  1. Tbh his attitude towards this has shocked me. He's shown a lot of insight into how things work and has held a mature stance upon all this. When he messaged me about it, honestly, I kind of thought of dismissing it with a statement like "trolls r bad," or something playful like that. I didn't exactly take it seriously. But I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and make a legitimate statement in regards to this.

Raelplayer is a cool guy and I don't want him changed by this job.

However, he has assured me that will not be the case. We talked for a while and he went into detail about what he wants to fix by becoming a GM and his level of understanding surprised me. It wasn't that he realized these things that surprised me, it's the fact he sees how he can put in the effort to fix these things.

Mad respect for this guy right now.

  2. Bout dang time, that wiki needed a facelift. I see one LM doing a swell job and we haven't even had a full day pass. Impressive!

uh, wut. nah, uh, the wiki team has been at this for like over a month, lol. this has nothing to do with the lore team.

    edit:

Is there any section for those who wish to help the wiki? Writing topics on well known (or lesser known) characters, nations, events, towns, etc that are void of information? I would love to see something where we could submit a wiki topic to you for review, and then implementation. I love to check up on it, but it's often fallen short. Glad to see there's been and update!

No, I don't believe there is, but this is a very interesting suggestion. I dropped it into the wiki team chat to be talked about.

  3. ((Song shown to me by JuicyRhino.))

The letter would read as the following:

Dear most valued friend of the Tea Party, you are called upon to attend our next gathering. It is my pleasure to announce that our founder will be joining us on the night. Be sure to dress in formal wear and bring with you only yourself, we want you because of who you are, not what you pretend to be. Make yourself available in four elven days from this point [[sunday 11pm GMT, 6pm EST]], and I will summon you to the location of the next gathering. Live freely, and live happily.

                                                                                      -Knox

The following would receive the letter:

    -Lucas Black

    attempt_passing_mountain_blizzard_by_and

A long trek was upon a pair of travelers in lands far away. Where they were going, why, it was all a question that would be answered in time. As they furthered their march against the blizzard, a powerful wind would push both of them with enough strength to knock them down. The one in gray, leading the pair would quickly look back, calling out "Cer-...!", the rest of the name cut off in the wind. Forcing himself to his feet, he scrambled over to the taller being and reached out a hand to him.

"We've got to keep going. Come on. The blizzard clears soon and those beasts are still upon us." With a nod, the taller man rose with the assistance of his companion. And as they carried on, the winds all stopped abruptly as they looked upon their goal.

A ruins. One with which they could pass through the mountain, or moreso, under it. But as they began their hurried advance, suddenly something appeared in a puff of smoke, bearing a letter. Though, quickly shivering.

He would look at the pair with a bit of question for a moment due to their garb before spotting the most defining quality of the one he seeks; one crimson eye, the other black. As he offered the letter, the Half-Elf reached out to take it, saying with a command, "Remain until told otherwise." Opening the letter and reading it, he would give a quiet sigh, muttering "Knox." After a moment, he would begin walking as he put away the letter.

Speaking as he strode off with his companion, he would tell the goblin, "Scribe into a letter for the Pumpkin Lord this message: I apologize that I could not make it. I am on a rather great journey that is rather required. By no means would I even be able to make it in time. Give my regards to the other members and know that someday, I will indeed be in attendance. Signed, Lucas Black."

And with that, not another word would be spoken to the creature, left to assume when it must leave. Of course, with the distant growls getting closer to the pair of travelers, the goblin would likely take that as a cue to go.

  4. So, I was about to support this when Kraal linked it in a chat I'm in...but I'll keep going despite that.

Ive been working with Kraal for a bit on my latest event line regarding the Dark Shamans and Ixli. His OOC attitude has not only been exceptional, making comments in regards to how we can make things more enjoyable for the players, but he's been a simple pleasure to work with. He's extremely respectful, even if ridiculous, and he has good ideas constantly. His RP for all my events have been quite enjoyable and Ive had fun just working with him and believe the ET would benefit from his addition.

  5. I thought the entire point was that they acted chaotic because of the magic, how could they fight something like that off? I thought it was supposed to be a setback to the magic so that way they aren't over-powered. Like, "hey you get this cool magic but at the same time have to be really chaotic and disorderly".

Most Shades barely even use the magic these days due to the fact they have to focus on fighting it. A large chunk of The Shades in-fact got rid of the magic because they couldn't handle it any longer ICly.

  6.

Yeah, I know. I only put it up just to see if people actually wanted it to be a thing, if I should continue writing. As of now its 50/50 I believe.

Just a note for you, you should rather quickly give up on the anti-Shades concept. The Shades have historically fought their chaotic tendencies and in-fact opposed all major threats to the world, doing more damage to The Scourge than certain holy groups could even manage. No Aengul or Daemon cares to try and destroy them when they don't act as evil/chaos incarnate and fight that nature.

Not even sure why Booklight went off, though, that's really not important.

  7.

Aren't Itharel monster hunter's basically with no emotion, and Xan as a melee magic...? Arcane Evo is a tad different, a watered down version as far as I am aware.

Itharel can make holy tendrils, from what Ive seen. Xan can use mists to form things, like Shade. Arcane Evo is the closest you can get. And Ascended are literally the anti-Shade.

    Lets not, man.

  8. Smurgla, the woman was known as. Though, most did not consider her such. However, what they had begun to consider her was dangerous; a threat to the people. She was taking them against their will and dragging them away to her house in the swamp of Embermoor. Though, in some cases...literally flying away with them upon her broom.

Really, one couldn’t say she seemed evil, but looks were deceiving. And in a house like that, how could someone deny. However, when a child is stolen, there is much issue taken by any race. Smurgla had indeed done so, a High-Elven child, and one many had witnessed be taken. With such a reputation growing so quickly, their response would be done with post haste.

But one could not think they would be able to really move quickly enough. She may have been disturbing in appearance, her speech flawed, but that did not mean she was slow to work. Truly, her lust for understanding was in-fact the most dangerous thing about her. She wanted to understand all things.

And that included grim deeds that were left entirely up to her imagination.

With only so much time left, what could they do before Smurgla did something irreversible. Time could only tell what this old Elf had learned in her life. And with the use of odd magics and alchemy of a different kind, the results would be entirely unpredictable.

((Did this post for an intro to Tantaparo's events with Smurgla. Hope you enjoyed it and even more, I hope you enjoy Tantaparo's events.))

  9. “Zhol…”

The whispers returned, and just where Zhol’Lur had waited for them. Filling the room almost, they were emitting from the fire he stood before. And just as he approached, another entered, all falling quiet. Eath’Lur entered, greeting his brother, Zhol’Lur. Questioning what he was doing, though out of simple curiosity, Zhol would tell him he was about to embark on a Spirit Journey. A normal thing for a Shaman, almost routine.

He asked to come along, but Zhol told him it was something he had to do alone. Eath said his goodbyes as well as one other thing.

    84f1014b91971862532d31081ee23454.png

    How well-placed, such a warning.

With Eath’Lur’s leave, the whispers would return. Zhol quickly took his place before the fire, entering his meditative state as the Spirit he had communed with before reached out to him. Rolling, black smoke would exit the fire, almost like a fog as it creeped across the ground. Taking him away, Zhol would once more find himself in the endless, empty plane of shadow that he had entered before.

“Zhol,” the powerful voice calls out. Calm and commanding, almost like a father. In possibly excitement or misunderstanding, Zhol would call out “Zugruck--!” before cutting off, seeming too weak to continue for a moment. After a moment, he would calmly speak again, “Zugrucka?”

And there, in the endless shadow, would be the Orc he had longed to save. Standing, far off from him, would be Zogrocka. The voice would continue to speak to him, saying “Lat hab zworn to trade placez with latz brudduh...lat hold loyalty and brudduhood above all elze. Mi hab peeped generation afta generation ub Uruk agh lat am honorable az kan be.”

Zhol would answer quickly, but with a stutter, saying “Y-- yub.” As he stares upon his closest friend as a child, he would stumble a bit, almost unable to believe it. “Lat am heyr, he would whisper, a hint of joy in him. However, in that moment, the distant space between them would close.

Zogrocka’s darkened form would be revealed; black eyes, purple nails, darkened skin, and black gums.

And with that, a condescending chuckle would sound out from the voice ruling the realm as it says “Agh dis quality am ash mi hab uzed to trick Uruk after Uruk for generationz…”

In surprise, Zhol’Lur would slowly tilt his head, unsure of how to respond beyond saying “Wub?” As the realm of endless shadow stirred a bit with the fog-like darkness that engulfed it, the booming voice would speak out once again, saying “Lat azked mi ub mi nayme…” In the distance, a massive eye would open, out of black in the shadows. Then, upon the ground he stands, another eye would open. All around him in this realm of shadow, eyes would open as a voice would whisper to him in a hiss, saying “Ixli.”

Zhol’Lur would fall back, his hands supporting him as he scurries back from the eye and Zogrocka. “Lat am naive. Foolish. Lat thought dey had lied about Zogrocka? Nub...he gave me hiz zanity.” The darkness set a heavy feeling upon Zhol’s shoulders as he said “Zug…” before not speaking any further. He had nothing more to offer but a sad expression towards Zogrocka and Ixli.

Slowly, the pair of Orcs would begin to slide towards each other in an unnatural fashion as the whispering voice would say to Zhol, “Lat hab agreed tu zwap placez wid him...agh now, latz deal iz being completed.”

Zhol would try to struggle, but as he meets with Zogrocka, he would pass through him, met with a sickening and disorientating feeling as any connection he once had to his body and the world he was born in was struck away from him. And in his place, the soul of Zogrocka would pass into his body.

In the moments that Zogrocka would be passing from the Spirit Realm to life once more, Ixli would say to him, “Awaken...Zogrcoka. In da world ub da mortals ash more.”

And as he rose from the cave within the roots of the tree, he would look to a nearby pond of water seeing his reflection. With a glare and a growl, he would quickly turn around and return to the fire. His form was not like it was in his life before and had to be made as close as possible.

  10. I'll be throwing my hat in the ring. Ive actually worked on quite a few things around the server that don't really have my name on them. I'll soon be sending in a few googledocs with lore on ideas Ive been writing, but Ive been very occupied with real life for a bit, so those were delayed.

  11. The Undead are not centered on killing all of the mortals. The only mortals we 'kill' are the ones that hinder our progress on our real goals.

Not at all Undead goal, but it doesn't matter now anyways.

Sadly, I feel like you both are kind of lying to me. Considering the screenshots Ive sent you, Zarsies, the posts about Brodz1, the things you, Throdo, and Ryno did, it just seems like absolute bullcrap. All the Destruction Sect has ever tried to do is go around killing players and we have evidence of that.

  12. -snip-

Not at all. It's an element for storytelling and backstory. As well, "nearly impossible amounts of mana compared to his normal amount," meaning much more than he could normally make. It's a storytelling element.

You seem to be misunderstanding this as a new mechanic or ability of some sort, this is just an option for what happens when you over-use your mana. Nothing in it says you use life-force, in-fact, whatever it uses is extremely undefined and for a reason.

If this involved any of what you think it does, this would be in lore, not roleplay ideas. If you read the last part of the post, it's literally a method to have a weaker character with a bit of backstory.
