Do you have a magic you are dropping, due to this app? If so, link it:

Construct magic does not take up a slot according to recent magic app revisions.

  4. If you think people in aegis built like the last picture I don't think you quite remember what aegis was actually like.

Also just because you like a certain build style doesn't mean every other build style is crap. That's just being narrow minded. Also these kind of builds can be incorporated if done in a smart manner.

Also lotc has been stuck in its broody edgy grim dark fantasy period for far too long now. It's really starting to show that a lot of people want to become more light hearted despite what's going on in the world quite often from what I've seen. Personally I think dark broody grim fantasy has been done. It's over rated and long outstayed it's welcome. It's impact came from being new and different, shocking people with the idea that not all fairy tales were these happy go lucky day affairs. But in media today now that broody Dark edgy crap has become the standard norm now. It's just getting a tad bit boring.

You're entitled to your opinion but this post ain't getting no trigger warnings son.

  5. Didn't know that. Still leaves the proportion between spooks and holy users vastly apparent mechanical wise. Seems highly unfair that there are these creatures that gain almost godlike buffs and yet the groups actually capable of negating that advantage have nothing leading to extremely one sided fights if and when pvp is called.

    Seems terribly biased is all.

  6. DrizztSue.png

The duel wielding Katana Dark Elf Mary sue with something to prove... Where did that character archtype come from?

There is talk of a character from long ago... a very important character, his name is Drizzt, and he is the original Dark Elf Ninja assassin... guy, thing.

Here is an excerpt of his description:

    • "Drizzt Do'Urden /ˈdrɪtst doʊˈɜːrdɪn/[1] is a fictional character in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game.

    • Drizzt has since become a popular heroic character of the Forgotten Realms setting, and has been featured as the main character of a long series of books, starting chronologically with The Dark Elf Trilogy. As an atypical drow (dark elf), Drizzt has forsaken both the evil ways of his people and their home in the Underdark, in the drow city of Menzoberranzan.

    •  Drizzt is a drow who acts against the drow stereotype, favoring friendship and peace over hatred and violence. His unusual personality creates the conflict that allows Salvatore to create so many novels with stories about courage and friendship.[3] Drizzt fights the dark traits that are inherent in the drow.[4]

    • He is well known - and well-hated - on /tg/ for being the origin of the "Good Drow Ranger Fighting To Prove Him/Herself Worthy Despite The Sins Of His/Her Kin Whilst Dual-Wielding Scimitars" stereotype used as a template to create characters by hundreds upon thousands of pathetically unoriginal idiots the world over. Whilst Drizzt really isn't a terrible character in and of himself (especially in light of **** like Pinelight), the sheer volume of Drizzt-clones he's spawned are capable of inducing burning fury in even the most mild and even-tempered of dudes.

    • He is also commonly described as a Mary Sue, although whether this is really a property of the character himself or if he's simply tainted by association with the thousands of knock-off characters he spawned is open to debate, although many are betting on the latter. Given past experience by players being inspired by stupid ****, there is every reason to take a lot of problems with the guy with a grain of salt.

Wiki Links below, 1d4chan is the funnier condensed version:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drizzt_Do'Urden

    https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Drizzt

Drizzt is essentially the basis of which thousands of characters owe their origins to. He is the original "edgy dark elf". I think in some ways we should somehow incorporate him into the lore in a smart way that "pays homage" to what he is, and what his character spawned. I think it would be pretty funny if there was an easter egg in the lore somewhere that incorporated him.

But yeah, this is where that character archtype came from.

    Genesis.

  7. The old wizard can't quite put his mind on it but it is as though he can feel someone or many people somehow talking about this letter or something relating to it.

He doesn't know how or why this is happening, he ponders the conundrum as he sits in his silent sanctum until eventually he shrugs with a small mumble to himself. Going back to his studies once more.
