The FoA have never been lead by any one else but the FoA or Ascended/Enlightened. I think you are mistaken.

Ah, so we are changing recruitment boards it seems? If that is the case, I have retained the scroll of formations from the old board. Here it is, in it's entirety: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19Zw4BhcMHPURYgoSH87QMudid69v_nE0ddijxr10lMA/edit?hl=en_US

Minecraft User Name:AHerosDeath Character Name:Kadeth Aranion Background/History (Chronologically and must be at least 1 paragraph long, but no longer than 4 paragraphs): Kadeth has always been thought of as "rugged" by the other elves and has lived a difficult, but rewarding life up until this point. He grew up in the Elven Forests of Malinor as a farmer with his parents, brother, and his sister. The life of a farmer is a tough one, as they are always busy. From tending the fields, harvesting the crops, and his other duties, Kadeth was always at work when he was younger, to help provide and support his family. At night and in between his duties, Kadeth and his brother and sister were taught their numbers, letters, how to use a bow and arrow, and other important life skills to provide for their own families, when older. Eventually, Kadeth began to feel the pull of life outside of Malinor. He loved farming and his family, but he soon felt the yearn for adventure and excitement. His duties soon began to be flooded with dreams and thoughts of the outside world, and what it could possibly hold. Kadeth's slip in production was noticed by his family, who soon confronted Kadeth and asked what was wrong. Kadeth explained his wishes and, with a heavy heart, his family agreed that he should experience Aegis for himself. They provided him with his pack, a supply of food, his bow and arrow, and a small amount of Minas and wished him luck in his journey. With tears in his eyes, and a small smile on his face, Kadeth sets out from Malinor, ready for adventure. Kadeth traveled far and wide, slowly heading North. He heard that there was a lot of action and adventure going on in the North, and that is the reason he wanted to venture that way. He adjusted to the cold climate quickly and used his skills as a hunter and gatherer to stay alive. He came across a large sandstone structure in the North belonging to the FoA. He had heard of their duty and bravery and wanted to join to help quell the Undead in the North and free the land of suffering. Good Deeds [Atleast 4 Occations]: Kadeth has stood up for Aeriels values and teachings many times when interacting with others. He has also shown mercy and kindness to Nightmare, a recent prisoner of the FoA when he was being treated wrongly. He has also given food and clothes to others when he had spare, and is always an elf that can be talked to for advice and a fair word. Character Flaws/Weaknesses: Kadeth will always stand up for what he believes is right, even if that means going against authority and those that are in command over him. In that regard, he is flawed because he does not know when to keep his mouth shut and listen to his superiors. He will also always stand up for mercy, forgiveness, and fairness, even if commanded not to. Why you belong in Theology/Scholar/Warrior/Commerce?[Explain the abilities of your Character]: Kadeth belongs to the warrior sect due to his skills. He is a master of the bow and is decent with a sword, although he is still learning. He is also quite proficient in strategy and war formations, as well as being experienced in healing with herbs and salves. Rationale [what is your characters mindset, why does he go out of his way to help others]: Kadeth's mindset is deeply rooted in the way he was raised. He was raised to be a gentle, kind, caring, and respectful dwarf from his parents. With these traits, Kadeth always likes to go out of his way to help others and continue practicing the skills his parents imbued in him. How do you determine right from wrong [At least 1 paragraph]: Kadeth helps to determine right from wrong by various means. He tries to stay a neutral voice in any argument and tries, as best as he can, to fit himself in each persons shoes and evaluate the pros and cons of each. Kadeth tries to empathize with each sides feelings and also tries to use the visual cues of each side to catch deceit. What are your characters views on the following statements (At least 1 Paragraph): 1. Cephalus defines ‘justice’ as speaking the truth and paying one's debts. Socrates quickly refutes this account by suggesting that it would be wrong to repay certain debts—for example, to return a borrowed weapon to a friend who is not in his right mind. I agree with both of these to an extent. With my upbringing, I believe that speaking the truth and paying your debts is the way to go in life. It helps to breed honest behavior in myself, and helps to spread that positivity and good feelings to others, and then for those good feelings to be spread to even more people.. As for Socrates' opinion, I can also see the implication in that. You need to use your judgment to decide on when to pay back your debt. For example, if you borrowed your friends sword and he has gone mad, now is not the good time to pay back that debt. But the intent of wanting to do so and understanding the reason not to is the lesson learned here. With that said, keeping the sword until a later time when the friend has calmed down and has his wits about is fine to do. The reason for this is ensuring your friends, and others, safety. 2. 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them? I believe that you need to take arms against the sea of troubles and oppose them by whatever means. Now, this does not mean just evil. Of course, opposing evil is a very important thing to do, but this can also be used in broader terms. You need to have the same tenacity in fighting evil as you do in the things that set out against you in life. You need to be just as enthusiastic and meet them head on and by doing so you will lessen the troubles against you, thus clearing your mind. This will help you to focus on other things in life and lead to a calm, stress free way of thinking. If you don't, these troubles grow upon themselves which is bad for any person, dwarf, orc, or elf.

*You see a neat written scroll nailed to the FoA message board in the encampment. It has drawn your attention with it's elaborate writing and detailed drawings. You also see General Safen's signature beneath it.* "My opinion has been asked on formations for the FoA and how to train the soldiers by General Safen himself. He has charged me with writing up the formations that I have discussed with him, and will be implemented for all members in times of war as soon as appropriate. Please familiarize yourself with the contents of this scroll and understand each formation, so they can be used when General Safen calls upon them: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19Zw4BhcMHPURYgoSH87QMudid69v_nE0ddijxr10lMA/edit?hl=en_US *Signed by Private Kadeth and overseen by General Safen*

Character Name (I.C.): Kadeth Aranion Character name (O.C.): Aindrias (As I assume you mean my forum name) How much time do you spend on the server?: 20 hours a week or so Race: Elf IC Age: 210 Will you be a FOA soldier, or a preacher?(Preachers are allowed to fight, but not their main focus): I would like to fight the Undead to the best of my abilities. With my bow and abilities in healing and herbal remedies, I am best suited to this task. Goals in the FOA?: My goals in the FoA are simple: I want to help rid the land of Undead and bring back peace to the realm. Honor is only brought upon by duty, and Kadeth wishes to serve. Glory and honor are not the most important things, only helping those who require aid. Good deeds you have done?: I have helped people by giving out spare bread and meat when needed, donating my time to help someone in need to find their way, and healing those who need it with my herbal remedies and salves. I assume fighting Undead with my bow is thought of as a good deed as well? Have you done any bad deeds?: No one is perfect in this world, and I do not claim to be. I have stolen some food from a chest that was unlocked because I was starving. I have since gone back and repaid the person, although I do not believe they have noticed it was missing. How did you hear of us?: I heard general chatter and rumors about the land, and saw a group of Enlightened and FoA fighting a giant monstrosity outside of the base. I helped them with my bow and, when defeated, took my leave as I had no desire to intrude upon them. Are you against the Undead? Please explain why.: I am against the Undead for many reasons. One, as I have stated, is that I wish to help bring peace to the realm, so we can all not live in fear. If needed, I would lay down my life as, after much contemplation and reflection, I believe that everyone has a purpose, and mine is helping to serve and fight. What is your primary weapon in battle? (Sword, Axe, or Bow. Please state which one and your skill level please. Please refer to the rank list for appropriate weapon skill level.): I prefer the bow in battle, as I am most proficient in it. I am also learning the way of the swordsman, although I still need more training. Are you a capable builder?: I can build many types of structures and believe I am good at this skill as well. Can you wield any other weapons?: Other than my bow and sword, I can wield my fists, if that counts. Any special skills?: I do not believe I have any special skills, unless you count my healing capabilities. Do you have faith in the Aeriel and will you tell of this to others? Please explain why.: I do not know much of Aeriel, or what she stands for. I am willing to learn more on the matter, as knowledge is essential. Explain how you will help to serve the FOA, and through us, the Ascended and Aeriel: I will help in whatever ways that I am needed. Whether fighting, building, tending the farms, healing, or being an ally for those who need it. I will serve to the best of my ability.
