Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Currently going back to college to study music production.I've been playing Lord of the Rings Online for a year (WOW and Eve also) and got into Minecraft at 1.5 beta. Looking to combine my love of the Tolkien world with a sandbox experience.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 10 - 20 hours, maybe more.
How long have you played minecraft?:Since beta 1.5.
What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: Very familiar with the concept, have done some in LoTRO for a year. It's basically playing your character 'in character' - not being aware of the mechanics of the game itself - and only reacting in chat and actions the way your character could in the 'story'.
What do you expect this server will be like?: A sandbox with rewards and purpose. A home from home.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Battlecraft (I am still active there), but I am looking for a different experience to compliment the more PvP-driven Battlecraft
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes, just enjoyed a beer and took my time going through the info. I feel I have a good understanding of it (and it was a good read too).

Biography:
Mog is the adopted son of country dwellers who fought off a bandit raid near their farm. Mog's real father was killed in the raid, and his mother survived until only a few weeks later, succumbing to her wounds. His adopted mother and father raised the 8 year old to adulthood, noting how the boy was headstrong (insisting his name was Mog because that's all he could remember his real mother calling him) and very intelligent. He taught himself to read and write better than his adopted parents, and displayed an empathy and understanding with the natural world and animals that suggested he had more than normal talents, but would never talk about this. He was quiet but confident, sometimes speaking more to his pet wolves than to anyone else.
As he grew older, his parents hoped he would seek a life for himself that was beyond the farm, and one that was easier than their own. Mog unfortunately took this a little too much to heart, drinking in the city and smoking weeds he would cultivate at home.
A large fine from the city guards finally forced his parents to get tough and expel him from the farm on his 21st birthday; this money was to be given to him as a coming of age gift. So, with little money, and a head full of regret, Mog tearfully left home to make his way in the world, vowing to repair the damage he had done to his relationship with his parents and to change his ways....
Mog's new found earnestness proved a steep learning curve, and his inexperience fending for himself found him being tricked out of his money by a passing merchant. A group of monks found him sleeping in the streets of Oren, and they took him into their care to give him a fresh start in the world...
His parents, meanwhile, loved their only child dearly, and their loosely spread but tightly knit community and neighbours kept them informed of Mog's progress in the world, where they would smile at his deeds and know that he was safe, most of the time !

Character Appearance: Mog is young and fresh faced, and he wears light lapis-dyed cloth with some basic armor
Character Personality: Easy-going, but has inner resolve. Curious.
Your ambitions: Mog wants to make a man of himself in the world, but wants to do good morally
Can your character read or write?: Yes, but self taught and frequently mispronounces words he's only read and never heard
Can your character mine?: Yes, a bit. Had a job with a family friend in his teens in a mine.
Are you a capable builder? Yes, would often fix stuff and improve the family farm, finding ways to automate some of the work and lighten his parents workload
Can you wield a sword?: Not experienced at all in combat. Has learned to run fast.
Enjoy Farming?: Quite skilled, but has a love / hate relationship with it
Does your character have any special skills?: He is quiet and intelligent, but his parents suspect he might have some abilities in magic. He refuses to speak about this to anyone.
