  1.          Polgrath sat, the candles before him growing dim as the night carried on. The Druids had visited, in an attempt to dissuade him from his marching. He thought of their talk of the old ways, and tradition... and perhaps a single flicker of doubt did dance across the surface of his mind.
    This was quickly snuffed by a wave of resolve. Memories of the attempted slaying of himself and his men by the Sentinels played back again images of democratic rule, and the many failings of the princedom throughout the years sprung to mind. Polgrath takes his stamp and seals the small notice he has penned with undue force sending copies of it out via messenger to the various large settlements of Anthos.

    The notice is printed in unadorned black ink.

    ~~~Our terms have failed to be met.
    We march in the coming days with our allies to bring liberation to Malinor and replace the council with the voices of all Mali and cast out the murderous Sentinel leaders and reform the military to a force of power once more. Those who now rule shall not negotiate their way out with silvertounged prose. They shall step down and allow the people the freedom to choose or they shall be forced to step down.
    Long live the coming Republic of Malinor.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ((Some time Saturday! Will update with exact time ASAP ))
  2. Polgrath walks down to the smithy, the hot air and floating coal dust making him squint and cough as he enters. The hammers of the smiths beat away at weapons, armors, and other stranger devices, the down-stroke of their swings resounding in a discordant drum beat. Tapping a Magesmith on the shoulder the older man turns from his billows to face Polgrath. "Ayuh Mindlord?" Polgrath tosses a worn, rusty elven scimitar on the rough wood table. "I need this blade honed and refurnished." The swordsmith nods in mild disbelief. "But ye hath magic and persuasive words for ye! What need do ya have for an old blade like this?"
    Nodding, Polgrath responds, gazing off in memory.
    "Long ago in old Asulon, I was once a guardian of Normandor, capital to the Elves. I wore armor and wielded this sword, though not with great skill. While that life is long behind me and I am sure my skill with this blade has been much decreased, when dealing with ruffians  I did learn one valuable lesson,
    Words seem to have more sway... when backed up with steel."
  3. Returning to Ac'talarah after a hard day's travel Polgrath finds three delivered letters placed upon his desk by a Mageshield for him to inspect. Taking a seat he reads over each before penning a response. His hand is steady as he writes. It is only when the two birds can be seen taking flight back North over the sea that he allows a ghost of a smile to dance across his ashen visage.
    Dear Medic Rarethorn,
    Your support is much appreciated. We shall expect ye on the battlefield. The enclosed bandages have done us much good and staunched bleeding that may have slain one of my men. Thankeesai
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    To Yenatian,
    Ye seem more honorable then many of your Sentinel compatriots and I hath no personal quarrel with ye. I shall meet with you, and you alone at a location and time of my choosing. A bird with more information shall be sent shortly.

    To llir Isirack,
    The problem is not just one of goverenence, but one of vile acts of war. While I may have come to you at one point that was before we were beset upon by the Sentinals with murder in their eyes. Lyweneth acted under the command of Bennedict, removed or not and they are both bloodthirsty fiends. Peace was sought and met with steel. Now we are forced to respond in kind. The time for talk is past. Only  conceding to our terms will prevent this reckoning.

    ((There was more RP afterwards then just the server crashing flatulence :P))

    "Blade is hearby accepted as Mageshadow Recruit under High Mageshadow Smoke. Gwindor, Lathros and Hera are accepted as Mageshield Recruits. Welcome aboard all of ye. Do the Delvers proud and bring glory to your names.
    Mr Arkshan, we do not accept applications for apprenticeship by paper and are not currently teaching more. Ye are denied."

                  Polgrath stands at the balcony of the collapsed Arcane
    Delver tower gazing northwards across the inland sea.  Far, beyond the horizon lies Malinor, forest land, and former peaceful and tranquil nation. As he stands at the balcony Polgrath feels an emotion generally foreign to him. Rage. Taking out a quill Polgrath sits down and begins to write. A good while later he hands the parchment to his scribe for copying and then sends out several Mageshield Recruits to distribute the notice to major cities throughout Anthos. Walking back to the balcony Polgrath stares out, to the north with a single word on his mind.

    Soon.

    ~Pamphlet

    “To the readers of this notice whoever ye may be. I shall get the point across
    post-haste. The Sentinels of Malinor, who answer to the High Council, assaulted
    and attempted to slay my men and I while we peacefully looking into Malinor real estate
    with no provocation. Outnumbered we fought our way out and escaped
    from their compound. But they
    will not escape us likewise.  The Sentinels have
    engaged in an act of war against The Arcane Delvers and so we declare it on them
    and the High Council they answer to. Too long have diplomatic means been attempted
    and failed. Blood shall be met with blood. To be clear we do not assault the
    people of Malinor but the murderous military leadership and the corrupt “High
    Council” they answer to. Any Sentinel is welcome to defect to our side as many
    have already upon seeing the insanity of their officers.
                     As
    Oren and Uragan has already declared war upon Malinor's ruling Council and support reform and overthrow of the High Council they are welcome to join in with our
    efforts. The High Elves would be appreciated if they aided us as one of their
    own Kalenz Uradir, was nearly slain at the hand of the maniacal commander
    Benedict. As speaker for the Malinor Reform Movement I strongly suggest
    any who hath been trod on and suffered at the hands of the current
    leadership and Sentinels take
    up arms with us to institute a reform of the corrupt system.  In regards to Darkhaven I have not declared war in my capacity as High Chancellor and will permit the Darkhaven Council to vote to decide if they wish to join us in this endeavor.

    Our Terms are as Follows:

    Item the First: The ENTIRE High Council
    will step down immediately transfer leadership to us and be replaced by a democratic government.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Item the Second: The current Sentinel military leadership
    will be restructured to our satisfaction. Any current leaders who refuse to
    join our cause are to be exiled or if they act in violence, slain.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Item the Third: The defeated wench Lywanneth “Bluerobes”’s and the mad Commander Benedict's heads shall be removed for their crimes and presented on a pair of pikes.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Our  terms are entirely non-negotiable. If they are not met within two elven days
    from  now, we march within the elven week to have our terms met through force. This will be no mere raid, this will be a forceful takeover.
    A hand was extended bearing an olive branch, but it was met with an axe.
    Now the time for talk has passed. They shall
     be met or we march with spell and steel against any tyrants who still oppose us.
    * a sentence has appeared on each of the bottoms in ghostly blue transparent text
    A single elven day is left to accept the demands.
    ((The attempted Malinor takeover is planned for next Saturday, will decide on more exact time shortly, anyone who would RPly be involved in the battle is welcome to show up! :)
  7. Polgrath strides towards Valen, a perplexed look upon his face.
    "Ye stated that military action would be taken against the High Council within five elven days, but still they reign. Tis this merely a delay or Yemekar forbid, the High Council has swayed even the honorable bortu with their silver gilded words?"
  8. Polgrath hears Mareck's speaking and turns towards him in response.
    "It would take an illusionist far more powerful then I to convince the people of Malinor of your ludicrous claims. You slander my character so! I hath been a lawabiding citizen of Malinor since before ye were likely born, youngling.  Look upon Elindor's scroll there, there lies the handwriting of Azel himself supporting me. Elindor tis a wise mage himself and could surely tell if I had falsified such evidence through sorcery. If tis not enough ye will see the patron of Darkhaven, Khel, your leader and my comrade also supports I. If ye and all ye voters for the crazed gourd headed killer known as Knox do not support my candidacy then vote for someone ye believe would truely lead the nation well, perhaps a respected member of the community who has familiarity with situation? I see several votes for other candidates other then myself that are not crazed slayers. Perhaps ye would be better served by voting for them.
    By all means doth not vote for me if ye doth not see fit... but vote for someone ye believe is fit for Malinor."
  9. Polgrath responds to Tyras conversationally.
    Ayuh, while I may disagree with the council I do not believe any of them to be truly evil or craven. I respect your opinion on the matter, llir Tyras. However as ye are confident in them... I know many others like myself are not. Tis why I say we put it to a vote of the peoples and allow them to decide if they wish to keep the council. Alas the Bortu and Oren shall demand the council step down at the threat of violence, so I believe they should do so for the good of Malinor and run for office once more if they so desire. Tis the most fair and safe plan for Malinor as a whole.
  10. *An armored man approaches Polgrath trying to get his attention*
    "I can't believe me eyes...I can't believe you a reformist of all people."
    *He removes his helmet revealing a familiar human face, Tyras*
    "You were a friend to me, and Malinor. But please tell you don't spread these false facts and poisoned lies..."
    Polgrath recognizes the man in surprise.
    "It has been long indeed friend Tyras! I am still a friend to Malinor. I hath no personal vendetta against the council, nor have I slandered them. I speak only for democracy  not posioned lies. I speak against the violent rebellion against them that some rebelling groups seek to carry out against the council. I speak no twisted words nor facts of falsehood... I only wish that the people speak for who they desire to lead them. If it is to be the High Council then very well... but they should have to earn the votes of the mali they rule not simply hold power without answering to the masses. Oren has decreed it shall declare war unless the Council steps down and the Bortu also support a reform. If they do not do this and allow the people the vote, then not only will Oren and the Dwarves turn against Malinor in war, but the people will know that their rulers value only power, not their constituents.
    I say let the people decide, friend Tyras. I spout no lies, only a yearning for a government given legitimacy through the consent of the governed that will not cause war. There must be an election, tis the only way to save Malinor both from war outside and war within."
  11. Polgrath nods agreeably to Elindor before turning to Vanir.
    "The will of the people is the way forward tis true, however six members tis too many for effectiveness likely. The people should vote for a single leader, who then appoints a  thus the will of the majority is represented and decisions can quickly be made. Tis just a small personal suggestion though.  As Azel appointed me his successor to the Reform Movement I stand by his goals but I do not feel people need vote for me... but vote they should for a candidate of their choice, thus exercising the Elven tradition of a government accountable to it's people. For this has been the official though much ignored law of Malinor for many years. The Council should not be overthrown through violence but through the consent of the governed!"
    Polgrath points to Elindor's nominee parchment. "Excercise your free thought mali!"
  12. Polgrath looks over the now heaping pile of forgotten apps and grimaces at the work before him.
    "Danial Frostbite, Killzar, the one who goes by "The Burning Cross", Laenry Marrows, and Xaviar Slade... welcome to the Arcane Delvers. As Mageshields ye will be the first line of Delver defense. May your swords strike true and your honor be well placed. Xaviar, ye are inducted into the Mageshadows. I wish all of ye good tidings within our humble guild.
  13. Polgrath turns to Artimec shaking his head.
    Nay ye are misinformed, much of the corrupt High Council yet remains llir with only Kolyut and Isirack departing. The Bortu bravely aid in the liberation and their axes will be very useful in throwing down the decadent and corrupt High Council. If they think their tyranny can withstand the combined forces of Dwarf, and uprising Mali, the Council tis High indeed... on cactus green.
  14. Beside Azel, in a previously unoccupied space, a figure slowly solidifies into view, becoming visible. Polgrath bears a look of calm.
    Your High Council is what Oren and the dwarves desire... treason would to not turn each of you into them to save Malinor. Do your duty and give ye'self up to the bortu for trial so you can say ye did at least one honorable thing in your life.
