Minecraft Name: Boodilly Applicant Name: Samuel Nil Race and Age: Human, 46 What position are you applying for? (Librarian, Maven, Inventor, Analyst, Phrenal): Librarian List any experience you have had with matters regarding that Department: Historical/social study in field for many years (~13 years of wandering) Describe the reason for your interest in that position (>5 sentences): I have had a great interest in general knowledge and history for a good deal of time now. Though I followed this interest by wandering and gathering knowledge from people, I am getting older and the hard life of a wanderer does not suit me anymore. I feel I would be better suited to a stable job with a bit less travel. Therefore, I seek to use my curiosity and experience in gathering information to aid the ministry. In addition, being able to work around a library and other scholars is an attractive prospect. I have some interest of creating writings of my own as well. Finally, By applying, should you be accepted you are expected to utterly adhere to the Common Clauses. Do you understand this?: Of course. Edited for spacing.

u]Out-Of-Character Main Minecraft Account Name: boodilly Alternate Minecraft Account Name: N/a In your own words, define what the act of Roleplaying is: Roleplaying is the act of living out the life of a fictional character in a video game or real world setting. In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is: The act of metagaming is using information your character couldn't have possibly had to your advantage, such as the name of a disguised character, or information from ooc chat. In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is: Roleplaying so that an event goes the roleplayer's way, such as forcing an action that would normally be preventible in some way on the part of the other roleplayers. Example: *Robert jumps on Fred, trying to knock him to the ground.* -Not *Robert jumps on Fred, knocking him to the ground.* *Fred tries to force Robert up and tries to rise.* -Not *Fred forces Robert up and rises.* In-Character: Character Name: My name is Certh Smith. What Race are you?: Human. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I am a Northerner. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was born to a peasant family, my father a smith, my mother a housekeeper. I had dark hair, dark eyes, with fairly normal looks. I acquired the trade of smithing from my father, as he taught me to make knives (which were not much more than shivs in reality) and nails as soon as I could stand the sweltering heat of the forge and loft a hammer high enough to pound metal. I was always a large boy as a child. Was tall as a cow by the time I was 8, and strong as a golem by the time I was 10. Had about the brains of one to, to hear my father tell it. He tried teaching me to read, never picked up much of it. As the boys of merchants learned to do their sums, I pounded away at steel and bronze. It was one of these days of smithing that I made what I believed to be my best work. It was a dagger, a bit rough, with a steel blade and a bronze handle, sharpened to a point and shined till it showed my image. In my haste to show my father this piece, I slipped. The dagger, still in my hand, made contact in my eye, rendering it useless. When I recovered, I returned to my friends. They at first were curious, then they seemed to be almost scared. Heartless sons of Iblees, I lost an eye, and suddenly I was a monster. Their hatred of me was endless.I started wearing an eye cover, but it did not make their scorn lessen. Soon, however, I slipped into behavior that saddens me to think of now. I became a scoundrel, a criminal, and a bully. I continued as such until I was a young man of about 12 years of age, when I was caught trying to take a man's purse of gold on the road. I was taken to jail in the city, far from where I had ever ventured, sentenced to twelve days. I had been in the town stockades before, but I was a boy in a jail of hardened bandits and thieves. The chief of the guard must have taken notice to this, as he stopped by my cell to inquire on my conditions of arrest and the like. He must have found me to be a capable boy, as he delivered me home himself, and had a long discussion with my father. The next morn I discovered that I was to train with the guards in the way of the sword so that I might learn discipline and become a capable servant to the city and kingdom as a guard and soldier. I would like to say that I became the nicest, most generous man ever to roam Asulon, but I still struggle greatly with my old ways. It might not be apparent, but cynicism and anger still run deep within me. As for now, I am currently looking for work. Probably as a guard, possibly as a mercenary, maybe even a hunter. Men, monsters, animals, it makes no matter to me at this point. I still have plenty of time to make a name for myself, being only 18 years of age. And what a name it shall be indeed. What are your Character's ambitions?: I have ambitions of power in the human guard, along with ambitions to become a great and well known bounty hunter and mercenary. I wish to get better at my father's trade of blacksmithing, which was cut short by my reckless pastimes during the later years of my childhood. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: I never learned to shoot a bow, and never will, due to my lack of an eye. I am not greatly religious, but I respect those who are, unless they try to push it on me. I am decent at woodcutting, mining, and excavation, though I am poor at farming and herbalism, even for a Northerner. It embarrasses me to admit, I am rather afraid of silverfish. Something was always unnatural about them to me, so small and strange, yet vicious. They can live in the dark down there for their whole lives. Something downright creepy about a living thing that does not require the sun. Eugh. Some argue that slimes are much fouler, but I hold that the silverfish is the worst of all. Open-Response-Questions Answer at least three out of five listed! Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small Halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?: Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: The sight of the iron was at first a major draw for me, but I resisted taking it, trying to stick to my new moral standards. As for the gold sword, it is weak rubbish that only kings and the vain would desire, since it holds no edge and does not last. I would only require it for the purpose of selling, and I am not a merchant, so I will not waste my time with such endeavors. And yet, as I leave the cabin I look over my shoulder, contemplating my choices. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: "Hail sirs, how do thou faire? If there is food to be found here, I am in need of provisions and will offer a fair amount of coin. Should thou be in need of protection, I am willing to chaperone thou to your location for a modest price." You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guards have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: As my ambition is to become well known as a bounty hunter, I would jump at the chance to help. Once on the tail of the bandits, I would make an attempt to be the one to kill their leader, or at least kill the most bandits for the most recognition.

This story starts on the day of King Perea's death. I had help fight in the battle, and was putting out fires, fueled only by adrenaline. Exept Adrenaline does not last forever. As I put out the last fire on top the old oren trading co building, I suddenly felt very tired. I tripped into the fire, burning myself horribly. Lying there, on the side of the fire, it seemed as if The fire was speaking to me. Now, It may have been the fact that I was near death or a Daemon, but its message made me beleve it was the former. It said "Rob, Son of a miller, You must create a great temple. At this temple, you shall bring together diplomats of every race and religon to help bring about peace.Your burns shall last as a symbol and a seal of your misson to bring peace. Now rise, there is much work to be done."Suddenly, my pain stopped, but my body still felt feeble. My skin was still charred as black as charcoal, and I could not lift my sword. This is how I set out to build this temple. Time passes, and I become a pastor and build the temple. These are some sketches An artist made of the temple. I still need diplomats from all races. Dipolmats will get a home built in their race's building style.

So, one day I was looking for some creepers to kill (their iron is always usefull) And I was struck by a grand idea! I shall go into the wilderness, survive, train, and have an incredible adventure! It shall be in this Book that I write the occurances during my time here. Day zero. I set off walking about noon with only my trusty iron sword for protection. First day. As I am walking I see a cave of the perfect size to be a home; exactly as I had imagined for my journey. I settle in, and make basic items like torches, a sleeping mat, food, a crafting bench and a furnace from scrap. Second day. I walk out side and am stunned to see a foul slime nearby. I decide to stay away from it. I start a small mine in hopes of finding iron. Third day. I wake up to find it is raining outside and decide to mine and stay out of the rain. My pickaxe is almost broken, so I start make a new one.I am suprised to find that I have no wood, so I dart out to the nearest tree and grab some logs. I make a pickaxe and start to mine, which yeilds 8 iron and 21 coal.I make it out of the mines just in time to get back in the cave before dark. Fourth day. Two creepers greeted me as I left shelter, and fighting them off I decied I would do some hunting. In the course of the day, I killed 6 creepers, two slimes, and 13 cows. In the afternoon, I built a cobble stone ledge with a steep dropoff for acrobactics traning. As night falls, I make myself a leather hat and leg guards. Fifth day. I started my day by clearing 5 creepers and a skeleton out of the area. One creeper gave me an iron shovel, to my suprise. I then did some acrobatics training. If you have not done this intresting form of training yet, it deals with the subject taking controlled amounts of damage from falling to help them get better at padding future falls. After about 5 falls, I feel very beaten, so I decide to hunt for pork rather than use my stock of emergancy food. As I am hunting, I relize that I stupidly have not made a fire for heat yet! I already had steel for my tinderbox, but I needed flint. Lucky, there was a gravel pit nearby, and it did not take much searching through the debris to find flint. Sixth Day. Today,I woke up at noon. I did some acrobatics, then mined for the rest of the day. I did not turn up much, just some coal deposites. During the night, I add a small farming patch of ten spots to train my herbilism on. Seventh day. I start out with acrobatics, and run through all my premade food. I went hunting for pigs and seeds and get some of both. Eighth day. Woke up early to do some extra excavation training. When I got done, I went back to the cave, to find a creeper waiting for me.I promitly killed it, then did some acrobatic training. I mined for the rest of the day, finding 7 iron. Tommorow, I hope to make a cake. Ninth day. Today was a mix of alot of activitys.First, I went mining with no results other than cobble. Then, I went hunting, killing several pigs and a few creepers. Along the way, I descovered that the axe made a good weapon. I have decided that I will train with the axe since I am aready proficent with the sword. Of course, I did more acrobatic training. Tenth day. Today followed the normal pattren. Getup. Clear monsters. Acrobatics. Then, it started to rain. This led me to spend this day mining, which yeilded 6 iron. Elventh day. Today, I went exploring to find some sugarcane for cake. Along my way, I found a grotto of white trees. (I can not remember what they are called) It was obviously made by man not nature. My jaw dropped to find out that I was not as alone as I thought I was. I continued a bit farther and found my sugarcane.I will hide my iron tonight, just in case. Twelth day. Today, cake was made. I woke up very late today, so I only had enough time to do acrobactics and fight off a few monsters. During one of my fights, my origonal iron sword broke. Thirtenth day. A normal day. fought off monsters. acrobatics. mined. Fourteenth day Today, desipe rain I hunted. I used the extra food to do acrobatics training. Fifteenth day. Woke up very late. Might be sick. Did acrobactics and mined till about midnight. sixteeth day. Pulled an allnighter without noticing it.I return to my home. Skelleton kills me.
