Letters would be sent to various members of the Holy League and posted on the bulletin board in a few places baring the mark of the Order of Aeriel written in High Gothic:

To the Esteemed members of the Holy League and to those whom it may concern.

Today the Order of Her Lady's most sacred Light and the Crimson Edict suffered a terrible injustice at the hands of the Teutonic Order.

Without warning, the Teutonic Order attempted to scale the walls of Tal'Ardoth and assault the people whom live there in a most savage unprovoked manner.

Huddled, frightened and scared, the various students of the Tower of Aeriel, many of whom are merely children hid terrified of these brigands as the valiant defenders of Tal'Ardoth stood defiant in the face of blind malice.  

Two of our number fell wounded, but ultimately the braggarts and bandits were driven off, and our students are now safe once more thanks to the efforts of these Brave men. 

We stand together in solidarity and with fire in our hearts that our resolve will not be broken so easily, and call for a cease in unprovoked Hostilities immediately so that more innocent blood will not be shed.

To be honest we've been getting the same **** for 6 years now lol... it really doesn't phase a lot of our more senior players anymore, but it is a bit of a shame for our new bloods being caught up in something they haven't really had to experience until joining. 

It's pretty much clockwork when logging in that someone will fire a PM insulting us or meme'ing us like it's cool and fresh and funny, even though you've heard it again and again from different people for six years. 

I kinda thought the server would've changed in six years, wouldn't you agree? Sadly the names and faces change but the **** just stays the same. At the very least they should get some new material to keep it interesting.

TBH it is getting a little tiring seeing the same people pretty much going "Grr grr Ascended" every week for the last month, or the month before that, or before that etc.

We get it, you don't like us.

This isn't aimed at Azoth by any means but a lot of Azoth's posts recently are being used as a platform and excuse for these people to launch off of.

The old wizard sitting in his study would look out the window to see a lot of odd people waving their arms in the air shouting quibs at each other... sighing he would say to himself

"Is it that time of the month again already? Who are they even all talking to honestly they're just shouting at the sky at this point."

The Wizard shrugs before turning back towards his study once more leaving the strange silly people to their devices

I rarely comment on staff application posts because I think the entire thing is a massive farce really but saying that I believe at the very least the staff team should read what the other side of the fence has to say.

Heerozero:

Manipulative,  untrustworthy, mean-minded, selfish, abusive, aggressive and childish. 

These are some of the things that make up this applicants past and appears to still be present today. 

He harasses people to get what he wants, he has been a severe detriment to the running of the server in the past leaking various lore posts etc when I was lore team for two years. He singles people out and uses any means he has to try and force them to quit or do what he wants.

Quite frankly he is one of the most repugnant people I've ever seen and has caused a lot of issues for the server and staff team in the past leading him to be banned from ever holding a position on the server again.

Not to mention the fact that his ooc bias makes him extremely unfit for any staff position of any kind.

I would like to have said maybe that he has changed since a few years ago but recent run ins with him and accounts from others suggest he hasn't changed at all. On the contrary, he has gotten worse with age.

This is not the kind of person you want on your staff team.

The old wizard hears a lot of Hot air coming in through the window of his study lately. The sound of smugness filling the air to a degree that is almost intoxicating as the room began to heat up with the sheer amount polluting the air. Wandering over he would look out of the windows before shutting it. Suddenly the smugness fades, and hot air once more becomes cool...

"A lot of opinionated thoughts on the wind today..."

He says before turning to head back to his study.

"After sticking up for him for several times when put under scrutiny by the Order and helping him pull through it I can only feel sad more than anything else as to what that all accomplished in the end..."

An old Wizard would say as he sits in a drafty study reading over the letter wondering what had happened to his friend Azoth.

"He never even said goodbye..."

Real life takes precedence. Always. 

Any masterful mage that has delved into magic enough to call themselves a "Master of the Arcane" should be pretty much tissue paper... Regardless of their race or whether or not they're undead or living. 

It wouldn't be fair otherwise. 

Anyone that doesn't take that into account is just a power Gamer Really :p

I would say Anguel Daemonic with hints of Arcanism lore as well as a few pieces here and there to do with Dark Magic. Specifically Holy Magic is my Game though, though I'm not against writing things that have no actual use or benefit past being fluff text almost sometimes.

Have you ever written lore for LoTC? (this will not augment your chances at obtaining the position of LM.):

-I wrote the lore for the Dreadknights.

-Helped oversee several rewrites for the lore of the server magic in the transition from Aegis to Asulon into what you know today as the server magics, generally reorganization, balancing, working out what player had what magic and laying the groundwork for the future of LOTC's magic and how it interacted with our world, along with how Anguel Daemons specifically fit into all of this bollocks.
-I've written the Blood Mages lore, a server antagonist in Asulon. 
-Ascended portal magic. 

-The Darkness Lore.

-The crescendo Event post for the end of the 3.0 Map.

-Gudour the night Terror: A Drake/Drakaar with a lust for wealth and treasures.

-The Mathic Cycle Project (Helping with it, although ultimately that project was abandoned).

I believe there are others but I really couldn't recall... my time on the lore team was between 2.0 and 3.0/parts of 4.0 I think.

I have had one Ban, however I asked for it back in 2.0. It was a 2 Week ban.

I don't get along with anyone

I wouldn't say I really know anyone on the Lore team well enough to even be able to form an opinion of the people that make up the lore team.

The Wizard weary from spell casting would smile as the Totem pillars are risen upon the corpses of Several notiable undead Leaders and peons alike, breathing a sigh of relief, his staff arm heavy and his Mana spent upon the battle from casting so many spells he felt like he had been fighting for days.

Leaning upon his stave he would servey the field filled with the corpses of Morghouls and Dreadknights alike knowing that this was merely small recompense for the loss of Bastion.

As the Ward of the Shamanistic Totems spur into life he merely whispers to himself:

"Hope Endures."

Can't see this turning into a flame war at all.

Perhaps this whole event outlines three key things.

One is that the staff are not infallible. Nor are they always in the right. What the likes of ski king etc did unfortunately happens all too often in the past.

Two, Greater care should be taken to actually protect information you yourself spread onto the Internet. If you're using a public Skype account that people you don't know will see... don't put your ******* picture on it. In fact just don't put pictures up of yourself on anywhere where the public can access it.

Three. Don't be utter gobshites to each other over a game of building blocks. That goes to both the players and the staff. You're ultimately here to play a game. Remember that next time.

Relax. Stop taking yourselves so seriously. That goes for everyone staff and players alike.  

I suppose a fourth point should be stop being so fixated on the drama and calm down. Making more and more of these posts solves nothing really. But at the same time the staff should be a bit more accountable for their actions like ski king for example.

What kind of Punishment exactly? You've left it quite open ended. From anything from a slap on the wrist to a perma ban. A more concise punishment should be made clear.

As The introduction to the server for new players atm? It's ****. It's literally a hole in the ground. I'm surprised so little effort went into this map's spawn and yet it is possibly the most populated cloud temple spawn I've ever been to. At least the other maps had fancy spawns and stuff that weren't haunted by every person looking to shy away from conflict RP of any kind.

If the GM team had spent the time they spent building Sunless sanctum, a place for players probably several weeks into the server that no one goes to apart from the highest level spooks, on a proper cloud temple spawn, we'd be setting a better image for the sever for first time players.

You may call me old fashioned but I believe there is still ample room to involve normal wizards here and there in some lore. Not everything has to be an eldritch Wraith or lich or whatever. 

Incorporeal beings. 

Alternatively you could make someone who isn't going to be themselves a... 'Void wraith whatever thing?' A catalyst to merely help other players along to further keep it from becoming "circlejerky". Sometimes the best neutrality comes from not actually being involved anymore than the initial process.
