((Huh. Respectful conversation has failed I suppose. You make decisions in game based upon your characters views but you cannot always act upon those actions in game due to meta reasons ( as a burglar you cannot rob "locked" chests as Krog the Destroyer you cannot destroy a protected city all willy nilly.) You cannot simply deface the world because your character wants to create and open pit mine. You have to tailor your roleplaying to what is accepted. Likewise you're "character" didn't decide "Hey, lets pull down Winterfell" YOU decided to destroy somebodies work in order to bolster your own. Even if the undead were to turn Winterfell into their own keep it wouldn't hurt Alstion anymore than than having a much larger, much better defended keep the same distance to the north of Alstion. Again removing Winterfell would be an extreme disservice to the server. The City is built expertly (and much better than hodgepodge Alstion), it oozes with potential lore and character. It also looks sexy to both new players exploring and veteran characters who see it again and again. The best thing for the server would be to have the city transferred to somebody who plays often (such as deanofantastico although his Winterfellian character is now dead). This player will then recruit fresh guards and citizens to the fort and re liven it. This way we save YOU the time tearing it down, save the server an iconic location, keep a well defended fort in the north so Alstion doesn't sit alone, and make those of us who enjoy Winterfell happy. So Winterfell's creator has given up on it?))

((And yet a ghost town is better for the lore and feel of the server than an open field. A ruin is better for the server than an open field. A demonic fort is better for the server than a open field. Honestly you try to tear down Winterfell and you will have more than the undead to worry about. The fort is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else anyone else has built in the North [or Oren in its entirety] why would you destroy something so well built that somebody put so much time into? How would you like your creations to be torn down simply because you can't give them much time. Winterfell will be repopulated, give it some time and if you care about the North's defense put some guards in Winterfell))

To tear down Winterfell would be a folly I suggest instead Alstion annex the fort as it's own and see to it's defenses. The fort's defenses are formidable and an asset to the kingdom. ((Winterfell is sexy and the best designed town in Oren. Seriously tearing it down would be a disservice to the server.))

I would be glad to help you IC with this endeavor Fantasti. As you know my character had already attempted to start such a project. It could add tremendously to the games lore whether the wall actually provided significance defense or not.

Fantasti I would love nothing more to do what I can for Winterfell. It pains me to see the fort so abandoned. I need no house nor equipment but only food. If there is need for bodies let me know.

The northern plains are long friend and often local lords are not too keen about a wall going up in their lands. I wish you luck with your project and only wish it could have met my wall. ((Might as well just call this server the Game of Thrones server for the direction its taking haha))

((Some of you may who pass through the north may have noticed a Wall going up near Winterfell. In order to aid with the modern history of Aegis (in a small way) I am going to put my characters fictionalized experience into writing in a journal like format. When all is said a done there should be an in game book of the following writings. I'm doing so in hopes of fleshing out my character, improving my personal RP ability and to hopefully add a little bit to the history of Aegis. The outer frame sections near the desired height, and I have reached from frozen lake in the west to frozen ocean in the east. The harsh Northern Blizzards have been relentless and have hindered my work, however, they have provided one boon: As ice accumulates along the walls it hardens and forms an extra barrier to defend against the pass against a undead attack. I believe I might even add ice to the structure myself when I am done with the frame. From up here one can almost see the end of the Northern plains. Ahad, 22nd of the Amber Cold, 1306: I am back in the mines, excavating more stone for The Wall's frame. It has been four days now that I've spent in this darkness, I'm begining to be reminded uncomfortably of a life long gone. Even down here I hear a treacherous thunderstorm growing in the Northwest, I have never been a religious man and yet I find myself praying to whichever god will listen that no undead scout comes upon The Wall this early in its construction. I can only hope the relentless blizzard will keep it camouflaged to prying eyes. I have just about all the stone I will hopefully need. I will soon be returning North. (TBC.)

My path lies north not south and I no longer have need for a road to the capital. I am saddened to hear that the village that supposedly guards the North is barely inhabited, I suppose that is a given for the environment.
