Lupus Longstride was an elf unlike any other in his village. His skill with a longbow was unmatched, along with the crafting of these bows. He grew to fame within the trio of villages in the area, teaching bowcraft to all and improving relations. All the villagers would agree, he only ever gave aid to others, never himself. Perhaps a trait that could be his downfall?
After several days of travelling between the villages, he returned to his own: Elathias. But in place of laughter of joy... Was the sound of creaking timber and raging infernos. There were no cries of anguish or screams of pain, just the ambience of terror. His mind was assualted with feelings: Anger, terror and complete regret. He could have been there to stop this unknown force. His heart was heavy with this burden, so he left to find a new home. One filled with the same spirit as Elathias, one named Aegis. More specifically: Laurelin.
At the end of his journey, he came upon a sorcerer. "You seek Aegis?". "I do.." Longstride relpied. "Then you shall find it." The sorcerer raised his arms. "You shall be reborn into this land, to be one with the people there. But, be warned. This land is filled with both peace and war. Joy and strife. You shall meet both." A light began to fill Lupus' eyes. "Don't worry.. I'm more worried if Aegis has been warned of me..."
The light left. And the sorcerer began to walk back into the forest. While Lupus waited what seemed like seconds. He awoke. He awoke, to the land of Aegis.
