If I may speak on behalf of the Realm, I hope you understand our hesitancy of allowing the "alleged secret" non true blood "adopted" son take control of a town. Too many links on that chain me thinks. To the realms leaders the whole situation is a bit messy when such freedom is gifted upon an unknown leader of that town. Of course we are going to place restrictions. To not would be foolish. In fact even presenting yourself as a sarient is a bit suspect since I don't believe you have ever been declared as such by the hochmister. An effort must be made to contact the leadership of hanseti to understand the direction you wish to take yer town. As it stands right now it is as likely that you are an "assassin sent by renatus" to take control of one of our towns as it is that you are the "secret adopted heir" to horus's title. ((We are currently at war with a nation that has twice tried to wipe us out completely. I am trying to afford the citizens a degree of protection. So your argument has shifted from the passports being the problem to "the maw". Steps I have currently taken: 1. Reduced the price of extending temp passports to 250. 2. Reduced the price of replacement passports to 100. The gate is a tricky one. I am in the end charged with the protection of those within the realm and must keep those under me safe at all costs. With the new soul stone system I don't think there should be a problem with the gate staying closed. If you are a citizen you should have one of your souls set to your home. With our position so far south a walk to the front gate is within 100 seconds of the soul stone getting a full recharge. If the gate was closed the most you would have to wait is less then 2 mins to soul stone to your home. I believe I have addressed and compromised a fair bit but I will take further constructive criticisms if they are reasonable. I know cataris you would prefer to have the system scratched so your thieves guild buddies can have free range of the realm but I guess your going to just have to work that much harder to fool us :) ))

((The problem is to issue a new passport is a lot of work. Its like writing out a 3-4 page book with unique information every time. If you are "silly" enough to constantly loose it you should face a penalty. I will have the price reduced on replacements but its like your walking around drunk all the time with your passport on your main bar, I cant think of any other reason you would constantly loose it.))

((Sorry about the double post above and the lack of brackets I was on my phone. The passports are only really checked when its someone the guards or the sarient's don't recognize or to confirm someone identity for an arrest. I don't know how you can constantly loose your passports. Can you now simply make a bookshelf and copy them? I'm sorry for the loss but this is an attempt to offer a different type of citizen rp system. If we are not for you I understand.))

((Pie do you have access to the database, you should be issuing any passports for buildings you sell to citizens and zaroth what guild are you in? In addition you should not be granting everyone access to the entire snowy mountains region. You should be getting each plot separately regioned.))

Let's frame the issue of the guards not being their correctly. The bulk of the guards are north american based. I'm sure we could make an effort to cover other time zones and expand their roster. They are their and manning often especially during server peak times.

In response to the issue of losing yer passport I hope ye are not that careless with all of yer possesions. In the worst case one of the higher up guards can reference the grand book ((database)). And in response to the spies getting in, aye it is true they have gained entry but about a dozen have been executed so far many even having forged passports. The system is not flawless but far above anything any other realm can put together ((and I dare say a fairly interesting point of rp that only we have)). The Monk in Black

A fake name only gets them so far. I full and accurate description is also taken down to identify people. Its not like we just ask for names and that is it. This is not just a system for entry into Hanseti. It allows for so much more. It allows us to accuratly track and crimes and potential criminals. It allows us to offer mortgages to our citizens instead of expecting them to shell out thousands of minas up front. ((It also keeps out derpy humans like the one that was running around with a pumpkin on his head out side the maw who wanted in and helps to prevent meta giving the guards something other then a mc name or easilly changed ic name to go by)) The system is complicated and costly I do admit. But it also keeps us safe ((and gives our guards something to do besides yell at those with there helmets on)). It is a worthwhile system and worth the trouble. The Monk in Black

I call out to the archaeologists and arcane researchers of the realm. In my travels I have seen many ruins that might have once been temples or religious sites. With the recent archeology work have we determined what sites belong to which god or demi god? And if travelers report more sites can we send a team out to investigate and see what knowledge can be learned? The Monk in Black

Come to the Realm of Hanseti! We have the maw keep if ye still have a strong arm on ye and wish to guard our boarders. The capital is booming and now accepting advanced highly skilled jobs. We have a new fledgling town centered on the gathering of resources. If ye wish involvement with a town just starting out this would be perfect! The Monk in Black

Since our settling of this land nearly 10 years ago many have passed away. It has been determined that a common graveyard was needed for all citizens once their time comes. On memorial hill near the ancient crypts of the kings past lies the Hanseti Common Graveyard. Overlooking the frozen south sea on a cliff I can think of no better place for the final great sleep. For those citizens wishing to be buried in the Hanseti Graveyard a plot can be had for 500 minas. For those not of the Realm a cost of 1000 minas will be charged. For service in the Realm's guard force, the wolverines a special crypt will be constructed to honor their service and the only cost will be body preparations for 250 minas. A grave digger is currently being interviewed to tend to the grounds. If ye think you have anything needed for the graveyard or would like special rites please let me know. The Monk in Black

The north passage has been closed. Our northern boarders are now more secure then ever. If any citizens know of any goat paths or any other hidden valleys in their travels please let me know. The Monk in Black

Your story has moved me and your desire to join us in the realm. See the guards at the maw. Let them know I grant ye passage to the realm. Seek me out in the capital, I wish to speak some more. Alternativly if ye wish to join our military force ask to join the wolverines or seek out a grand sarient. The wolverines are always looking for a strong arm and if a grand sarient desires he can take ye in as a squire of the order. *Viadar was walking through the city and noticed that many of the homes did not have a source of heat, either a fireplace or pit. With the coming weather he worried for the wellbeing of the citizens.* ((Please let me know if you have purchased a home without a fireplace or fire pit. One of the north passages is still open and needs to be closed within the month. I will supply the materials but require builders as the valley is wide. I would like to commission a trench from the maw to near the icebridge at the capital. As a large portion of the current road is raised it is probably the easiest to just simply tunnel under the road. After the trench is done I will lay redstone and repeaters so the maw can signal the capital when they require assistance. For those with the land granted ((perms)) please help with this public works project. The Monk in Black

*laughs* It is just not a simple entry fee. We meticulously track and catalog the comings and goings of travelers. Part of the reason is security. With such a grand book of names ((data base)) we can identify someone by name, description and know exactly if they have committed an offense and if they are a citizen there address so justice can be served. The cost I believe is fair for the skilled farmers I need to pay for the reeds they collect. The processing them to paper and creation of books. For the cost of labor for the agents to create the extensive passport document and keep the grand book ((data base)) up to date and finally the cost of law enforcement. This paired with the fact that we can not just have anyone act as an agent of the realm to issue the passports. Renatus might be in the buisness of hiring "budget" labor but Hanseti certainly isn't.
