Songs by the greatest underrated band I've ever heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kL2IbTpy2ZU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoNPiCzCUVY -
I've decided to resign from Holmes. I just don't feel utilized and the whole thing was sorta out of my character's goals. Thanks for having me though.

This will not be chronicled day by day, but rather when a significant event arises, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to read that I went fishing one day and frolicking in the fields in another. Each account will be titled accordingly. _______________________________________________________________ Elementary For most of my life up until recent years I was raised by my father, Gaius Dastudr, whom was a blacksmith with an advanced craft that some compared to the dwarves, though my father humbly refused to believe that. My mother had some sort of complication at my birth, and though she survived brining me into this world she would ultimately die two weeks later. According to my father her condition worsened by the day and there was nothing the local physicians could do. There always a sort of guilt I felt in this knowledge, her dying so I could have a chance at life, but as the years came and went I came to terms with that fact, and though I morn the loss of a mother I never knew, when my father spoke of her it was always as if he were speaking of the perfect angel sent by the Creator. In that I take some comfort. My name is Shadak Dastudr, I write this at the age of twenty-four years, and my personal story begins at an end. In recent years my father was having strange headaches, and after a diagnosis from multiple physicians it was confirmed as a brain tumor, they were powerless. I was devastated when he finally past, your never truly prepared for that sort of thing. After all these years of him being there for me, educating me, teaching me how work, read, write, education of things that were from the privileged even, after all that we had been through, he was gone. Without him my ability…and my resolve to keep up with the smithy we owned deteriorated, requests piled up and not getting filled, customers leaving for someone who could do the job. Everything was a wreck, and I was forced to sell all of it, the materials, the tools and the smithy itself. That was one year ago, since then I have been roaming the land looking for any sort of work. I decided to try my luck in Oren at the human capitol, perhaps someone there was willing to hire a smith. The journey took days but eventually I made it to the gates of Alkhazar. I was disappointed however in my search as there was no one who seemed interested in my talents. Bitter I stormed out in my frustration, it seemed that would have little options than to live in the wilds for the rest of my life. My fate was now left up to God, and what better place to do that at the Cloud Temple, after which I would go into the woods and gather whatever raw materials I could find. My trek for it was interrupted when a young woman approached me with a hail, she gave me her name; Lei. I gave her mine and she inquired what I was currently doing, and I told her that I had lost most of my things lately and that I was going to gather materials, I don’t know why I forgot to mention the temple but it didn’t matter. She just gave me a smile and told me that she wouldn’t keep me any longer, we then said our farewells, I not realizing that we would meet again, and it was only later that learn that she was part of an agency called Holmes. Not long after this encounter, mere days in fact, that I had another one. This time it was a man who was well equipped and had a steely gaze. He hailed me on the path, and appeared to size me up, and for a moment I feared that this was a highway man who would be sorely disappointed with his find. He asked me if I was looking for work, I answered, “Yes actually,” it seemed God saw my problem and answered my prayers in a most unexpected way, they say He has a habit of doing that. He asked me, “Would you want a job in protecting goods? It pays in a sword and a bed.” I answered, “I would, though I have no provisions at the moment.” He merely smiled and said, “I can outfit you on the way to HQ, don’t worry.” The man whom I learned was Rob Mills, Captain of the Holmes agency, took me their said head quarters, or what I assumed was their head quarters. Inside He asked me a few me a few questions, testing me, and apparently I passed because I was inducted into the agency almost immediately. In truth I had never thought that I would take on the responsibilities of a law enforcing agent, though I did have combat skills and an adept smiting ability, so I supposed in the grander scheme of things my attributes would be put to good use. Still, I hope one day I can retire from this, open my own smithy, until I am loyal to this agency that gave me so much when I had nothing. Rob then took me to their housing, (or HQ?) supplied me with a room and a sword, just like he promised. Later we and other agents went on patrol and came across a man who called himself Trast the Traveller, who bared news of a rumor of an undead uprising. We quickly divided ourselves to warn the nations of these attacks, hopefully word would get out in time. _______________________________________________________________ My Account of the Battle of Kal’bryst It was night, and for some reason it felt longer than the others…there was something in the air I could feel it…I was on a pathway when I heard a great amount of footsteps behind me, imagine my surprise when I saw an entire army marching down the pathway! Not only that but they seemed to be composed of every race, Man, Elf, Dwarf, and Orc alike marching side by side. I moved aside to let them pass when I overheard some of them shouting how they would take back Kal’bryst from the undead. Was this the uprising that was rumored before? Seeing all of these citizens of their nations…no, citizen of Aegis march fearlessly onward like they did inspired me to join them, and I did so with vigor in my heart. The journey was long and arduous, and seemed to last for days, but that couldn’t have been because the sun never rose…then again…At last we reached the sight of our struggle, the fortified once dwarven city of Kal’byrst. The heavens trembled as thunder roared and lighting struck several times in similar areas. A disgusting and foul smell pierced into my nostrils, and the only thing that I could think to be the culprit would be a rotting animated corpse. We were upon a hill, which would work in out favor considering it was the high ground. Before we could fortify ourselves however a giant crashed onto the scene, moaning and dribbling the sight of us. We bombarded it with arrows as it charged, and it fell just short of reaching us, that could have been disastrous. Skeletons and zombies poured from the city gates, but we managed to push them back without too many casualties. We knew however that what we just fought was only the first wave, and we had not the strength and manpower yet to storm the city, for that we would need more mortal reinforcements, and the leadership of the Ascended. Quickly our ranks created a makeshift wall of wood between us and the center flank of the enemy, and later a stone wall behind it. Tents were made as well as supply caches. A good thing too, because the next wave was upon us. We were able to keep them at bay for the most part, and their current numbers were dwindling when they sent another giant after us. With ammunition low we took the fight to it, at least I and a few brave others did, I assumed the rest of our ranks were otherwise preoccupied. We took turns making gashes into it, striking at it weak points and dodging its swipes at us. There came a point where it had no chance to defend itself and toppled over, and all at once I and the others with me leapt onto its body and pierced into its foul flesh. With it dead we returned to our camp. We were hoping for some sort of reprieve, but the enemy would see to it that we wouldn’t get the chance. They appeared at our right flank! A slew of zombies, skeletons, and the dreaded creepers caught us of guard, it was extremely fortunate that reinforcement arrived then, mortal warriors came from the south and with their aid we beat them back again. We all however were itching to storm the gates of Kal’bryst now, and soon enough the Ascended arrived to lead the charge. We all shouted battle cries and declarations of love for this land and pushed forward. Inside the city the undead were waiting for us but they were unprepared for our tenacity we broke though their defenses quickly, and began cleansing the city of their filth. The battle was long and hard fought, I received a decent amount of scars from it, and in the process I lost my sword. But then the sun finally broke through the veil of darkness and the creatures returned to the void. We proclaimed victory on this day, and hoped that on another this city would flourish again. The great Wandering Wizard Availer himself whom led us here, warned us however that the fighting was not done. I believe him, and in truth I survived this by the skin of my teeth, I must return to my agency and see if they have an assignment for me, meanwhile I must also prepare for the next battle which I fear will come all to soon. _______________________________________________________________ (ooc: As you can see my posts we be made into chapters of sorts, when something eventful happens to my character I will post again. The begining part is back story up until Shadak travels to Oren, the rest actually happened. Also I do not claim that the account of the battle is entirely accurate, its just what I remember off the top of my head. And yes I was there, if you watch the live stream and see a dude called IronPhoenix7, thats me. Also obviously some bits are a bit spiced up to keep the story from sounding monotnous. Let me know if you want me to write more.)
