  1. A White Brazen Phoenix is seen swooping away from the Cloud Temple as the letter is dropped off at the Monk Temple, As the Monk goes to read it find the letter sealed with purple wax. Removing it the message would reveal;

-To the Elder Monks of Cloud Temple-

I write to you in dire straights at the growing concern of unnatural beasts plaguing the Cloud Temple, loitering in the very place you would call peaceful sanctuary.

I implore you to reconsider your stance on the unnatural, the evil, the tainted and all things unholy and malcontent in this world when it comes to whom may receive your blessing upon your sacred sites. For as of late there has been a growing rise of restlessness among those whom would treat the Cloud Temple as their sanctuary, as the very murderers and monsters they wish to be away from mock them even there. Worse still is that you protect these vile creatures from harm. Allowing them to continue their torturous ways unimpeded.

I ask for all that is good in this world that you take drastic action. To expel these horrible creatures plaguing your sanctuary once and for all. Such monsters should not be protected by your blessings, they are not even deserving of them.

If you wish to keep the peace within your own lands, you must take action to bring order to it.

You have the power to bring peace to your temple. Use it, or else the Various holy orders will be forced to do so instead.

    With sincere Regards

  2. Actually the internet as we know it today was thought up by a British scientist called Donald Davies from the  National Physics Laboratory in London. Without his efforts the internet would've taken a lot longer to come about because literally everything about the internet is based off of his packet processing. The US "claims" to have invented the internet, but you can't really call a closed LAN network of 10 computers the internet lol...

Not to mention that not one country owns "the internet". To think that the case is foolish. Countries can control what kind of traffic comes into the country but they cannot control the internet. There's literally whole laws and seminars in place to discuss the ethics of government control of the internet etc.

The US does not own the internet. Its laws only affect its citizens who use it.

Also Freedom of speech under the US constitution doesn't include hate speech or speech that degrades others in a manner that could be considered harassment or again, hate speech.

  3. Will Nexus be made to accommodate building creatively? I.E. not restricting basic building blocks etc?

    ((Detailed below here))
    https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/145466-nexus-building-with-it

Will you be taking away the OOC power/bias of nations or giving guilds better chances to be able to thrive outside of a nation?

Will more Good natured creatures be gaining mechanic buffs? We have many Undead and evil creatures with mechanical buffs like Dreadknights, Ghouls, Harbringers etc. But what of things like Keepers, Ascended, Augers etc where applicable? It seems Evil gets a pretty big buff atm is what I'm getting at.

  4. Please stop making nexus more of a time sink for general creative building. I don't want to have to spend hours gathering matierals only to find out I have to wait an hour to craft a stack of blocks. Then another hour to turn that stack into a variation of that block like chiseled or pillars.

Stop limiting the creativity of players by putting skill walls over basic building materials that serve only decorative purposes. Like banners and plantpots. Signs and building materials, doors and beds.

The nexus plugin doesn't promote creative building. It promotes cobblestone fortresses with nothing to decorate them with.

Not unless you want to time sink for 6+ hours just so you can have a couple of stacks of blocks to build with...

Time sinking isn't fun. We have RP for our time sink already,  stop trying to make a new time sink where we don't need it.

-ATTENTION WIZARDS, SORCERERS, WARLOCKS, WITCHES, MAGES AND THAUMATURGES-

Are you paying too much for your cart insurance?

Are you an avid practitioner of the Arcane?

Are you weary of being misjudged by the law?

Are you a social pariah in your local town?

Are you tired of seeing magical monsters run amok giving us Arcanists who only wish to practice our arts in peace a bad name?

    Then read on!

I propose an opportunity, a new venture, should you wish to accept.

A gathering, if you will it.

To discuss the future of the Arcane, and those whom practice it.

Leave your name and how to contact you below.

The time when guilds alone could offer sanctuary is slowly fading.

There are far too many of us now for such things alone.

To remain divided will certainly lead to our own doom eventually.

Come, let us build our own future.

    Together.

The gathering shall take place a couple of Elven weeks from now.

  7. illum_t.gifhe Old Wizard would be sat inscribing a strange language next to a telescope before voices on the wind would catch his ear... it would sound like Elves and Orcs somehow communicating with each other despite being far apart from one another. The Wizard would find this very all very peculiar that there are those capable of projecting their voices several hundred leagues across the sand dunes of the Orcish Homeland to the forests and islands of the Elven Homelands.

Listening to the voices he would hear a whole lot of griping going on. However the moment passes... shrugging off the strange conversation he would go to the window before shutting the old gnarled wooden shutters of his tower. Mumbling to himself with a sigh as his inner sanctum grows silent, before going back to his desk to continue with what he was doing.

  8. Basically meaning that the whole concept of "One day alts" is moot anyways. With no means of making a persona the day prior to fight in a pvp battle (because it doesn't let you do that as established in the original post).

Really the concept of saying "one day alt" is incorrect.

Instead the issue from the examples given is more to do with people using mechanics of a race they otherwise shouldn't be using for that specific character.

Like Orcs /naming themselves to be Dwarves instead for the fight against Oren as an example quoted above.

Or Humans who have their race set to Orlogs etc.

It has nothing to do with "one day alting" (A point we've already established cannot actually exist) but an abuse of mechanics at its core.

  9. 4 minutes ago, Sultan said:

No one day alts does not mean new players.. It means a established persona changes the name and skin and fights for another side..

For example Dwarfs and Humans are at war, Orcs start alting as Dwarfs to fight against Oren.

Wouldn't that fall under the rules of abusing mechanics in an UNrp manner.

Like setting your race to an Orlog as a Human to gain the benefits of being an Orlog mechanically but RPing as a human regardless? Instead of being a "one day alt".

I mean, the concept of "one day alt" says to me a persona that has been made specifically with the intention of taking part in a warclaim and then not playing on it again.

Whilst the example you've given is more along the lines of abusing mechanics with /setrace

  10. I notice we're still putting the "No one day alts" thing into warclaims.

    Why...?

    No seriously, why?

At this moment in time if you make a new persona or join the server (which also counts as making a new persona) with a new Minecraft account, you are incapable of actually doing PVP, the way the server has been setup it stops new players and Alts from being able to take part in PVP on new personas.

So with that line of thinking... isn't the concept of the "No one day alts" rule somewhat redundant?

  11. What? I just meant isn't showing off your defences in a forum where anyone can see everything going on in there a little dangerous towards your strategy of defending it?

It's like pulling the wizard's curtain to find what goes on behind it.

  12. I feel like at this point here you shouldn't really be recording this, I mean isn't this just telling people how to get through your defences? Like all those little stone pillars making up a tiny maze or something etc etc...

  13. illum_t.gifhe old Wizard stops for a moment, leaning upon his staff as he sees a large group of people arguing with each other in what he can only assume to be the hall of Grudges. Rubbing his head as he looks onwards at Dwarven scribes holding books whilst arguing with all manner of Dwarves and men he would wonder what the nether was going on. Rubbing his bearded chin at the strange sight before him. Before shrugging it off, listening to the whispers upon the wind, continuing to follow them once more.

((Where is this conversation even taking place? How is it taking place? It seems a little silly when you put it into RP context right now...))
