You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Warily, Edelyn glances at the cushion but quickly brings her eyes back to the old hag. "Me- I-...I suppose...?" She keeps her body facing the woman while side stepping towards the cushion. As she settles into the seat, her nerves force the words out of her mouth. She told of her life starting from the family she was born into: a small family with no notability, her mother working as a maid for a noble family. "After my mother passed, the noble family allowed me stay with them. Which was very nice, don't get me wrong! But, I feel that I'll always be out of place there." Edelyn's eyes couldn't stay on the hag's face. As she glanced at the many candles in the tent, the remembrance of her mother brought back a flood of memories. "She had warm aura around her at all times. It was almost like I didn't need the sun when I was around her. I can still feel her worn hands on my cheek from the times she wiped away my tears or held my hand as we walked through the town." The weight of her memories quieted her nerves and thoughts. "I think that is all that is important...I think I shall leave now." She bowed her head lightly to the hag and left the tent, still remembering the warmth that is no longer with her.
