In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Metagaming is using knowledge you posses in-game that your character would not know. It's cheating in a sense.
In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: I assume it's overusing emotions to get what you want. If i'm wrong, let me know.
In-Character Details
Character Name: Angchor Tyrfey
Character Race: Human
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Angchor’s young life was one she doesn’t remember. The only thing she knows of her parents are that they are, or were, stonemasons. The intricate marble charm that adorns her neck verifies that. With the italicized letter “a” in its center, it’s the only thing that gives her hope, aside from her Uncle Dynsper. It’s her most idolized possession, and is never seen without it. When her parents went missing on their trip to gather stone one gusting night, her uncle took her into his custody. Or what “custody” he had, for he was homeless, as she is now. Without a way to properly educate her, Dynsper taught her the only trade he knew. The art of music. Her lessons began as soon as she learned basic common-tongue, or at least what Dynsper new. She caught on quick, and soon began bringing in loose coins with her angelic tone. Dynsper would often accompany her on his lute, which he was extremely proficient with. They would get gigs at random Inns and such, bringing in enough money to buy provisions. At this time, Angchor was about eleven years old. While traveling through an old fishing town, an elderly human woman took both Angchor and Dynsper into her home after finding out such talent was homeless. Dynsper and the old woman; Gregga Greenhill, soon fell in love. Life was excellent for Angchor, as she now had a motherly figure to look up to. Angchor enjoyed putting the old woman to rest with her songs. Gregga was very intellectual, and properly taught Angchor about the world. Years passed, and Angchor’s uncle passed away in his sleep. Both Angchor and Gregga were grief stricken. Gregga herself soon passed away from a broken heart. The house that Gregga owned was given to Angchor, as she was the only person still alive that knew Gregga. With the horizon on her mind, Angchor knew she must find a place where she belonged. Selling the house for provisions and traveling needs, Angchor set out to spread joy with her voice, and hopefully find fame.
Angchor is now nineteen. She has brunnete hair, bright green eyes, and naturally dark skin. With the newfound money she got from selling Gregga’s house, Angchor cleaned her looks up. She was already very fair looking, now even more. She bought beautiful blue cotton robes, and felt shoes. She got a silver chain for her marble charm. As far as her personality goes, she is very talkative for a young girl. Spending so much time around rough and tumble drunkards in her youth really roughened her up, and gave her quite a “vocabulary”. She is not afraid to tell people off, including great brutish men. Aside from that, she is very kind, and willing to help the needy as much as she can. Even if she can’t spare much coin, she will always help. Angchor is chaotic good. If I left vital info out, inform me.
What are your characters ambitions?: To spread joy and good fortune through song, and to gain fame.
Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: See below.
Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: She is a fair looking girl, but is rough around the edges.
Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I cut my losses and keep strolling by. I need to save Gregga's money. She said I would be the one to obtain her house, I should not just blow away her money on items that will not benefit me. This dress and silver chain were plenty enough.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I will begin to sing to hopefully calm them. If that proves futile then I will try to reason between the two, and see their standpoints. If they are still spouting fumes, then I will take to the Dwarfs defense. I dislike bullies, but understand that Orcs anger quite easily. Hopefully the Orc will have the decency not to hit a girl. If not, then it's just a risk I would be willing to make.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I would ask if the man is hurt, then proceed to help him to his feet. I would inform him that some of his money fell out of his pockets, and give them to him. I would ask him where I could buy him a new cane. Buying the man a cane, I would then walk him home, feeling good about myself.
