I posted a thread called the Ultimatum of Istria the other day in the human RP forum which had a legit backstory to this warclaim but forum moderators decided to lock the thread, warn everybody posting in it and then delete the thread

As executor of my father's will in Vailor, named so in his missive to the Imperial Crown, titled the Will of Istria, I have decided that the lands of my family, the Duchy of Istria, will go into the stead of my cousin, Guile de Sola, present Imperial Champion and a noted war hero.  He is the most charismatic of all de Solas still alive save myself, and he closely resembles his grand-uncle.  I would take the job myself, but my service is owed directly to the Crown, and I'll give it to a man better dispositioned to time.

Further, I authorize the creation of an Istrian regiment of the Imperial State Army, that will henceforth be organized as the 13th Istrian Imperial Legion, or in old terms Legio XIII Istria.  Like the legions of the ancient imperium, it shall be manned by the gallant, commanded by the best, and unbreakable to pain.  The militias of Istria will be combined and amalgamated into this legion, and the nobles of paramount martial ability will be granted high command positions.  The peoples of Istria, who have shown a remarkable will to survive in the face of the collapse of our industry as a direct result of the civil war, are not ironically one of the most industrious groups in Orenia at this time. 

The Istriots deserve an army and they deserve love and power, and a leader that is loved by the people, and capable of bringing the people to high honor and victory.  That leader shall henceforth be known as Duke Guile the Strong.

The current landed nobility, knights and territorial officers of Istria may now swear their allegiance and loyalty to the new Duke.

Understand that the Imperial Privy Council received no word of this warrant, and thus this warrant is not recognized.  The use of the word 'warrant' in this case is in fact illegal.  The Master of Chivalry's position does not entail the declaration of warrants.  It's to my understanding that you have a good memory, so I'll trust you'll remember that in the future.

His Imperial Majesty our Imperator, myself as Grand Executor of His Will, and the High Magistrate are the three with the legal leave to do so.

To all the subjects of Orenia, the peerage, the courtiers, the knights, and the holy men,

Word has reached me of the fall of King Guy.  As de Sola was bound to de Bar by blood through the King, I extend my sympathies and sorrows to the man that was one of my only friends.  At the present I stay in the distant court of Horen in Aeldin on dynastic business, the stuff of a special nature.  In my place I named Otho de Capua, who shall be henceforth regarded as my true son legitimized, as Regent of Istria and de Sola.  Further, my son by my erstwhile wife Lucienne de Noir, Vanderus, has made his return from his insubordination to my commands and sworn to see Istria refortified, and with Otho the two half-brothers shall occupy my say in the matters of state which are to come.

I firstly instructed my son Vanderus to offer de Sola's service to the new regent, the Prince Gereon, for the sake of our blood ties.  I am told, with shock, that Vanderus was sharply rejected by this new regent.

However, I wish to see the matter of the election carried out peacefully, as though we de Sola do not bend the knee to common men even masked with noble blood, we are not barbarian savages, and we will endeavor to ensure this transfer of power go as the law commands, for I am the law.

May my son Vanderus be considered the executor of my will in my absence.
