I stopped by and checked out your prices. They were atrociously high. 150 for a bow? I think I saw 250 for an iron sword as well. E-gad. With enough sweet talking, you could get a diamond sword for that price.

Did I say that? No. So why would you assume such a broad and likely personal meaning? This is a thread for the guilds who obviously need some help, or those who want it, such as "The Forgotten" who admittedly simply copy pasted your lay out, or the Cripsons who have a very bare, very "Last moment thought" lay out. Or even someone like "The Forsaken" who have a fairly nice lay out as it is, but wanted me to spruce it up a bit(Not saying they did, just an example).

Admins! Read this!: I've put this here since it seems at least 80% of all guilds are in this military section, so I figure this will be the most appropriate section to place this in. So if you wouldn't mind, please don't move this. Hello everyone. So, I've recently seen a few threads that seem to have simply copy pasted another guilds thing and put in their own points, or half hazardly thrown together, un-intentionally eye raping page. I'd like to assist in getting rid of these horrific pages, and helping all those who wish it to have professional looking guild pages. Need merit? Check out the Cal'ek Warband's page. While we're disbanded for the moment, that page is still a good display of some of my work all the same. I have also done a slightly similar but still unique lay out for a Knights Templar group as well. Simply post here, post your information, and I'll arrange it in such a way that it looks professional. Feel free to post any requests for the page here as well. Also, if you have a page up already but would like my help, simply link me to the page and I'll post a revised version of it here. Looking for a private thread on a private forum? No problem! Simply message me the guilds info and any requests for it and I'll send you back the finished copy, and the public will never have to know. Also, I do not add pictures. That is completely up to you. I will do all the writing, coloring, bolding, etc, but any pictures you wish to have you will have to make/find/apply yourself. P.S.: Yes, I realize this post doesn't bid well for my supposed skills, but I'm tired at the moment, and care little how this post looks. I simply wish to get the facts out so that I may assist those who don't have the time, know how, or whatever else to make a good guild page.

This seems more like it'd belong in the RP section rather than in the military and war section. Also, I like how you emphasize at the beginning of your post no meta gaming, then ask if people have any information about bandits, which couldn't possibly be used for anything other then meta gaming.

Exactly. That was exactly my thought xD We're all on edge waiting to get out of it. It'd truly be purgatory, which it is in a way, with elevator music.

I second both what Availer and Aceeri said. The death system is effective as it is in my opinion. Though some elevator music in the respawning crypt would be cool.

I plan to do something of this nature. However, I need to greatly refine the idea first, and then when the servers up, start collecting the necessary resources to set up some form of a base for the guild.

Name: Amagous (His birth name has been lost to time) Title: He is not yet worthy of a title Gender: Male Age: Likely 25 years of age. His adoptive tribe found him 23 years, 162 days ago, and he was a mere baby at the time. He considers the day he was found the day he was born, and keeps records of time and his age as such. Race: Human Occupation: Ever-changing. He is on a pilgrimage to bring both honor and glory to himself and his adoptive tribe any way he can. Appearance: 6'2 feet tall, Hobbies: Slaying creatures that have no honorable purpose, collecting books and scriptures of knowledge, challenging Dwarves to drinking contests and challenging Orcs to wrestling and friendly unarmed combat Notable Achievements: So far, there have been few things that have brought honor upon Amagous and his adoptive tribe. But, the few that have happened, he has recorded. -Killing his first monstrous spider(slightly larger than your average Orc) at the age of 13 with nothing for armament and armor other than his crude linen clothing and a wooden club. He earned honor for passing his initiation from peon to tribal member. -Assisting in a battle between his adoptive tribe and some human raiders at the age of 15. He did not kill any raiders in the fight, but he fought with Orc-like ferocity, a trait rarely seen among humans. He earned both respect and honor among his tribe for it. History: Amagous has no knowledge of his parents or where he came from. He was abandoned as a baby. How, why, and where escape his ever-growing knowledge. All he knows of his origins is that from as far back as he can remember, there were Orcs. Always Orcs. Orcs that could have eaten him, could have left him to die, or could have toyed with him. But these were not the savages of myth. Instead, they took the helpless infant with them back to their home with in the swamps, and there he was raised as one of their own. The Human traits of pain, desperation, fear, and treachery were slowly worked out of him over the years, replaced with the Orcish traits of blood lust, honor, unwavering courage, and loyalty. He was shown no mercy and no sympathy. He was expected to show only what he was shown; Strength. Just as young Orcs had to prove themselves to the tribes warriors, so did he. He would earn honor for victories as they did, shame himself with failures as they did, fight as they did, and eat as they did. Everything about him became familiar to his Orc Brethren. OOC: I was feeling far more creative earlier. When my creative streak returns, I plan to greatly expand on this history. Until then, that's all.

If I prove myself worthy of such an honor as to be remembered in the texts, I shall do so. OOC: Hot Damn. I don't think I've ever taken to a roleplay role this quickly. The problem with this is, it sounds great at first, but I've been through more RP servers than you can count on your limbs and their attachments. When you begin limiting people to ONLY their jobs, and nothing else, about 90% of the server gets bored and leaves, even if the RP is exceptional. While yes, people should try and stick to their job(s), they should not be forced to, or the very forces put into effect to stabilize the server will implode it. Just, encourage people to stick to their stuff. Warriors fight, but if they feel like it, could realistically go mine or chop wood. Just, not at the rate of a professional mining dwarf. As you said castor, if you are a lord or king's Senschal, you're not likely to be running around fighting monsters, since you'd have people under you to do that sort of thing. TL;DR Don't force people to stay in one job. I've seen it kill countless RP servers. Encourage people to stay to one job, but allow them to freely change if they feel the urge to, and it makes everyone happy.

Greetings to all of you, human, dwarf, elf, and orc alike. I have been called Amagous for as long as I can remember, a name instilled on me by the orcs that raised me. So long, infact, that my birth name has long since left my memory. I am a valiant fighter, raised and taught by an orc tribe deep in the swamps of Malta, a mainly human run kingdom far, far to the north east. Several years ago, I was sent out on my pilgrimage by my adoptive tribe. I must now prove myself worthy to those who I now call my brothers and sisters, or die trying. I am sure that somehow, they will find out of what becomes of me, and the honor or shame I bring upon them. Until then, I shall find a place for myself in this land you call Aegis, starting in the fabled city of Oren that I have heard so much about in my travels.
