  1.

    "So...alone again, am I?"

He often found himself wandering the nights and feeling that encroaching darkness again, he would not find feeling for much but moving without a goal along any road he came across. However, as he walked by Kaer Angren, there was something different. He felt an odd chill behind himself. Slowly turning around, he would stare blankly at the High-Prophet of Iblees.

With a blank stare, he would say "Well...I thought I would have a little more time."

The being he had been expecting ever since he freed Ceruberr.

Under the cold gaze of the Prophet, all he would say to Lucas was "A pity." With that, Lucas would make one request, to send a letter. And with this letter, he would send his crow away the same. Two goodbyes. His companion crow and one person. Once sent, he would take in a deep breath and inform the Prophet he was ready.

It was time to be whole again. The being known so well as Lucas Black since Asulon was long a different person. Almost quite literally. Near the end of it all, he lost a half of his soul to Iblees, and now, it was being returned to him.

The last words that would be spoken by him as the shadows wrapped around would be...

"I have wondered...for a long time...what it would feel like to be whole again...my curiosity will be sated...I suppose."

  2. As the day dimmed and darkness drew close, King Maric Varodyr would be but reading in his throne room. To his surprise, a figure in black armor, surrounding in swirling black mist would make entrance to his peace with the cracking of twin doors.

The black armored figure would lower its gaze upon the Storm Lord from within its hood, saying "Ever calm...as when we first began this rebellion...Maric...Varodyr..."

His words would carry a feeling of growing horror as the conversation carried on. As the Herald told Maric, "My name is...no longer that...as my will is gone, so that choice...I am Fear." Truly his purpose would be fulfilled as he told Maric of his fate and of this same fate to befall him. And as he told him, they would both be slaves, Maric refused to accept this fate.

"I would've died before I allowed myself to be puppeted like this, Castor. You are nothing but a coward."

To this, he would receive a blank stare for a moment before the response.

"There is truth to that statement, but now it is you were informed why I come. A warning, a premonition, a prediction...take it as you please, but put simply...Fear yourself, Maric...you will be the one who makes the final move to fell your own nation. You will hunt down every member of it and snuff out the light in their eyes."

"You...will be the one...to bring Ruin...and it will be your own fault that it all happened...it will be your fault...that you became a slave."

His exit would be taken no too long after this, leaving unscathed with a few simple words.

    "Will you...cut down a slave...my king?"

With the arrival of Edmund Horen, the king and his most faithful follower would be left to question this eerie message alone. What they made of it and what they did, there was only one thing for certain: They would do it in fear.

  3. Hehe, I don't know if 'offensive' is a real fighting style. :P

Well, while it certainly isn't a style of fighting, it describes their approach to fighting. So it works. 'Specially since most fighting styles have varying stances for defensive, mixed, and offensive combat.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...lets slow down here. I don't live with my mother. I, in-fact, live in an apartment with my two roommates that I hate.

Susitsu consistently is able to stay away from metagaming while providing excellent RP for others.

Hey, thanks man. It's rare to get support from the villains I...villain.

    Thanks all for the support.

  5. Obviously biased to the renatian band of dragon age, using them to support himself!

-1, terrible OOC attitude at times, agree with kaleheart.

    i-wat

This dudes been doing fun role play events since Aegis, long before the concept of a E Team. He's been one of the most influential villains of the server, as well at times one of the most influential heroes. He is a great leader, creator, writer, and in general a brilliant thinker. Giving this man E Team power will only result in great events, without a doubt. +1

    Thanks man.

  6. I cannot express my support for this or the Blood Mages, in general. Not that it isn't well written or balanced. But there's already limited crowd for an already dwindling Dark Arts, I'll admit I'm biased being a necromancer myself, to say I believe it's uneeded and a little redundant to have what four maybe five different groups fighting over player population. -1

I'll be honest...I think the issue isn't really multiple groups, it's that being evil when The Undead are around feels stupid. I know so many of the villains you know and love that have simply fallen away from it since The Undead came back around. Who would try and make a slaughter when we have skeletor running around? I know myself that I'm basically waiting for them to be gone to play characters like that again.

    • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?

As well, I'm currently apart of the wiki team that's working on reforming and updating the wiki page of LotC.

Forgot to include this, added to main post.

  8. You're always straight with me, so I'll do the same. Full honesty, friendo. You've got the skill needed to be an actor, but I don't know if you have the right attitude. I won't go as far as Piercing has above me, but I do think that before you are considered for a staff position you should make a strong effort towards showing people more respect. Beyond that, I'd like to see you shift your focus from yourself to those around you; since being an actor is about the people you're entertaining, not yourself.

tl;dr I think you're capable, but before I offer my support I want to see a genuine, long-lasting change in your attitude.

    That said, good luck!

    +/- 0

If you've been aiding them, then that piece of my main issue of this app  is null. Again, you're a fellow I do like, but at times you've a temper and you condescend people in the LOOC, almost as if trying to provoke them. That is all, however, I do wish you good luck with your application.

Via popular request (a pm on Skype) I'm responding to this point here.

I figured it just wouldn't exactly present the case of an attitude change to focus on that issue, but I suppose it makes sense to say this...

When it comes to a duty or a job, which that is what I consider such, I do take it in a rather serious manner. And for me, being 'serious' about something involves being calm, collected, and polite about everything. I do admit, my 'street persona,' or just in general who I am when not caring, I am indeed an absolute ******* and entirely needlessly.

However, when it comes down to such reflecting my work, I don't act like that at all. It's a fine line of separation that I have learned to make. Business and personal life should always remain separate, and if my business is in entertainment, then I'll be entertaining.

And thank you both for the well-wishes.

  9. I like you, but you've yourself a condescending attitude. You're quick to assumption, and you've never done a player run event from what I know. -1

I consider that reason to be a rather...well, I'm not even sure I can think of the proper word without it being insulting...but as Burk said, that is actually quite wrong. Ive been helping ET with events since I came back. Just because you don't see me doesn't me I'm not involved in the behind-the-scenes.

PST, but until I get a regular schedule from a job and such, I'm basically...all timezones because of my insomnia as of right now. Lets just say everyone from the UK, US, to Aussie players see me right now.

    • Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report:

Ive been banned once. No report. All allegations and events surrounding it have remained vague and were from two years ago. I could have easily cleared everything up anytime, but I simply decided that I didn't want to come back to LotC after all I put into it just to get mistreated by certain staff members.

I have since returned and decided that I do want to help the server again finally rather than just being another player with an opinion. That meaning, an opinion doesn't change the server. Fun, enjoyable RP does.

    • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?

One of the three who originally created the whole VAT concept. I then waited until my Advanced Villain Application was accepted to actually join the team even though I helped create it just because I wanted to make sure I felt good enough for it.

As well, I'm currently apart of the wiki team that's working on reforming and updating the wiki page of LotC.

    • What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

League of Legends, Devil May Cry, Half-Life, Minecraft, Guild Wars 2, Halo, Prototype, Terraria, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Master of Magic, Democracy 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Jak and Daxter games, .Hack games, Psychonauts, Gary's Mod, Risk of Rain, Bastion, Alien versus Predator games, Portal, Fallout games, Left 4 Dead, The Elder Scrolls, Dungeon Defenders, Goat Simulator, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and the list goes ON and ON if I could see my console games right now. I have a very large collection.

    • What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

Lucas Black, Castor The Red Mage, and Valaskar. I find the wording 'sacrifice' odd, personally. I intend to use Lucas Black as a tool for advancing events/making sure the party doesn't get wiped out, but generally, he's not going to be directly involved. More like one to witness it all. I in-fact plan to begin writing event posts for what occurred during events and make in-game books written by him so that managing to do well becomes more important.

I would say 'no' about my current characters if it means killing them or simply not playing them.

A concern I'm sure would be raised in regards to Lucas Black is how much time has been spent on him, but before my recent break (nine days) Ive been actively playing all of my characters, not hanging on any specifically. Lucas is my default character, but I'm certainly able to swap quickly. I’m actually well-recognized for the fact that I can literally play two characters at the same time and not mix them up.

Ive been given kudos on my ability to so easily change characters and roleplay them entirely different from the others many times. I have several events planned with Castor for Renatus and I’m going to be working with an Undead for that.

    • What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

Honestly? The Halflings. I really want to do stuff for them because they're just a funny crowd of guys and Ive always wanted to do stuff with them. I feel like they'd be tons of fun to give RP events to, whether they're silly or serious. But in all honesty, I'll likely be hitting all groups, Shades, Necromancers, Humans, Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Undead, guilds, anyone who wants who's online that I randomly pick out of the /people list. Hell, I like the idea of doing events for new or come-back players just to help them along.

    • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

Non-streamlined events. The ending should always be open-ended. Who knows what kind of items from other events or characters with specific abilities may come in to absolutely change what is happening. I’ve come to understand after a long talk with Firespirit44 that it is actually important to have recognizable characters for events so they become more meaningful and interesting to the players, so using my own characters or asking others to have their characters be the spotlight of an event does make sense to do. The TL;DR on that, make events fluid.

    • When was the last time you saw a event?

Just yesterday. There were a great series of events that were actually quite incredible.

    • What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

I spend a lot of time online simply sitting around or looking for people to RP with as well as I'm on during Aussie times. I'm able to easily work with many other ETs for small-scale or large-scale events due to both my easy comprehension of things, my knowledge of lore, and that I would very easily work with the majority of the ET because I'm actually good friends with them. Literally a large chunk of the ET I'm good friends with and I have personally expressed interest to Swgrclan to work with him on his ET events and he was absolutely welcoming to the idea.

So most of all, I'll be working with Swgrclan on events, but I am entirely open to working with anyone else or just doing my own thing. Probably with Halflings. I really want to do stuff for them.

    • Why do you want to be part of the ET?

Ive wanted to join for a long time, but Ive only decided that now I am finally ready to do things like this on the server again. Of course, just this justification isn't good enough. I enjoy doing big RPs and getting thanked.

That's hard to do when you don't want to simply have your character die and you only have the capabilities of a normal player. I'd love to do interesting event lines that let people slowly figure it out and even plan times with a specific crowd to continue some event line or even just do it randomly. The ability to just make any character at anytime with absolutely no worry for them dying is wonderful to me.

    • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

Side-note: I do not believe what should define my app is how detailed I write down my events. I believe heavily in dynamic RP and do generally only plan as far ahead as "this will probably happen" rather than simply what is definitely going to happen.

    1) For 1-3 person

An odd feeling of exhaustion would beign to cross an individual where they sit at the Viridian Tavern. Upon their questioning of this feeling, it would fade immediately. After a moment, they would realize a human with gray skin is sitting across from them, staring at them with colorless eyes. Its hand would slowly raise from under the table, passing through it as the spectral being reaches towards this individual, seeming to be trying to grasp at their neck.

If not interupted: The spirit would reach for their neck and place them there, saying "I need rest." Once questioned, it would say "The forest. Behind the Viridian." With its hands still upon the person's neck, a sudden pressure would become present, strong enough to leave bruising, before vanishing.

If someone with gold deals with it: The ghost would dissipate on the spot, a book falling. In this book, it would detail the victim's final moments, including their assailant arriving in their house. It would depect that they were hiding from this individual and that they were masked up until their being attacked. A whisper on the wind would seem to direct them towards the forested area behind the Viridian where they would find a masked man digging a hole with the corpse of the victim, obviously having been choked to death.

After both: The people present would notice that this individual does not appear strong except in the arms. As well, they are armed only with a shovel. From here, the decision is up to the players, but if they put in the effort, they would find out the story being: This was a revenge killing. The man who is dead stole the live man's wife with lies. He destroyed his business and ruined his reputation. How this affects the characters is then entirely up to the players.

    • 2) For a group of 5-10

For Shamans and a single Undead: In the past, there have been Undead that have previously been Shamans. With Dark Shamanism and the Taint of Iblees, it would be no surprise to find tomes deep within the Nether that detail a way to in-fact Taint The Spirits. However, do the vagueness of the technique, it would require that Undead to stealthily enter The Warnation and corrupt shrines to an Immortal Spirit.

In this process, they infect lesser Spirits under that Immortal Spirit and cause them to begin going berserk and attempt to corrupt other Spirits. This would be seen quite early by said Immortal Spirit who would immediately contact a Farseer first and any other Shamans they could second. As the corruption would spread in the Spirit Realm, it would too spread in the material realm. Anyone attempting to simply cleanse the material Taint would find it to quickly be a waste.

The Immortal Spirit that had their domain Tainted would quickly direct any they could to collect an object that would enter the Spirit Realm with them that allowed them to cleanse a Lesser Spirit that had been Tainted; a dagger imbued with their power that they had placed into the world.

What would need to be done is a Spirit Walk to challenge and combat these Lesser Spirits and subdue them. With that, they would need to be impaled with the dagger. However, the Undead that had done this would quickly become aware of their work being undone as well. Soon they would arrive upon the group of Shamans and the moment they do, the Immortal Spirit would detect them and kick all Shamans but one out; the one with the weapon needed.

It is from here that these Shamans would have to combat The Undead while the Shaman still in there has to fight the most powerful of all the corrupted Spirits on his own.

If victorious, the Undead would be driven back and those Spirits cleansed. As thanks, they would each receive a temporary blessing from the Immortal Spirit whereas the wielder of the dagger would obtain a greater weapon of their choice to wield in the Spirit’s name.

If failing, this event would progress into a far more grave series of incidents that would involve more and more Immortal Spirits.

    • 3) For a group of 20+

For a settlement seeking a culture expansion ( https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/87459-lore-man-frog-completed/ Would speak to the LM team about this first.): In Karovia and the dark settlement within the Embermoor swamp, those inhabiting the place would begin to notice odd shapes and small, humanoid beings creeping about at times, mostly at night if traveling through the swamp. This would go on for months before people would notice their stored food having been vanishing in notable amounts when they are not present, maybe when they’ve just gone out for some fresh air from their home.

To those within Embermoor, they would find at times small, humanoid creatures rushing into the shadows all of a sudden. This would happen with growing incidents and more kinds and variations, even to noticing odd things in the swamp. Quick movements, bubbles in the water too murky to look into, and small huts or even wooden bear traps. In due time, both settlements would in-fact have a full on sighting of one of these creatures; the Man-Frog.

It is upon this event that an odd man who appears to have been living entirely within the swamp would approach both settlements the next day. He would explain to them of what these creatures are and that they mean no harm. To all, he would make a public announcement of his work: Re-cultivating this unique species of Anthos that was almost entirely lost.

    • How long do you plan to stay in the ET?

Likely for a year on from now. From there, I don't know if my drive will remain. We will have to see. Regardless, I have a habit of staying devoted to things as long as I agree to do so for a certain amount of time, but if appropriate, I will take my leave or temporarily step down.

    • Tell me a joke

    Every LotC GM's social life?

A little something for everyone's info:

The Heralds of War and events regarding them have mostly been my planning and plotting. Even the concept and lore for the Heralds has all been my work as well as the writing of the event to take Angren. I was actually supposed to be the one to run it, but...I sort of fell asleep so Freema had to take up the reigns. However, this was my event line and it was my writing that was followed. Everything but the Angren event itself, which was still done exactly as I had written it (For the opening events and such, nothing was actually scripted aside from Maric's corruption. It was more like an IC plan of action than a script that The Prophet had essentially told everyone.)

So, yeah. As the Herald of Fear, as the writer of the lore of it, the concept of it, events regarding it, and especially the writer of the Angren event, I hope this work reflects my application for everyone. Ive been hard at work with Mthdominator to improve the image of The Undead and give everyone fun RP involving them.

  10. ((I enjoy the thought of rping that for a while. People who want to stay, can stay. People who want out can just change characters or SS. Want to put a character on the shelf for a while? Put them in that prison. If such a thing had already existed, I know that a great many of my friends would have used it as a good way to put their character on the shelf. If it came to exist, I could easily collaberate jail-break based events with it.))

  11. maleficar (plural maleficarum), "one who is depraved" in Ancient Tevene,[1] is a mage who uses the forbidden arts including, but not solely restricted to,blood magic. Known maleficarum are slain on sight by templars.
