All Things Must Passhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNYc-443G6E
The old Wizard would stand before a roiling hellish torrent of the Voidal Tear as bodies lay strewn before him. The smell of hellfire and magic filled the air as creatures of the Empyrean had struck his party a decisive and terrible blow. Visions of Aegis would cloud his mind as the smells and hellscape looked all too familiar to a time he had so long forgotten. Ithrendas Regis (Tahmas) and Steven (spodokaiba) already journeying into the heart of the storm in an attempt to close shut the jaws of the infernal opening that wrented a deep wound into the realm. But had not returned and Ceruberr (Captainsheepy) had been captured by a Voidal Horror, one of the neverborn monstrosities of the darkest reaches of the Voidal realms whom only referred to itself as the “Displacer”.
The party was weak, the creature seemed impenetrable to the magical spells cast against it, merely absorbing them and sending them flying straight back towards them. All the while the monster would feed upon the mystical energies of Ceruberr to not only fuel itself but to hijack the Elf’s advanced knowledge of the Arcane to turn upon his aggressors. Enveloping himself in an Arcane shield he would move mysteriously from place to place in a blink of an eye, phasing in and out of existence all the while taunting us as “lessers”.
The creature was toying with us, and we all knew it. But we continued to fight regardless to its protests. Until the moment when the old man allowed foolhardiness to get the better of him…
The Wizard would watch as the creature stood before the cliff top carrying Ceruberr within its hand, a mystical Arcane shield about it the old man saw that there was little that could be done. But he thought he could best the creature still and prepared one last incantation, a bolt of pure Arcane energy, he knew it would be fruitless to target the monster, but if he could not target the beast he would instead target the very ground on which it stood. The cliffside!
Summoning all his might he would through the bolt at the cliff, a flash of Octarine brilliance would shimmer across the chasm of which they stood followed by a sudden hissing crack of chimes as the bolt found its target, destroying the cliff face and causing the creature to lose its footing.
It was at this moment that the old man realised what he had done, as he watched both the monster and Ceruberr fall into the roiling torrent below. He thought perhaps that Ceruberr had already succumbed to his ordeal but it did not matter. For as such thoughts raced through his mind he suddenly found himself upon the floor, collapsed. He had strained himself heavily and his ancient body could not tolerate such abuse without protest. He lay slumped upon the dead and lifeless void-kissed landscape next to the portal as he could only watch Ceruberr fall to what he assumed was his doom with the creature behind him. His ears were ringing but he could hear the cries of others of his party as he heard another voice disappear down below.
To his dismay he could only barely peer over and ask“What is it? What’s happening?” To which the party merely replied “It’s Saeldur! (_princeton_) It’s Saeldur! He has jumped down after his brother Ceruberr!”
A great pang of dread and guilt would fill within the old man’s throat as he tried to swallow. Only to find himself incapable. “No…” He thought to himself. “Oh my Aeriel and the Sages above no… What have I done?” The old man would sit by the side of the roiling portal to oblivion as silence would drift over the battlefield for the first time in a long while. The deaths of colleagues, two friends no less of the Celestial order, members of his order. Now hung above his head. “Aeriel… oh Aeriel what have I wrought?”
The old man could only grumble and serve a murmur before saying “That fool… that foolish fool!” Saeldur’s fate was certain, his death assured. The old man panged with guilt gritted his teeth as he thought to himself, “What a fool I am! A servant of the realm? I just let two boys I’ve known since their youth die by my hand! What kind of servant am I? To be so reckless? Blundermore the Wise, Blundermore the Sage, Blundermore the Guardian, Blundermore the Wizard. Bah!” He would think sarcastically to himself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD9r0q3Cey4
At that moment a thought passed through his mind as he remembered from earlier, when the creatures of the Voidal tear attempted to bargain with the party prior to the horrid business of war. The old wizard’s mind raced as he tried to think of something, anything, to save them. “What can I trade? What do I have to bargain?” He would think, until suddenly it dawned upon him…
Letting out a gruffled demand he would call out“Creature? Are you still present?”
He would immediately feel the presence of the being, despite being invisible to the naked eye it would be all too clear that at the very least the creature could hear him.
“You speak of bargains and trades before… well, I have a bargain for you!”.
The old wizard would breath heavily as his chest had been damaged by the prior battle. He would continue heaving as he said
“Saeldur and the others… they do not deserve this fate.”
Master Sage Elvira (Farryn) would look on with a face of shock as she heard the Ancient Ascended speak before she realised what was going on. Her eyes widening she would say with admission;
“….Blundermore… you're not saying…? A life for a life….? We don’t even know if he’s still alive!”
The old wizard would struggle to keep himself upright as he would pause for a moment as he contemplated what he was doing before finally replying to Elvira:
“I've lived far longer than I have had any right to… and seen things that no man should have ever seen. I'm old… beyond my years and outstayed my welcome. A worn and tattered old thing of several bygone eras. All things must end, but their lives? No… their's cannot end yet. Not this way and certainly not by my hand!”.
Remorse would grip the old man as he would let out a choked tear to the loss of Ceruburr and Saeldr. He could feel that the interest of the entity had been peaked immensely at what he was about to propose. He could feel the very air hanging upon his every word as he spoke and he knew that this would be the only way.
“Creature… if it is in your power to save them from death, I implore you to do so.And in return... I shall go with you to wherever it is you shall wish to take me.”
Elvira Naromis-Iyliar would merely watch on in horror as a mentor and a dear friend would put himself onto the bargaining table. Her usual calm and serene demeanor just simply beginning to break apart. She takes a deep breath and she merely nods in agreement, knowing that the Creed of Aeriel is very clear, she knew all too well as Master Sage of the Ascended order that penance must be paid in order to satisfy this transgression on Blundermore’s honor.
The old Wizard would continue:
“What say you?
The life and service of the last anointed Sage of Aeriel, the Second Wizard of Aegis and Master of the Celestial Order, to do with as you wish?”
The silence would be deafening as if the whole world has simply stopped a-gasped at what was said, the mere utterance of those words reeling upon the now quiet of the turmoil below them of the Arcane Voidal fissure. The old wizard could however see that the creature was contemplating his request with quite some glee even if the others could not.
Soon the voice would speak against towards Blundermore “That is… something.. I will trade you for.” Soon, there would be almost a ripple in the world, as the air around seems to almost go a weird black.
Breathing he would now know that the bargain had been struck. The table had been set and he would have to make good on what he had promised. Summoning all the strength he had left he would attempt to stand.

“Help me stand up”
He would say as Kazrin Starbreaker (Drhope) would come to his aid, helping him to stand upright. Trying to keep his composure he would straighten himself out, despite the pain in his chest and the screaming coming from all over his body telling him that there was nothing left to give… no… not nothing, there was still something left worth giving. He would think to himself.Sollumnly Kazrin would merely be only able to utter
“Yehll beh remembered... Blundermore.”
Elvira would stand firm as she looks the Ancient directly in the eyes, attempting to keep what little composure she had left going:“…I will ensure that the future generations of the Ascended never forget you and what you did on this say, Sage Blundermore…. Archaengul guide you, old friend,” she seems to hold back tears as she said such.
There would be a ripple, as suddenly a portal would appear. A straight drop that the wizard can simply fall into. “Jump.. And you will come with me.. You will follow around in the void.. Blundermore.. It'll be a great time for everyone involved..” A snicker would almost fill the land. Dark, chaotic energy filling over the area where Saeldur had fallen into.
Turning to look to the portal for a moment the old Wizard would be gripped by fear for the first time in an age… fear of the unknown. Fear of the end, it was close now, he thought, “I can feel it, Aeriel give me strength for what is to come.” Looking towards those who remained upon that bloody field he would hazard a smile as he looks wearily towards the group.
“It has been… a great journey, and the greatest pleasure to serve this realm. This world filled with such wonderful and brilliant men women and children whom I have had the greatest pleasure of meeting. I’ve seen entire realms destroyed only for them to tenaciously continue on, continue to endure when by rights we all should’ve died in Aegis.
But there comes a time when all must meet their fate. If this is to be mine, then I shall go into it gladly knowing I stood amongst such fine people.”
The swirling dark chaotic energy would almost rise Saelunor from the ground. The energy within the lands shocking the body. As it would basically rise from the lands.. Though it stays there. Motionless for the time“It is time, ‘Wizard’. Our bargain awaits.” the entity would say with malevolent glee...
Looking towards the portal once more he would steel himself for what was to come, slowly he would hand his stave to the party before him and would carefully set his wizard hat upon the ground as he would solemnly say
“I suppose I will not be needing these, wherever I am going… “
“Farewell, Narvak oz Blundermore.” Kazrin would say.
“We shall meet again within the halls of Haven to take her side in the afterlife” Elvira would say with duty.
Honor and duty… honor and duty. Virtues he has strived for for so long, and now it would lead him to whatever bitter end awaited him. Honour shall be satisfied, that is all that matters now.
As the wizard would step backwards onto the precipice of the portal he would find himself awashed suddenly with a calmness he had not felt in a long while… perhaps Sage Miaviel his predecessor was with him in spirit. A comforting feeling to know that he would not take this perhaps final journey alone.
Standing upon the edge of oblivion he would look towards the group as he clasped his hands together
“All things pass” He would say smiling “Let this be not a sad end”.
”Farewell...”
Closing his eyes he would allow himself to slip backwards off the precipise and into the jaws of Oblivion below… and with that the Wizard of Aegis disappeared into nothing to realms unknown. Taken by the Displacer.“All things must pass.”

What magic(s) will you be teaching?
Celestialism
Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):
Celestialism is a feat within the realms of Arcanism to do with the higher knowings of the Arcane. It involves several different practices and is considered an ongoing process of discovery for all involved. In order to become a celestialist one must master the arts of Arcanism to a degree unmatched by others, and only once they have may they truly hear the calling. A magical connection across an endless bridge of stars that calls to those gifted in the higher arts of the arcane allowing them to transend what they once knew of Arcanism and allowing them to tap into the greater Aura.
Celestialism involves many practices, but the most important one is to do with the creation and binding of familiars, which is an long drawn out and indepth process requiring countless materials in order to create specially created Arcanism stones. These stones unlike normal Gemstones require that a Celestialist has mastery not only Arcanism but Transfiguration as well. Celestials are creatures of the void, similar to Voidal horrors however instead of evil beings bent on the destruction of our world they are creatures of peace.
Binding a celestial requires the creation of a special MART application and needs to be approved by the celestial order as well as the lore team, each celestial has different powers and abilities requiring careful thought goes into them in order to prevent powergaming.
Celestialism also involves the creation of Mana Gardens, crystal gardens created from taking the celestial arcanism stone bound to a celestial and plunging it into the earth to create crystal fauna, an arcane infused plant life that helps to generate mana over time, mana required in order to create the much more complex creations of the celestialists.
Celestialists would find that their Arcanism is unmatched compared to any other once they have taken to walking down the path however the price is that they go down a tier in all Arcane magic except Arcanism and Transfiguration.
Celestialists are capable of “reading” the auras of those gifted with magic, as well as being gifted with a sight that allows them to see beyond what normal sight would allow, letting them see things that are magical in nature. Aura sight allows the Celestialist to perceive traces of ambient magic with ease. This largely functions in event-led encounters as a form of arcanic-based inspection/divination.
Celestialists are capable of melding with fellow Arcanism users called “Greater melding” that allows a celestialist to lead a band of fellow arcanism users in a combined incantation allowing them to combine their mana effectively to create more powerful and larger scale arcanism spells (the size and strength of which increase for every additional arcanism mage involved). Such as creating a colossal shield to encompass a city or to create super charged bolts of Arcanism to give an example.
Aura melding also causes a side effect called Aura tracking. The celestialist gains intimate knowledge of those they meld with and can use this information to pick out key characteristics within that person’s aura later on. Celestialists cannot change their aura colour at will to another they can however enchant objects they have melded with. With OOC permission you can see the traces of aura characteristics left behind from past meldings upon those involved. Especially when it comes to enchanted goods which allows for checks for authenticity. Aura tracking degrades over time and it becomes impossible to track after 2 IRL weeks from the melding date.
Celestialism is very difficult to summarise, if required I could provide more detailed examples or perhaps lesson examples but I feel I have an adequate understanding of the magic, as well as access to those whom can help me out if I get stuck on anything or make sure I’m doing it right.Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If the only thing that kept the High Elves going was a city then it was doomed to fail regardless.
RP groups aren't defined by buildings or places but by the people who rp in that group.3 -
Oh hey I remember building this.
I wonder what they decided to do with it in the end, I did most of the main spire and the giant pattern in the sky0 -
What is the point of consistently posting the same post several times in several different forum threads when there are already two sizeable forum threads on the subject already?
What is this post meant to do? Why couldn't you have just added it to the other two, now three posts on raiding?7 -
Why not force raids to be planned and co-ordination between both parties hammering out goals, reasons, times etc in order to make the experience more co-operative?
After all this is an RP server, the entire point is that it is meant to be co-operative play. If you can't co-operate and come to a reasonable solution or agreement in order to come up with terms that would be acceptable for both sides then one, I don't think players like that should be in any sort of positions of power where they are actively making these choices after all as nation leaders you have to be willing to co-ordinate with other nation leaders or else you won't solve anything, and two perhaps players that can't co-operate shouldn't be interacting with each other in such a provocatively antagonistic manner on both sides in the first place.
It all seems rather silly to me to be quite honest how both sides are acting. It is completely against the spirit of what an RP server should be about when you start deliberately segregating people into "us" vs "them". It's nonsensical, you should be working together in order to drive the RP forward not cause it to entirely break down because you're both too pig minded and selfish to see anything other than your own point of view.5 -

The epic struggle between elf and man captured in an instant of perpetuality highlighting the duality of man and the pointlessness of war in a climatic frenzy which only lasted mere seconds but felt like several grueling bloody hours of battle and punishment.

Why do you want to use magic within the Princedom?:
"After having a lengthy discussion with the gate guard and one of the princes of Fenn it had been brought to my attention that there was a new law in place that foresaw the need to limit the use of magic within the Fenn, and that the Ascended were not welcome due to matters unknown to myself. I came under no guise nor with the intent of causing harm or giving a reason to be mistrusted however and was permitted entry however on being told about the laws of the city I declined being admitted until I could properly fill out the legal requirements as I carry numerous Enchantments as well as natural affinities to magic that would find myself on the wrong side of the law if I was to step into the city.
Thus I am writing this letter of application to gain license so that my nature will not obstruct the course of the laws of the Fenn by being there. Though truly it is merely my intent to continue where I left off with the Fenn when I shared a shop with another there and perhaps eventually I may if permitted be allowed to reopen such a shop once more.

The old Wizard would snore loudly in his chair as he becomes bored of reading such large amounts of complete and utter rubbish dribbled out of the end of a rats arse. Content in knowing that a Heretic of Aeriel had been delt with and that Aeriel's will has been done. Never again shall the false Tyrant Belestram threaten her most holy domain with his vile presence. Knowing that the day will come when Belestram would meet his own fate upon the Black Deserts of the Soulsteam and that all of this would be for naught.
His family was safe, and that is all that matters now.
The old Wizard turning in his chair would settle in for a good night's rest within his study...

In order to self teach Celestialism you must have tier five in both Transfiguration and Arcanism, Which is the case here.
However it is my plan to remain with the order in order to gain access to knowledge and experience of those whom have already walked the path.
How did you learn this magic(s)?:
I was taught Arcanism quite a while ago by Grungron Irongut originally as a means to combat an increasingly growing number of Arcane mages in the service of darker powers such as Mordring at the time I was learning the arts of Arcanism. However as time went on and Blundermore became more experienced he started to delve into the deeper matters of the arcane until eventually he found himself at the limits of its potential, or so he thought.
He is one of the first pioneers of the art of Transfiguration, being one of a handful of the original practitioners of the art of Transfiguration and is well versed in it to a degree that would rival even immortal beings and mythical creatures alike. (Been doing the magic since the implementation of the magic system in early Asulon and was one of the handful of first generation teachers of the magic.)
MC name of OOC overseer (Note: they must either have a TA in this magic on any character or be a member of the MT):
Brandnewkitten (Iat the Shepherd) will be my OOC overseer.
Offer an explanation of the magic(s) you are learning:
Celestialism is the next step upon the road of the Arcanist to surpass the limitations of what is generally conceived as being the height of Arcanism. To push beyond the boundaries of knowledge and cross a fresh hold that leaves the user changed forever more. It is many things, from binding celestial familiars (creatures from the void that are drawn to the essences of greater Arcane Auras) using Arcanist stones to the creation of Crystaline gardens using Arcanist stones to seed the creation of such works of the Arcane. It also unlocks greater aspects of the Arcanism magic itself such as more complex constructs created from Arcanism and transfiguration together. There is quite a lot to Celestial Arcanism but the point of the magic is to expand and explore into the deeper reaches of the Arcane as opposed to just gaining new abilities. It's a process to enrich the experience of Magic over giving flat out buffs and is supposed to take a heavy toll upon your character as it changes them over time.
Provide evidence you've a proper means of learning this magic(s):
I've been in contact with the Celestial order for quite a while now and have recently progressed to the rank of Magus within the Celestial Order.
I've spent my time since joining the order taking every step possible to learn as much as I could about purpose of the celestial order, their means and methods, how they conduct themselves, what celestials are, how they exist in our realm, been shown the Greater Aura that Celestialism users have on more than one Occasion and how that works. Been described the process leading up to the "metamorphosis" in a bit of detail in drips and drabs by different members of the Celestial order whom all possess Celestialism and finally most recently been bound to a Celestial Familiar which was an experience which has brought Blundermore closer to the metaphorical edge of the precipice that he has been standing on for so long now without a means of knowing how to step off, melding entirely with Iat, the founder of the Celestial Order he saw for the briefest of moments what Celestialism truly was in a mere glimpse but it was enough to help fill in the final gaps of what was missing in order to undertake the process himself. The Familiar binding process as well to his new Familiar Synica leading to a heightened awareness of the connection shared between Celestialism users and their celestials.
In truth the reason for why he pursues this course is because of a theory he had written in a tome marked "The Spirit of Magic" in which displayed the idealism and philosophy that magic was not a tool and that it was in a ways 'alive', a companion if you will to be respected and to be our guide, he has always believed that there was more to the Arcane than what many called mere 'science' at the time. He took these ideas that the world was not as it seemed with him for over two hundred years when suddenly he began to feel a strange urge once he had master the art of Arcanism itself, a sense that he was being drawn towards something he did not otherwise know truly what it was. He had spent a long time searching for what exactly it was that was urging him onwards until he heard of the Celestial Order and how as Mages, they had achieved some sort of enlightenment he thought was what he seeked. The idea of spirituality and mysticism within the Arcane beyond the sciences made manifest within the walls of that very order, and though he did not find exactly what he thought he would, beyond those walls he would be was forever changed by what he truly saw. seeking to study the path of the "spirit of magic" and find out once and for all what was calling to him from beyond the stars.
(Referenced from the Guide post)
https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/158140-canon-guide-to-arcanism/
It has been a long drawn out process conducted over nearly two months now of studying the ways of the order and cobbling together fragments of knowledge to form what is required to take that step off the precipice and onwards into whatever awaits him beyond.
I can attest that I've spoken to Korus_prime, captain_sheepy, Thomas (Tahmas?) and Brandnewkitten's characters several times ICly about this topic in varying degrees.
I agree to the two week penalty that exists in learning Celestialism and thus will not be capable of casting magic once the state of change begins. However I may enforce a third week upon myself due to the fact I will be leaving for about five days next week so it wouldn't be entirely fair to miss out a week without magic because I didn't log in...

But wait... Leylines have been a thing since Aegis and is what partially forms "pools" and "lakes" that we call Voidal nodes. Are you telling me they don't recognize that lore anymore? Leylines crisscrossing across reality forming a next of which all of creation is pretty much based on as a foundation that keeps the world intact through mystical means?

I never realized how much making children and who can make children mattered so much on this server... I mean especially these arguments about biology it seems. You do all realise you're on a fantasy server with magic right? Science doesn't hold as much credence as it's being given credit for.
I have to agree with some of the comments here, some people on the server really do need to stand back and actually read what they're typing and ask themselves what the hell are they doing.0 -
"What on Aegis is a Feral? In my time calling anyone a Feral meant they more often than not were being accused of sleeping with their sheep on long lonely nights out in the stables. Has someone made a religion out of sheep buggery now as well?
Honestly the world is going mad..."
*The old Wizard would say as he sits alone in his study reading over the missive not too sure what exactly this is all about as light from the stars themselves hang from the ceiling illuminating the room with a celestial glow*

Last time you were the head lore master you wrote a personal character into being an Undead immortal Drakaar city sized god with his own personal realm who was also written into being not only the antagonist of the server but also the God of all Undead as well. You then used your GM/LM powers to pretty much do whatever you wanted as mordring including literally tping to people who said your name using GM keylogging. Of which you did several times to myself alone. Or you consistently showed up to random events or rp that didn't even involve you and suddenly try to make the whole thing revolve around your own character. The biggest issue was as you did all this literally no one could even do anything to stop you at all because you, as the head LM and an GM, wrote yourself into pretty much being a God which made interactions with your character pretty much infuriating and pointless. It was pretty much "Watch me show up and RP /at you/ whilst you pretty much just sit and watch, not able to actually do anything".
It would've been fine if it wasn't for the fact that mordring pretty much was being played as a personal character that could do anything. Including having your own personal untouchable base for you and your close friends in the abyss of which only a gm could access to mention another thing you did.
I'm sorry but you horrendously misused the staff power given to you really on several notable occasions, you weren't even meant to have GM pex and you certainly weren't meant to be using GM pex the way you were using it, the only reason you had it was because there wasn't a pex for a lore team leader to add new lore team members to the lore team pex in game but you misused this pex anyways under the guise of using it for an antagonist role. Though maybe a lot of people now might not remember it, myself and others still do and I really cannot morally endorse this application.
Screenshots where you randomly showed up after a mini event was pretty much concluded and didn't actually involve you at all and just started summoning the Drake Satar just because.
