Licios notices one of leaflets from university. After reading it trough, he rummages his backpack until he manages to find empty sheet of paper an quill. After writing a letter he arranges it to be delivered to Redmagnet University. Titled: "To acting headmaster of Redmagnet University" Greetings. I've heard of your university and it has sparked my curiosity. I'm an explorer and scholar originally from Aegis, and I send this letter to inquire about possibilities of joining as student to your magic section. I regret that I'm incapable of approaching you in person, but my travels have taken me far from your location and I believe this letter shall reach you faster than I would. Should you decide to respond, I usually stay in Kal'Alras, so that would be best location to send a response. Should it be permitted, I'll visit Redmagnet as soon as possible on my return, to discuss of possibilities, and to answer any questions you might have, as I feel such are best handled face to face. Technichally, unless character is RP known villain, you have no way to know about his villain app in RP, so denying ppl becouse of it would be metagaming.

OOC: Is journal actually required? Im willing to write OOC journal, but my charater is not one to actually keep writing journals anyone could get their hands on.

I noticed, that earlier there were multiple people listed as apprentices when new app form came out. Now that they have all been romeved, I'd like to know are we still part of the guild, or do we need to re-apply?

It has already been stated that every capital will have guild hall.

I wasn't asking becouse of wanting to be off from guild. Mainly I was concerned by thought that ppl would actually be restricted to certain type of mage, instead of being able to go their own way if they so please. Thanks for reply.

Does this mean that only members of Mages' guild will be able to use magic, or will it be available to others too? And please, no "Undead and Ascended dont belong to guild" answers people. I've seen enouch of those for a lifetime. Not blaming anyone here, I've just had bad luck running on trolls everywhere.

Greetings to all denizens of Aegis. Im Demolicious, though I prefer the name Licios, a scholar and explorer of mysteries and wonders of Aegis. Good to see my exploration was not in vain. You will definately see more pics as I explore the world of Aegis more.

Some screenshots I have taken while exploring wonderous lands of Aegis. I could wander around for whole day, just looking for beautiful places. Will update whenever I find interesting places. Exploration really pays off, even if only as scenery. Small peaceful valley. Frying pork at campfire, tent on left A pit, nice view Scenery Quite a drop. You can find wonders below ground. Main problem with reagent magic is limited resources. If everyone starts to hunt lapiz for example, it will soon be completely used. Then magic system will go useless, due to no one being able to cast spells. Also, binding magic into hoes(staffs) seems quite a pain, as you will have to carry large amount of hoes with you. Also, if durability is used as mana, we will face same problem as one with reagents. My own suggestion would be to make mana bit like hunger: a gameplay mechanic, that will give you certain amount of mana. That mana is then used in casting spells. Rather than use durability, or have auto-regen, I would suggest some item that is harder than normal to get, but is still renevable resource, to be needed in order to replenish mana. For example mushroom soup or slimeballs, or even make mana potion as an item, that would require rarer renevable ingredients, mushrooms, slimeballs, bones etc. This kind of mechanic would boost server's economy even more, due to large need of items that were previously not so important or sought-after. There could also be way to increase your maxium mana, for example mana being like skills in MCMmo. To prevent unbalanced super paladin-barbarian-mages, for example preventing combat skills from increasing anywhere from radical bonuses(every race has certain profiency) if magic skills are increased. This would force people to choose between warrior and magician. Maybe even restricting magicians in only some armors, or no armor at all. I also agree with the idea of having earn magic spells, though I disagree with idea of epic quest everyone would have to perform. It just makes server seem like generic MMO where everyone does exactly same things. Rather, there could be some ways to start path of magic for your character, for example finding rare(but propably should be more common than necronomicon)book of magic, or becoming apparentice for already learned mage.(though this might be hard to perform, for apparenticeship would have to last some time, or there would be 'instant mage' trainers) Or simply just gather certain amount of certain resources and minas to pay and supply studying to some kind of npc. Stronger spells would also be learned when your magic skills increase. These are my thoughts, feel free to comment.
