-----------------
Out-Of-Character: Leave this part blank.
-Minecraft Account Name:dyldo
-How old are you?: 20
-Time-Zone/Country of Residence:GMT, UK
-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes to both.
-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm a business student, bit shy, little bit isolated right now as I live in the same city as the university, meaning that my university friends go off back to their homes whilst I'm here, alone... Been finding RPing fun lately in other games, like Champions Online lately, it's been fun to stay entirely in character.
-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: On most weeks, maybe 5 hours a week. On particularly unbusy ones, maybe up to 10.
-How long have you played minecraft?: Probably about a year and a half.
-What do you know about roleplaying?:
As mentioned earlier, I've lately been RPing on Champions Online, playing entirely in character as a businessman who blackmailed the main superhero team into giving him hero rank and access to their armouries. It's been fun. I also have... Well... I'm not quite sure if it counts as LARPing, to be honest. Every time some of my non-university friends meet up for anything which needs a costume, they turn up and act in character for quite a while... We don't really have any foam swords or anything like normal LARPers, it's just fun to mess about, usually whilst a bit drunk.
-What do you expect this server will be like?: I've been playing as a wandering soul, and been looking at the lore, and although it'll be interesting once I've got it all in my head... Well... It's going to be very confusing at first. The regular Minecraft game is fine, the money system's not too disimilar to Tanelorn's or Nyancraft's, so it's mainly the really epic amounts of lore and legends you all have that'll take time to learn.
-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Mainly the Champions Online Roleplayer's Minecraft server, which amusingly enough, none of us actually RP on it, and it's very isolated a lot of the time, mainly as we don't use any kind of currency on it... I still pop on there now and then, but it seems really dull beyond the occasional teaming up with others to harvest zombie pigmen flesh... MMM... Hellspawn pigs, can't beat em.
-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, although the skins are currently unavailable, a 404 error occurs, so I cannot agree to using the standard skins. I'll have to make up a skin that looks vaguely similar to your own...
-Name the 4 races on this server:Orcs, Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. Also, technically don't the Daemons and Aengels count, even if you can't play as them? And then there's the God, which could be a race unto it's own...
-How did you hear about us?: Mixture of Word of Mouth on the Tanelorn server and also you're one of the upper hits on the google search 'Minecraft RP server'.
-What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: dyldo
In-Character:
-Character Name: Darnius Olophin
-What is your Race?: Human.
-Biography: A human born in the Temple, like all sentient races of the Aegis, he quickly became enthralled with the stories of the local library, but found that many of the stories were biased towards the species of the writer. Slowly, Darnius began to thirst for that rare thing, the completely unbiased tale, a factual document that states things precisely as they are, warts and all. Darnius gained a sudden interest in other cultures in his search, trying to understand the warlike ways of the Orcs, the mineral loving ways of the Dwarven Race, and the deeply magical ways of the Elves. He sought true Balance in all things he did, neither being good nor evil, just being analytical and logical. He grew a slight interest in magic, finding the usage of swords and other, similar melee weapons to be 'crude weapons from an uncivilised age', thinking that magic could potentially allow him to defend himself from the roaming monsters without resorting to a bow, with which he has a tendency to fire into his own feet, and whilst opening the known facts about the universe into which he has been thrust. Although he dislikes melee weapons, and, to put it bluntly, war, he does respect the guards of the cities he goes to, and he does respect the necessity for any sufficiently developed nation to have an army, he just thinks that there must be a better way for nations to exist, without war.
-Character Age: About 20 years.
-Character Appearance: Brown haired, short-bearded, tallish man, looking slightly older than he really is from his beard, which has been told to be obscenely short by a dwarf tradesman once, despite it being fairly ordinarily sized for a human. Has a tendency to ignore fashions, and has a slight pallor to his skin, as though he has spent more time in dimly lit libraries than under the sun.
-Character Personality: Generally peaceful unless provoked, with a insatiable thirst for knowledge.
-Your ambitions: World Unification. The state upon which all nations unite as one and share all data freely and smoothly until they are all one entity.
-Can your character read or write?: Can read incredibly well, however has trouble writing legibly without splattering ink with modern quills.
-Can your character mine?: Has read Dwarven traditions on mining, but has never put them into practice.
-Are you a capable builder?: Very much so, although (OOC) I do tend to disconnect, plan it in Paint.net first, then reconnect and then build(/OOC).
-Can you wield a sword?: Yes, although he dislikes them, preferring to talk opponents down.
-Enjoy Farming?: Has read on farming techniques, but has never put them into practice.
-Does your character have any special skills?: Nothing beyond a lack of preconceptions towards other races. Well, except orcs, after they refused to let him enter their city after a long journey there to read their libraries, if any. He also thinks that humans have a high tendency to die, as in this week alone, seven people have died by the roadside, leaving him to bury them and attempt to leave a small memorial where they died, and attempt to persuade the guards to assist in finding the recently fallen's next-of-kin.
-A screenshot of your skin:
Gah, I forgot to crop it... Oh well, it shouldn't be TOO bad to see (also I'm too lazy to reupload it now)... It's not quite the standard skin (i.e. not at all), but as I keep getting 404 errors trying to access the standard skins page...
-Other Information: The Lore is actually quite hard to digest in one chunk. Considered doing a timeline so you can just look at each date in turn and absorb that into your head?
[i edited all of this because it was badly formatted the first time I posted it, and I didn't really put a proper picture in of the skin, just a link to where I originally got the texture from.]
[Edited again to fit my character so it's more playable, as the original concept was very vague. Also corrected a few spelling mistakes... I don't NEED to edit all this, I just feel bad about it being all... Rubbish. Mainly the character description.]
