Becoming FM does not involve him being assigned to one certain job, it involves him to be assigned to policing the forums and stopping problems with it. The first thing I would look for in an FM would be to make sure that they have had at least some involvement in the community already such as the Application Team or VAT, so I would know that they have already proven themselves on multiple levels.

Becoming an FM will not remove him from the App Team or VAT.
