  1. All I have to say is that I'm not against an amendment, but I feel that no seers were contacted in regards to this amendment. Communication is required when you alter a lore that will affect the community, and I have seen no effort in providing such. My discord is nerdocalypse if you want to talk more about the amendment with me, I promise not to share your discord as I can see you wish for privacy. All I ask is for some communication or input from other seers before this is accepted or denied.

    Using the ritual of lords assistance in Naz, will attempt it after it is accepted or denied.

    Effect(s) of the Artifact:

             

    This MArt allows the person whose soul is in the Rokodra Phylactery to be able to learn Naztherak. This permanently consumes two slots from the soul, and may consume further slots to pact and/or curse. The MArted soul must get a teacher still and must learn through proper rp. 

     

    Maleus:

    To regain Maleus, the Draugar must head to their Phylactery to recharge once it is expended. The Phylactery may hold up to 250 Malleus total, which may be refilled by any other Naztherak with their own Maleus, which must be logged with proper RP and sent to the Draugar so they may keep track. The Phylactery starts with 100 Malleus on creation, and the soul of the Draugar will follow normal Maleus tiers from Naztherak.

     

    Redlines:

    - Attempting to cast with insufficient Maleus will not just cause burns to rip across the Draugar’s body but also a strike to the Rokodra Phylactery similar to if it was hit with an edged weapon.

    - Should the Draugar try to do the above two or more times within 24 OOC hours, their Phylactery will be destroyed, thus PKing the Draugar.

    - No more than the Draugar’s maximum Maleus pool can be regained from the Rokodra Phylactery per 12 OOC hours.

     

    The Rokodra Phylactery:

    The Phylactery is constructed partially of Rokodra and marked in Ilzakarn, which is the center of all infernal dealings the Draugar must make, and such is where the Draugar will come back after death. When the Draugar is revived they will be completely depleted of Maleus, no matter how much they had from their previous life. The Draugar, following normal Draugar lore, may not cast any Naztherak spells beyond T3 even with their Crimson Veil for a full OOC day. Should this Phylactery be shattered by any means, the soul inside would be sent to Moz’strimoza and be damned, unable to return to the material plane. As well as being able to be shattered, it may be melted with another Naztherak’s Malflame as it is made of Rokodra. The Phylactery would also gain the brand, as would the body of the Draugar, to protect both from the Draugar’s own Malflame. As per normal Naztherak lore, the brand will grow with tiers, growing from a small blemish upon the surface of the Phylactery, to a marking which encompasses its entire surface.

     

    Redlines:

    - The Phylactery would take 2 hits with a blade or 1 hit with a blunt weapon to shatter, and may also be melted with another princes/inferis malflame.

    - The Phylactery is made of Rokodra and will have all of its effects as well should one go to touch it.

    - The Phylactery may be moved after it has been created with an Sreq and proper rp of either 2 people moving it or 1 person of olog strength or greater moving it.

    - In essence, this Phylactery must follow the general redlines of normal Draugar Phylacteries.

     

    The Holder of the Soul:
    The body which possessed said soul now has no ownership of such, and must bend their knee to the lord of the creators choosing. Seeing as the creator of this MArt worships Kholidav, he would have possession over the soul. ST may choose to randomly and sporadically request things from the Draugar, of which they must complete or they are disconnected from Naztherak temporarily and will have their Phylactery heavily damaged, leaving it unable to move for an OOC week. These may range from small things such as an alchemical reagent like elf ears, or to large things that may require a separate MArt. This is to encourage storytelling and to aid in driving a narrative. The requests will always start small, growing as the Draugar grows in tier. 

     

    Redlines:

    - ET with managerial approval may, at any time, make a request to the Draugar that must be fulfilled within an OOC timeframe lest they be disconnected temporarily. These requests are fully up to ET discretion, and should advance in difficulty from tier to tier.

    - Should the task not be completed on time, the Draugar will be disconnected for an ooc week on top of the phylactery not being able to be moved in the same timeframe lest it be destroyed.

    - Should the Draugar take Pacting, they will only be able to be pacted to Kholidav.

     

     

    Red Lines of the Artifact:

             

    - The Draugar must gain a valid MA and must be placed on a valid TA for Naztherak to even begin to learn the spells.

    - The Draugar may now be harmed by another Naztherak’s malflame.

    - The Draugar gains the second malice as if they are pacted to the lord that owns their soul, though they gain no benefits.

    - The Draugar, due to being influenced by the lord of pestilence, may now become sick once more, and feel the effects of poisons or psychoactive agents.

     

     

    Explanation of the effect(s) (i.e. how it does what it does - slight bending of magic lore is allowed): 

             

    To desire both undeath and the corrupt power of Moz’Srimoza is truly a foul greed. By striking a deal using a phylactery constructed partially of Rokodra and marked in Ilzakarn, a Hzakhadlu is able to place the Prince’s Brand on the phylactery, where it will grow and spread just as it will on the Draugar’s undead form. This places the possession of the phylactery in the hands of one of the Five Lords, corrupting the Draugar into a False Prince, a Naztherak. In consequence, the Lord possesses full control of the phylactery’s physical form, an undead puppet for them to control, torment, and eventually consume. Kholidav the Prince of Pestilence would rule over this unfortunate soul, having full control to make him do his bidding.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

             

    Draugars are the manifestation of once great mages turned into undead. They have the strength of void mages and the mana to boot. Their soul is trapped inside a phylactery that prevents it from reuniting with its body, keeping the corpse from expiring. The corpse has the ability to host any magics that are not specified as forbidden in redlines, such as void or seer magics. They have 5 slots to use and retain any valid magics they had in life. Draugars hold many manias and phobias as well as a craving for knowledge, spending lifetimes collecting it. They are less bestial in nature and more longing in nature, seeking purpose in immortality. They are weak to Aurum, Holy magic, and direct sunlight, all causing physical pain and torment of some kind. They must feed on a descendants worth of life force once every 3 ooc weeks lest they wither and weaken further. They will starve to death if they are naught but a skull and have not fed for an ooc week. Draugars may also produce a veil through a ritual that may cast an illusion over their form and allow them to cast higher tier spells. This veil is unique to every draugar and allows them to hide among the living.

    Through the Craftsman's tinkering, a horrific scholar has been manifested. What looks like a skeletal amalgam of bird and man, two tattered wings of skeletal bone and decayed wings have been forged unto the draugar's back. His head has been transfigured, with a short half beak merged into a the skull.

    What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Alchemy

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Alchemy is the science of the material alphabet, using the symbols found in reagents and herbs to create potions and such. To extract the symbols there are various methods for the type of symbols you want. There is mundane extraction, which is just grinding the herb and soaking it with aqua vitae, then boiling it till its ash, to the elemental extraction methods, which allow you to get elemental signed symbols. The normal method of making a potion, mixing in the symbols into a base and boiling it till it changes, is rather basic, but specific higher tier potions have different methods to make them, such as a blasting potion, which, when made, must be boiled at a low boil at first, mixed in with one symbol, then let it boil over and add two more symbols and mix, then add instability and pray it doesn't blow up in your face. So in general, alchemy is fairly simple with extra steps to different potions.

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    There indeed are different subsections of alchemy called advanced alchemy. This includes Tawkins, Smoggers, and Animatii Crafting. All of these require the feat holder to be a tier 3 alchemist before getting these advanced alchemy feats. These subsections of alchemy can be further elaborated on in their own lore, as each requires their own TA.

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    Kei walks into his lab, humming a bit as he set a bunch of herbs on the counter. He took several mortar and pestles to grind all the herbs down into powder, before soaking them all with aqua vitae. He then left them to boil for an hour or two before coming back to examine what was left. He extracted the symbols of impediment x2, connection x3, reduction x2, order x2, and balance x1. He smiled and took out 2 bottles of liquid mana to use as the base of the potion. He then added the impediment, connection, and reduction symbols into one of the liquid mana bottles, mixing it till he saw it turn into a transparent color. He then took the order and balance symbols, mixing it in to the other bottle of liquid mana till it became a sickly red. He then braced himself for the dangerous part, and mixed the two liquids together. The result was...

    It was a success! He quickly corked up the bottle, preventing any of it from sizzling out. He now had a completed bottle of Null Arcana.

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

    "Alright student, today we are going to be learning to make a blasting potion. Now this is a dangerous potion to make, so you must be careful making it." Kei said with a small dip of his head. He then gestured to the counter of the lab, where a few mortar and pestles sat along with some herbs and a cutting board. "Okay, begin with the mundane extractions, you need the symbols of Strength, Rage, and Instability."

     

    The student began to do the mundane extractions, grinding the herbs into a fine powder and then soaking it up in aqua vitae. The student began to boil the soaked powders, and began to wait for them to turn to ash.

     

    "Good, now do the fire extraction for the symbol of burning while that begins to boil." He said, watching his student work.

     

    The student would begin to chop up the herb, before shoving it into the oven to dry it out. In the mean time they picked the symbols of Strength x2, Rage x3, and Instability x1 from the ashes of the mundane extraction. As soon as that was done, they took out the dried out herb from the oven and ground it up to a powder, before setting it alight with fire and left it for a bit till there was naught but ash. The student then took out the symbol of Burning x2, which was fire signed.

     

    "Alright now, press down some drakestail until you get enough drakestail oil for the base of the potion." He said as he took a seat a few meters away, keeping a keen eye on the student to make sure they would be okay.

     

    The student did such, putting the drakestail into what looked to be a juice press, squeezing it until they were left with an oil in a bottle. 

     

    "Good, set the burner to a low setting and let the oil come to a low boil, then put in the strength symbols, after which wait for it to boil over and add the rage symbols. Mix the rage symbols well before adding the burning symbols. After all of this, add the instability symbol and pray to the stars you don't have it blow up in your face..."  He said, before going to hide behind a bookshelf nearby. "Good luck!"

     

    The student would begin by doing as they were told, setting the burner to a low boiling setting, and setting the oil on top of it. They waited till it was at a low boil before adding the mundane strength symbols. They then set it to a higher setting, waiting for the mixture to boil over a little, before mixing in the rage reagent thoroughly as well. As soon as the rage symbols were disolved, they added the fire signed burning symbols to it as well. Now came the hard part, the student added the instability symbol and...

    It was a success! The concoction turned into a thick red mist and the student quickly corked the bottle, labeling it as a blasting potion.

     

    "Congratulations, I knew you could do it!"  Said Kei as he stepped out from behind cover. "Now, you learned the basics of alchemy, the rest you learn is up to you."

    I will fully look into such claims and, if they really did power game, I would verbally warn them and ask them to not do it again. Should they continue to do so I will report them to staff.

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Seer is a divine magic, unknown to just about everyone even other seers, that allows one to see what everything truly is. Seers are all technically blind, yet they can still see through their witness, a power Vaasek has granted unto every seer. The power of said witness grows over time, from feat seers, to ma seers, to 2 slot seers, to eventual ta seers. All seers gain some sort of mental defect to them, a delusion or anxiety, thanks to Vaaseks influence. Seers are masters of deception, and as such their casting tells can be anything that is obviously magical and harmless. Seers main ability is to sow and cultivate fallacies. This ability, with heavily monitored ooc consent, can permanently change a characters mental state.

     

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    While there are no technical subsections, there are differences between the 1 and 2 slot seers. 1 slot seers have less abilities and must sow and cultivate 2 people to be able to become 2 slot seers, whereas 2 slot seers have the ability to lead rituals and perform powerful spells. All spells that one slot 1 slot seers have, 2 slot seers also have. The only real difference between these sections is the abilities locked away by the 2nd slot such as ritual of mendacity or ritual of identity. Another key difference is one must have 2 slots to make a TA. For a 1 slot seer to unlock the 2nd slot of seer they must sow and cultivate 2 people to completion, and then undergo the ritual of sanctioning a 2nd time. The abilities a 1 slot seer has ranges from basic Caecic and appraise, to the aforementioned sow and cultivate fallacy, the primary ability of seers. Sow and cultivate fallacy has the ability to, with ooc consent, permanently warp a persons mind and change how they see the world and think. This can only be dispelled by paladins and shamans. Should one gain the 2nd slot they would keep this ability along with all other base seer spells gained in the 1st slot. 2nd slot seers gain access to seer truesight, which allows them to see through all opaque gas, mundane and magical, as well as all darkness and light, mundane or magical. This ability does NOT allow a seer to see ghosts, though the spot energy spell may do so if one has reasonable suspicion to cast it and see any cold spots in range. 2nd slot seers gain access to the rest of the 4th tier spells other than cultivate fallacy, as well as 5th tier spells once they reach said tier. Such spells from both 4th and 5th tiers would be dreamstride, veil in lies, ritual of mendacity, ritual of identity, and ritual of divining. All such spells are locked behind the 2nd slot. Should a 2nd slot seer go under the ritual of sanctioning a 3rd time, they may gain a TA.

     

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

    Kina would begin to be covered in shadows, his body slowly being enveloped in darkness...

    The shadows continued to envelope Kina's body, slowly his skin became more and more transparent as he himself began to look more like a shadow...

    Soon enough, Kina disappeared, leaving behind no trace of himself. Should he move faster than 3 blocks and emote or come within to close a range of someone, they would see a blur in the air.

     

     

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

    Oddly enough, seers do not teach their spells in character as they are taught through dreams from Vaasek himself. However, I will do the ritual of sanctioning as an example since this is how we make new seers.

    Kina looked to his prospect, smiling softly to them... slowly shadows of many shapes and sizes began to swirl around Kina, dancing as if they were in a fire light...

    Kina reached out his hand to his prospect, taking theirs in his... the shadows would slowly travel up Kinas body, crossing from him to the prospect.

    The shadows went from arm to arm, and soon they entered the prospects eyes... they could not see for a moment, stuck in darkness... then Kina said, "Open your eyes once more, and see the truth..."

    The prospect would open their eyes, able to see once more, their sight restored. They looked to Kina, smiling. Kina responded in turn. "We have a lot of work ahead of us associate, I hope you're ready."

     

     

     

    Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

             

    I would verbally reprimand them ooc, telling them what is and isn't okay. If they powergamed against another seer or broke a tenant, I would call for a lore strike to be put against them and, if this has happened multiple times, I would call for their disconnection.

    edit: also the effects of the weapons when used as ordinary weapons should be described. Are the elemental effects aesthetic if not used with the ability? is it just identical to steel?

    Thanks for the feedback Sam, let me elaborate a bit on some things

    How the weapon absorbs genus: The weapon absorbs genus by draining the life from the user, similar to how a vampire does. Instead of fangs however, it uses your skin to suck up the blood.

    Indestructability: It is indestructible by normal means. However, it may be destroyed by a group of blood mages or holy mages if they cleanse it in a group of at least 5.

    Aesthetic/effects: All effects of the weapons when used normally are purely aesthetic, and it is equivalent to heavy steel strength.
    Should ST require I edit the MArt to add these things, please contact me!
