Server is back online, rebuilt the closest possible map image as I could. About an hour rollback.

Emergency Maintenance due to a GM giving out global creative mode and the issue not being corrected for over a minute. Many items were spawned in, trying to rebuild a recent backup to rollback to. We're very sorry for this inconvenience.

Hey Asulon, I just had an idea for balancing armor. What if I recoded it so armor acted as a shield? What I mean by this is that durability on armor acts as an extension of your HP bar; so you can't take any damage until your armor is fully broken. This would increase realism, balance slowness, increase value of raw materials and armor, etc. Thoughts?

Hey Asulon, I've come out with a revolutionary new modification to minecraft code to hopefully once and for all *fix* mob spawning issues! What I've done is made two important changes to the way spawning works, because previously the reason there were so few mobs even though we multiplied our spawn rate so much was because of situation like this: What this is, is an image of a cave that's about 30 blocks underground and has no light what-so-ever in it; yet Notch's janky code still thought it was a good idea to spawn them down there. So I've made a few amendments to how spawning works to combat this. Mobs will no longer spawn in light levels 0 or 1 if they are bellow Y:50. Every sunrise in-game, when the date changes over, all mobs in light levels 0 and 1 will be removed from the game world, as they will retreat back to the nether. We'll be making further modifications as time goes on and we see the in-game effects of these changes, so stay tuned to this post. Thanks!

I've re-coded and re-implemented our time plugin. We now have an official server date once more with server-wide notifications every 40 minutes (1 server day). I've listed all of the months and days of the week in order bellow so you can familiarize yourself with how the LOTC time system works. The date is updated in-game through a global notification at every sun-rise (In minecraftian, at time 23000). We worked with lore masters and our fearless leader shiftnative to figure out what year we should return in, and the year 44 seemed to make the most sense RP wise. For those interested, Aegis fell in the year 1351*, at which point the time keepers of our realm reset the year to 0 in celebration of the new Asulon era. To those who are complaining about item IDs: Hold an item on your hand and left-click your chest shop You will be given the actual price of the item you hold Now type your new price into the chat entry ie : 20 to set buy and sell price to 20 ie : 20 18 sets buy price to 20, and sell price to 18

You cannot unless you are assistant manager of shop. Good point with LWC thing, I'll fix that before release...

Hey Asulon, I'd like to make a much needed post today regarding the recent member/vip permissions mix-up. This issue occurred a while ago, and I was not made aware of it until about 3 days ago at which point I coded at the speed of light to correct it. Basically, normal members where able to do the following actions that they were not meant to be able to: Dig down to Y:0. Use LWC to lock their own chests. These were both corrected about 48 hours ago and the permissions were fixed. I'd like to apologize in advance for any frustration this may have caused any of our donors or other community members. Today I updated the normal member's permissions again to now allow them to /cunlock, which was broken in the hotfix I applied. So now normal members can unlock passworded chests from VIPs, but not place their own. We will be doing a massive LWC wipe for non-vip's within 24 hours or so from this post; the contents of your chests will remain intact, but any users that did not have the proper permissions to create the protected chests will loose the protection on their chest. If you wish, you can also donate before this wipe occurs in order to retain all the protected status(es). Anyway, now that that's out of the way, be sure to be on the lookout for a major content patch later today where we'll be installing the first edition of our next major addition to LOTC. I won't give away any specifics on what it is yet, and we'll be releasing a video later today detailing its usage.

The maintenance has concluded, and we’re now running on 32GB of DDR3-1666MHz RAM ^.^; big shout out to all of our donors who have made that upgrade possible, and we hope you enjoy the improved performance in-game! Hey Asulon, We'll be going under some unscheduled server maintenance today, April 8th (easter!), later today in order to perform some essential hardware upgrades. Our datacenter finally got in the new 16GB RAM sticks for our sandy-bridge processor, so we'll be upgrading from our current 16GB RAM to 32GB RAM. This will greatly improve server performance and maximum capacity of functions. The maintenance time is undecided as of now, but will only last about 20 minutes. Only the game server will be effected during this time. Thanks for your understanding in this matter, and sorry we couldn't have announced this earlier but these RAM sticks are in very limited supplies and need to be backordered 4-6 weeks in advance to get them. tl;dr | Upgrading from 16GB to 32GB RAM later today, 20mins downtime.
