  1. Ogdan Goldhand wipes the Orener blood from is large, jeweled waraxe. "T'day was a good day." he says as he finishes cleaning the scum off.  "Da' Oreners fall easiah d'an I f'ought." he chuckles to himself returning to his band of dwed. He chants praises to the Brathmordakin as they hike back to Jornheim.

    MC name: Ogdan

    Forum name: Ogdan (Benben582)

    Discord Name and Tag: Riptyde#8160

What is your timezone?: EST, although I often play late at night

How do you wish to work on the wiki? (Writing, updating lore, etc): I wish to expand on the unwritten dwarf lore. There seems to be some missing and I'm willing to fill in the pieces.

Have you worked on the, or any wiki before?: I have not.

Which lore are you most familiar with?: Dwarven Lore

Please provide an example of a wiki page you are not satisfied with and list aspects that could be improved:

https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Dwarven_History, this history only goes up to Athera. Newer players and old would love to see what is going on now.

This page, https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Ironborn shows how little lore was written on the Ironborn. But they played a big role in Athera if I recall correctly. This one here could also be fleshed out more,

There are also many other new and old clans alike that have not been added to the wiki, to list a few: Blackaxe, Silvervein, Stormbreaker. I could surely collaborate with their leaders and get these into the wiki.

Please provide an example of a wiki page you see as a model example and list your reasoning:

    https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Frostbeard,

This one is done quite well. The clan is well identified. You can easily use the page to build your character. I think it's one that most clans should strive for.

Please showcase your abilities with either:

    1. A short writing on the subject of your choosing.

       https://wikia.lordofthecraft.net/index.php?title=Kingdom_of_Kaz'Ulrah Expanding upon this page:

The History of KazUlrah is short. However, it is packed full of glorious moments and honorable victories. Led by King Verthaik II Frostbeard, son of Kerwyr, he took the throne and led the dwedmar to great feats. He won many wars and caused the mighty Grand Kingdom of Urguan to surrender at his feet. The kingdom seeks for an end to lethargy and a start to a new era for the dwarves. They seek not for war but for all dwed to return under one banner.

Since independence in 1626 they worked vigorously. Training and preparing for what lay ahead of them.  Their Blackaxe and Goldhand allies soon came to their defense in new Jornheim. Thus, the kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah was formed. Soon after, the Clan Silvervein joined the ranks of the nation of Kaz'Ulrah.

War broke out amongst the dwarves of Kaz'Ulrah and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan when a member loyal to Kaz'Ulrah was beaten and nearly left for dead. King Verthaik issued a Denouncement to Urguan. Stating an honor duel must be held.  Edel was posed against Freir Irongrinder. The terms being that if Edel won, his kin Thori and a sum of minas would be given, and if Freir won, the Denouncement would be lifted. Edel won the batlle, hoping to claim his prize and have his kin returned.

The dwarves of Urguan refused to pay. Instead they held onto their precious minas and armor. Thinking nothing of it. But King Verthaik was outraged. He gave them three stone days to deliver the items. As expected, the curse of Gruimdugan weighed heavily on the dwed of Urguan. They refused payment. To which King Verthaik replied with none other than, war. He called upon all his allies from the Rex of the War Nation to the sturdy Norlanders. To form the what is now called, the Coalition.

The war raged on from Victory at Jornheim Fields to the Victory at Fort Vanir. But as the dwarves of Urguan were pushed back into their caves they were running out of dwed to fight. Soon enough on the year of 1636, Urguan surrendered to Kaz'Ulrah. Fili Grandaxe kneeled at Verthaik's feet.

This was the start to a new era of dwed. An era which brought prosperity to it’s people. Under one ruler, the Kingdom was then proclaimed Capital of all Dwedkind.

  3. Ogdan finds the note, upon reading it he speaks aloud,

"I dunnae want our people divided. Howevah times have changed, an' fer the better. We are thriving in an active, bustling community uv' dwed that has been unmatched in previous years. Now when I walk da halls I see activiteh, drinkin', laughter, and mos' of all friends. Kaz'Ulrah is now the home of most dwed and it has been actively workin' for the better of our race. I see more activity now d'an ever before. I understand d'at it is nae easy to let go uv' somef'ing we 'ave built our whole foundation on. However, it is toime t' embrace change. King Verthaik is nae cruel ruler. His father Kerwyr may 'ave had some ill intentions howevah it was only for his clan. He sacrificed everyf'in for the longevity of his clan. It was nae for nothin' either. His son, Verthaik is a fair ruler. An' has proven that the dwed can prosper under his rule."

  4. Ogdan Goldhand smiles at the surrender, his cheers and applause joining the rest of the dwed around him. "NARVAK OZ KAZ'ULRAH! NARVAK OZ KING VERTHIAK!"

Tears well up in his eyes as the thought of Kerwyr, his dear friend's sacrifice. What it has built today. He raises his mug in celebration. He lowers it to his mouth swashing it around before swalling it.

  5. 5 minutes ago, Twilight Druid said:

To clarify "Golem Launcher" is the name because the arm of the device is reminiscent of a golem arm, its purpose is not to launch golems its purpose is throwing payloads with more accuracy and distance than traditional trebuchet's.

You should make that more clear in the OP

  6. MC Name: Ogdan

    Character Name: Navarak Goldhand

    Age: 72

    Profession: Leatherworker

Have you read the clan history? (Please actually read through it): Yes.

Short Bio (One paragraph or more) : Navarak Goldhand was never much of a miner, blacksmith, or stonemason like many of his friends. He had a passion for gold. His silver tongue struck him deals with worksmen, thus striking more deals with craftsmen, and thrusted himself into the economy. Selling whatever wares he could get his hands on and striking deals with just about anyone that would pass him. He was known around his small town as the 'dwarf that talked too much' and the 'pushy lad'. So the town decided to not buy his wares and therefore put Navarak out of business. He paid his workers what he had left, packed his bags and set off for a distant land. One full of riches and many other merchants he could bond with. He sailed for Axios.

Upon arrival he was shown the path to the kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah, where his kin, the Goldhands, reside.

What are your characters ambitions? (become famous merchant, head guard, etc.): Become a famous merchant. One of the richest and most profound Goldhands there ever was.

What kind of experience are you looking for in this clan? (friendship, rp experience, etc): Rp merchant experience, friendships, and to help bring the clan to a new light.

What clan member are you related to, and do you have permission to roleplay as their relative, son, or daughter, or where you bloodbonded?: This is undecided yet, however I would like to be Morug's son if that's possible. I'd have to ask him. However I'm open to just about anything.

Do you swear your loyalty to the Goldhand Clan, and to carry out the honor and pride of the clan?: I swear.

    - Navarak Goldhand

  7. *Notices are strung up in every nation and settlement*

I, Ogdan Frostbeard, have returned to the surface. To see the place I once called home empty no cheering in the halls, no clamor of joy, just emptyness. I returned to my desert home only to find it ransacked and torn apart. I am deeply saddened by not the materials I lost. But the sentimental value of some of those things that were taken from me. I am asking everyone who has heard my name, seen my inventions, or read my writings to return any of the following to me for a reward.

    - Books Written by Ogdan Frostbeard and or [Master Engineer] Ogdan Frostbeard

    - Inventions made by myself, Ogdan Frostbeard.

These items I hold dear to my heart and have poured my heart into many of these writings and inventions. I am deeply angry with myself for not putting these in safekeeping. However I hope the good of the people will return these belongings to me. You will be compensated, I guarantee that.

    - Ogdan Frostbeard, Grandson of Gorum Frostbeard, Master Engineer.

  9. The crude redstone alarm clock buzzed and Ogdan's eyes slowly opened. He pushed the button and fell back asleep only to wake up seven minutes later and have to flip the lever instead of the button to allow the alarm to shut off. He rubbed his eyes and struggled to shift his weight and sit up. He sighed looking around his dingy cavern, "I t'ought me bein' alone would help me wit' me research but ah have gotten as far as I would 'ave if I was drinkin' a cup uv' ale with me bruddahs." he muttered to himself.

Ogdan slowly stood up and scanned his work, his gadgets. The 'projects' that remained unfinished lay scattered across each and every surface. He frowned in disgust at himself, "I'm bettah d'an dis." He kicked a small mechanical ale maker that he had been working on for weeks. "It's toime ah return. It's time mah brain gets put to use. I'm sick uv' moneh. I jus' want to invent." he smiled with a sense of hope in his eyes. "Ah am da bes' tinker d'ere be and I will prove d'at." With that he filled a backpack with his most valuable items and wiped the dust from his face. He took one last look at the place and smiled, then headed towards his "steam"boat. He managed to get it running for about four hundred meters before it began oveheating. He sighed and grabbed the paddle and headed towards the Kal'Omith docks.

What Ogdan found was not his home but rather something much different. A place torn. His shop, once a gem of the city now vanished overcome by some other man willing to purchase it. Make no mistake Ogdan knew what was coming. He knew he what was at stake. But war? How could such events happen so quickly he thought. Torn, Ogdan found a spot to lay his head in Kal'Omith. Pondering where his tinkering efforts would be put to use best.

  11. Not sure if bumps are allowed, however this is a different case. I spoke with The Pink Lion about joining. I was about to do the application then real life hit. Had to move, lots of irl stress, ect. I was wondering if I could still undergo a trial. I don't mind if it's different than the first. I can work with whatever you toss at me!

    Thanks,

As the year 1600 approached, Ogdan packed up his things, secured his doors and set off. He set off on one of his most exciting ventures to date. He visited every settlement he had time for and carefully mapped each one out. Writing down the dates in which he was there and making sure to get every bit he could. This was no simple task for the, well, plump dwarf. He sailed many seas. He rolled down many mountains and climbed very tasking hills. Today, Ogdan sends flyers out. Containing small portraits of his works.

I am selling maps of some settlements that I had traveled to on the year 1600. It took me a good long while. Some places proved much harder to get into rply so I do not have complete maps of: Haleun'or and San'Torr. Some may be missing, I do apologize. I was busy and had many lands to cross. But alas, maps are posted below. Prices vary, PM me to discuss or leave a reply with a bid.

These are all made in the year 1600 and are dated as such! Enjoy!
