced with great joy today that a new influx of squires were joining the ranks of the Supreme Order of Ex. Owyn. The Apostolic-General Armand de Rennes is credited for maintaining a professional force that can attract young talent from rural areas. What this will mean for the deployment of the Order remains to be seen. But Suticans may expect to see more of them more often, as the Church regains ground in Sutican society. The Serene Monarchs, both Canonists, are welcoming this renewed role of the Church. It is alleged that the new city will have a fully functional Church after its completion. NEW HEAD STEWARD MAKES HEADWAY Commonwealth of Sutica -- The new head Steward, Jon Snowell, was appointed by the Grand Magistrate to revive the abandoned institution since the liberation of Sutica. The Commonwealth government was pleased to see that Steward Snowell managed to recruit various new bureaucrats, and that the grand ledger of Sutica was remade. Furthermore, Steward Snowell created an uniform system of registering homeowners and collecting taxation: providing necessary income for the Commonwealth government. As the first department to run entirely autonomously from the management of any cabinet member: the Stewards of Sutica seem like the model for all other departments yet to be created.

  12. WENCESLAS, THE HAWK This story is a literary work of the Reinmarian culture. A fairytale told to children to teach them moral lessons and give them a bigger consciousness on Reinmarian culture. Wenceslas, the Hawk is a modernized version of a former tale spread from mouth to mouth. Chapter II. O’ had the days been short and the nights long. Winter had reached the land at last. Only the parents of Wenceslas sent their weeping into the cold night. The town had already forgotten of the miller boy’s poor fate. Wenceslas the exiled now walked aimlessly along the snowy paths. Not even a coat to his name. But then on the Gorschfeld fork faraway from Karnitz did the boy greet three leather cladded men. “Where ya off to boy?” the middle man laughed with his menacing sword. “Lost on da’ roads?” the man on the left sneered. Wenceslas wavered in fear “I have nothing to my name! I’m but a miller! Or I used to be..” “Where are you from boy?” the man on the right stepped forward with arms crossed “Karnitz.” Wenceslas lowered his head “I was exiled for being smitten over the wrong lass.” “A tale as old as time.” laughed the men “seems like the Lord done ya dirty as well. Are ya any good with a blade boy?” “Nay. I’m but a miller.” Wenceslas winced. “Yeah yeah you told us so.” the men looked at each other “we can teach you. But you musn’t be shy about traveling these roads.” And so the young Wenceslas was received by a group of bandits sharing a similar tragic fate. They gathered in the camp and Wenceslas was given a coat and a loaf of bread. They spoke of their stories and bonded over the challenges they faced. The day after Wenceslas was nourished and renewed. Patrolling the roads around the farms between Gorschfeld and Karnitz with his new companions. The first robbery he underwent great doubt. The second but a mere afterthought. The third he became comfortable with sin. The band became bolder. Robbing a Karnitzian merchant and recruiting his indebted rider. Hearing of this event Lord Erich of Karnitz became outraged. “Those barbarians cost us hundreds of Minas! A promise to Gorschfeld broken!” Erich slammed his fist on the table. “Ladislaus. Bring me their heads. I will apoligize to Lord Gorschfeld personally.” And so a meeting would occur at dusk. Two lords of different temper beneath the apple tree of the tavern. The bandits and Wenceslas had yet to face a serious contender. At dawn, they will. And so Lord Gorschfeld sent a carriage of hay to Karnitz without entourage. Wenceslas and his bandit compatriots eyed it from the covers of some roadside bushels. "That's enough for a village!." spoke Manfried the bandit leader "Wenceslas, can ya halt the rider?" Wenceslas agreed and exited the bushels. Walking straight onto the road before the carriage. Unbeknownst to Wenceslas and his bandit compatriots a small group of guards waited beneath the hay. Once Wenceslas hailed the carriage to a halt his compatriots joined him. Only then did the guards reveal themselves. Wenceslas had fallen for a trap.
  13. WENCESLAS, THE HAWK This story is a literary work of the Reinmarian culture. A fairytale told to children to teach them moral lessons and give them a bigger consciousness on Reinmarian culture. Wenceslas, the Hawk is a modernized version of a former tale spread from mouth to mouth. Chapter I. There begins our tale. A people, long divided, must unite; long united, must divide. Thus it has ever been. In the small village of Karnitz along the Rheindahl river, lived a miller’s boy of little relevance. Labouring through the daily grind for survival and ignoring the rabble from those around him. “Ohh!” spoke the tavernkeep he passed by “Some of us are converting to Canonism! What would our gods think!” “Our gods never help us when the river floods our town or the snow ruins our crops.” the miller boy replied as he walked on “what matters their abandonment?” “Woe is our folk!” the tailor screeched down the road “The Lord is of old age - and his children squabble for power. The future is unclear!” The miller boy rolled his eyes “Lords come and go but your shop and family remains. Why worry about things above you?” Everyday the miller boy responded cynically to the people in town. Why did these people care about what stands too far or too above them? If the Gods and Lords care nay for us, why must we care for them? And so he worked for months only caring for family and the mill. When the lord died and his eldest son Lord Erich took over, Wenceslas slept with no concern. On one fateful day he saw the watchman’s daughter wandering about in fine garments. Braided red hair and freckles plenty. The miller’s boy became smitten by that sight. He approached her with a sly tongue and clumsy charm to ask her for a night in the tavern. But alas, for the love of miller’s boy Wenceslas was not to be. The new Lord arrived by horse, gilded by the finest garments as he towered over them on his steed. “Begone peasant! For the lass will be mine.” And thus Wenceslas was forbidden to approach this unnamed maiden once again. Furious by his powerlessness, Wenceslas now joined the townsfolk in their woes. “The Lord has taken all the grain. We may starve during winter!” the smith’s wife cried. “May the Gods curse this swine for his greed.” Wenceslas proclaimed to the cheers of the tavern. “Those foreign priests charge coin for their services. If the Lord converts, we will be the ones to pay!” “Then we must reject the heathens and pray at our forefather’s graves everyday!” Wenceslas raised his cup to the crowd agreeing. He then saw the lord slowly throttle his steed onto the street. His unnamed maiden carrying his blade as she walked besides him. Emboldened by the crowd and furious by love, Wenceslas stepped out of the tavern to confront the new Lord. “You let the lady walk as you ride on a fine saddle and a strong steed, a lack of chivalry that is expected for a Lord” Wenceslas challenged “Must you mistreat a lady like this? Do not claim what you cannot take care of!” “She is mine and I treat her as I like, peasant.” the Lord Erich sneered “how dare a lowborn speak of morality and degrade His Lord. Grovel and beg for my mercy, or you shall lose your head.” “No!” the woman of red locks yelled in tears “M’lord, do not slay this miller’s boy. Or I will die from heartbreak!” “Silence, wench.” the Lord sneered as he steered his steed towards her “Who told you to speak? Your weeping taints the moment.” “I beg you Lord.” the woman cried with Wenceslas looking at her in fury “Spare him and I will be yours fully. Heart and all.” That swayed Lord Erich. Instead of slaying he banished Wenceslas from the town leaving him with nothing but the clothes on his body and a heavy heart inside. With no destination in mind - Wenceslas contemplated revenge. {{Hey guys, I just joined the server and wanted to try my hand at writing for my friend's group. What do you think?}}
