Fractrix (real name: Ceres Xiolscient) was born in The Vale of Nevaehlen Her parents Mars Xiolscient and Lucius lasganiant were traders that met while supplying the elves during the Elven Coalition war and quickly started dating until they got their first and only kid named Ceres. Ceres` childhood was a fairly regular one, she was homeschooled by her parents and had one good childhood friend named Ferrox. when Ceres turned 9 years old her Father started teaching her the ways of trading and Ceres has never forgotten these early lessons. when Ceres turned 12 years old her parents took her on a seemingly regular trading run to a nearby village so she could build up experience and learn the trade faster. halfway through the journey a group of bandits ambushed them and took all of their money and supplies Ceres's parents tried to fight the bandits at first, but the bandits quickly overpowered them and her father lost both of his arms and was severely wounded. The cargo the Family was transporting consisted mostly of expensive materials and luxury products that had cost the family almost their entire fortune. Now with very little money, the family had to sell their house and most of their assets as they didn't have the capabilities to support their previous way of life anymore. from the age 12 to 15 Ceres worked at a local bakery to try and support her family, but the income just wasn't enough. During this period she also realized that being able to defend herself is very important and she started training in combat skills such as sword fighting and martial arts. after walking into a sketchy alleyway one night when she was 15 She found a fighting ring where she could fight other people for money. She started making a name for herself in the ring and started to use a different name in the fighting ring that name was tractrix. After 4 years of fighting for money, she had finally earned enough money for her parents whose health was not rapidly declining to comfortably live for at least 20 more years. After earning a small fortune she found out that It might actually be possible to restart the trading company. To do this, at the age of 19 she decided to join one of the local mercenary groups as it was probably the easiest way to quickly earn money using her skills as a fighter. She fights as a mercenary to this day. Her days as a mercenary were fairly standard/ boring it was pretty much just doing odd jobs or defending old people as they were gathering herbs near bandit territory. After a year she finally got a real job to exterminate a group of bandits that were terrorizing some local trading routes. After realizing this might be her only chance to get back at the bandits that ruined her parent's trading company. After arriving at the bandit outpost she showed no remorse for the bandits, only to later figure out that this was a totally different group than the one she met when she was 12 years old. Fractrix felt terribly ashamed about the way she lost control when fighting those bandits and vowed to always fight with honor. To this day fractrix is still trying to earn money for her trading company
