  1. Is the king's assistant the same as Seneschal?
  2. This is an RP server, and if that was meant to be an insult, then it was a poorly thought out one.
  3. I wish to help you to those goals, my liege.
  4. Esh, who knows, sorry if it seemed like I was pickin' on ya or something. He's just always making a big fuss about it.
  5. Well, I really never had the chance to become a true scholar, because there really is no place of learning within the kingdom of Oren, but I studied much under my uncle's vast amount of knowledge. OOC: I actually have no idea if there is some sort of university or great library, et. al.. That statement is just based off of speculation. If there isn't, I think one of the goals of my character will be to petition a site of learning, whether it be ancient history or just a place to record special happenings that we--the people--form in-game. I think it would be neat to have a place where new players could go in the world of Aegis to see what we've done so far. There could be an original dating system to enhance the lore, or we could just use the dating system we have now.
  6. What do you mean by "join minds", elf? Do you mean to bring about collaboration on a work of yours, or some strange magical bonding?
  7. Is this a past you are open to talking about, Hiska?
  8. We are the largest race in terms of population... I think we as a race will do very well, as long as we stick together, unlike the elves who seem to be divided.
  9. I think there will be an incentive for most people to stay with their jobs (such as baking, smithing, et al) because if they don't, they don't gain any money! Plus, if people really stick to the RP, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I want to become a lord or the king's Seneschal or some other political figure, so I'm not going to be running around fighting monster's and the like, I'll be collecting taxes and taking my seat in the royal court.
  10. Very good to meet you, Hiska, though you seem quite mysterious indeed.
  11. OOC: I do not think any sources of learning have been set up in Aegis, but we should look into that once we're in-game.
  12. I am Castor Williams Locke, a man of logistics and knowledge. I wish to know everything I could possibly know, and to become a political figure in the Royal Kingdom of Oren. Greetings to you all.
  13. What are those towers in the background?
  14. I do believe that I once worked with you when I was working in warehouse logistics? I may be mistaken.
  15. -Name: Castor Williams Locke -Gender: Male -Age: 24 -Race: Human -Occupation: (hope to become some sort of political figure within the game) -Hobbies: Castor enjoys spending time looking at statistics, sorting out the logic he can make out from them. He also spends his time with note-blocks, recreating music and making his own. He has also always had a bit of love for cartography, and is an avid book collector. His favorite genres of books are those in psychology, sociology, economics, government, fantasy fiction, and creative nonfiction biographies. -History: Born into the Locke family--known for their thirst for knowledge and the understanding of the world around them--Castor was brought up with the belief that anything can be done if you know a lot about it. Castor was a bit of a outcast when compared to his siblings, for while they all wanted to become authors and artists, he dabbled in logistics and numbers, economics, and sociology. He studied under his uncle's teachings (who just happened to be a micro-economist) until he was around 20, then made his move into warehouse distribution, and maintaining protocol of the many resources that were traded across the kingdom of Oren. It lasted much longer than it should have, as Castor was not very fond of the work. It was bland to him; it was lacking something. He realized that he needed a place in society that would bring him the most attention to his work, for he believed that what he did was an undermined section of reality. He was also always interested in the daily affairs of people, and the fact that his family were nobles brought him to the conclusion that he wanted to be involved in politics. He left the warehouse business around three and one half years later, and spent the few months after to begin building his legacy, one that he hopes will have a significant impact on The Kingdom of Oren.
