  3. Looking for players for a dark elf child by the name of Selene. She is a curious child with a knack for chaos. She will be raised to follow the wild faith’s ideals, though as she gets older you’re obviously free to stray from those if you wish to. She has ashen skin, purple eyes, and raven hair. She is curious and bold, and a little too adventurous for her own safety. She will be living in Neveahlen, and won’t be allowed out of the city without an escort until she’s 13 and has been taught how to defend herself. She is not playable until April 1st, 2024. So you have time to respond if you are seeing this late. If you’re interested, DM me at evalte on discord.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Rowan sits down on the cushion offered to him by the hag. "I have been wandering for a while, looking for knowledge, and I kind of just stumbled across this place." Rowan tilts his head up a bit, staring at the ceiling. " My story, huh? What you would want with my story is beyond me, but ok. I grew up in the wilderness, living with my mother, but not much happened for most of my life. When my mother died of some unknown sickness, I set out in search of knowledge, so I could figure out what killed her. I spent two years wandering, before coming across a blacksmith. All my thoughts of finding out about the sickness were gone, I was a simple shell of my former self, having been alone for so long. Then, one night, I saw the man forging something, a beautiful sword, and discovered I had a fascination. The next morning, I asked the man to teach me how he made the sword, and he looked surprised. He said he had not yet met an elf with such fascination with blacksmithing as I had, and so he taught me. Three weeks and a day went by, before he had taught me all he could. He stated he was not a very good teacher, and the basics were all he could put into words for me. He advised that I seek out other blacksmiths, to learn more of the trade, and so I set off from his place, leaving with him the first blade I ever forged as a token of thanks." Rowan looked back down at the hag, "I spent another year travelling from place to place, occasionally thinking about my original goal, before thoughts of the forge filled my mind again. That is what led me here, another place on my long journey to become a blacksmith. It is a bit boring to some, but I have found my journey thrilling." Rowan thanked the hag for her time, even though she had been the one that asked for his story, and set off once again to find another blacksmith to learn from.

"Well sir," William begins, "I was actually wondering whether I could find work here in the port." The gentleman waves him towards a building to the right of where his ship docked. A man, large with a wooden leg, asks him what he wants to do. "Just anything you can give me sir," William responds politely. The man gives him a job cleaning ship and William happily does it.
