Topic: A Wise Healer's Return (Topic written in OOC style) As some know already, or 30 or so, I have returned to the guild from a VERY long time. I apologize for such due absence, I have every fault in that. I left the server, tired of Minecraft until now in Anthos since 3 weeks ago. Let me review my story. In Asylon, Vulnir Kalenz (supremacyops) recruited me to act as "wise healer" or healer, having an apothecary in the guild-house. we headed to the town where it was. We saw villages who asked, "Polgrath's people? oh, finally he did something with that lousy guild," this is the truth. So, we headed to the "guild-house." I found it dusty and vacant, the grim shadow of what the guild is today. I applied to Polgrath for my "Wise Healer" ranking and he agreed. He was the one telling Kalenz to find people after all. I asked Kalenz why it was so vacant. He said the guild hadn't been doing it's best work to start up, and he was finding people as myself to pioneer. I agreed, swearing my oath and promise to pioneer. Yet, I soon encountered a scourge lord at the bridge of the High Elf city, where i was taken, and thus dark tales of my quest in Asylon go into my absence to the guild. Now I do apologize once more, but I am here now. Let us be anew in our new headquarters that was to be scouted out for after our expedition to Occultus! I have taken part in this expedition and have been in the delvery and interacted for some time now, so to prove my existence once more, but I have not seen Polgrath. Perhaps Adonis will speak of my return. Sincerely, Wise Healer Mageshield Rasthi Quillwind (monstermoo)

I feel that the battle was not the end of this. It really just wasn't conclusive. Might I suggest a continuing the "war status" towards each faction, and perhaps skirmishes at times, whether planned or not?

Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: MonsterMoo How old are you?: 13 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: East Coast/ United States of America Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Unequivocally definite. I am in advanced placement for English Literature. *shrugs* Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Well. I am prone to gain knowledge for fun, I’m not ferocious and brutal, and Roleplaying is part of me. Also, I don’t like it when people grief, so I have no reason not not hate myself for griefing someone. (hating myself for griefing someone.) But hating yourself is so strange… *stops talking* How much time could you be on the server weekly?: The weekends during the school year. On vacation, that varies but on the week days at least. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know that roleplaying is the act of acting out life in a video game (or in other times…) and sometimes things that cannot happen in the game so it is “*XXXXXX.*” To me it means enrichment to the game and what I love entirely in games. This is different from RPGs, which are controlled RP, or somewhat. Roleplaying is not just in video games, but in the case of a video game it is used when around others playing, because if alone or single player it is an RPG even if not intended of the game. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I Roleplay in SWTOR, in the past I’ve RP’d in WoW, and I have played some Minecraft RP servers but they didn’t appeal to me, so I am sure LOTC will be the one. When I was little I Roleplayed on Roblox, a sandbox if your familiar with it. I prefer Fantasy RP to Sci-fi RP WoW and SWTOR are MMORPGs, but still have RP servers and action emotes plus power-emoting, so this is RP on RPG. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Using out-of-game info that you do not have in-game in your character’s knowledge. I don’t personally like it but if it is ever needed it is stated with brackets. It IS something that one could be swept into confusion without because there are times that one was afk and was supposed to be active in-game, so they would bracket (what is going on?) or of any other possible question. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: An emote that is, when in the sequence of emoting with another, a power-emote would be a foul play since this is when one person does something that is unblock able by the other person. For example, “*Bob grabs Tim’s coin purse and escapes, nowhere to be seen*” Tim cannot do anything like try and attack Bob. This act is an immense shunned upon and cheap. In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is: Your regular personality in gaming or otherwise when it is not RPing. Used when bracketing for something they missed in the scene but their character should know. Also used if your not even playing an RPG. In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is:Your regular personality in gaming or otherwise when it is not RPing. Used when bracketing for something they missed in the scene but their character should know. Also used if your not even playing an RPG. In your own Words, define what the difference between RP and RPG is: RPG, Roleplaying game, is usually seen in “MMORPG” because it is the act of playing and going along with the storyline in an MMO. This is the case in non-MMO RPGs, too. Although, in an MMORPG you can RP with others, but this is impossible with an RPG because it is single player. An RPG does not require the player’s effort to play along. In a game isn’t an RPG or an MMORPG and is multiplayer, one can roleplay with the capability of being about to type or in some way communicate to the other player(s.) What do you expect this server will be like?: I’ve explored and I think it will be a well-organized roleplay. I think it will also be safe from grief and will not overpopulate in bad roleplayers. I have great expectations that this will be an amazing server. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: MCPVP, when I joined mincraft in alpha my friend urged me to play with him on it. JUST PVP bored me. I then went to Xegaming, a bukkit server that was completely overpopulated with grief and spammers. I left it for that, of course. I joined a whitelist SW server that was then griefed. I left because no one was RPing. I then joined ProjectNarna which I am trusted on. I left because there were too many people who hated me for building magnificent structures and not letting them live there. *shrugs* Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Indeed. To think otherwise to a crime even to myself. How did you hear about us?: From my own online research. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: Yes. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/66226-moos-application/ is my first application. For the most recent and more important one, go here. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/66525-moos-2nd-application/ In-Character: Character Name: Rasthi Quillwind the Historian (Rasthi for short) What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): High Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Rasthi is 411 years old.Rasthi is cheerful and never impatient. He has platinum hair and fair skin as high elves do. He prefers robes to pants and a shirt. His eyes are violet; a common trait in his bloodline. He will wander immensely when he is given the chance, looking for new herbs and plants. From the time he could read to now he has collected books of various accounts and genres. The Quillwinds are known for taking fancy in books and writing. To get these resources, Rasthi wanders, collecting all kinds of materials. As a high elf, he also enjoys herbalism and practices this often. He is called upon by those of all ethnic groups’ economic statuses for his advice on matters. When Rasthi was young and relentless he learned songs from other common folk and planned a life as a bard. When he grew older he found the thought silly and abandoned it, but still sings “like the wind through valleys and mountains” as those who have heard him say. He is also very scared of zombies from tales as a child. as a child, he was very social and made many friends who would listen to him read tales of heroes and battles. When at an older age of 12 but still young and ruthless, an old man who Rasthi had seen in the whereabouts numerous times clanking along with armor and a standard sword. One day this man entered Rasthi’s fathers map shop (which was the first floor of their house) and asked for a map of ShadowVale. Rasthi’s father walked into the backroom to see what he had while Rasthi walked rather fast to the man. The man grinned toothily. “What’s it ye wants eh, little elfy. Hah! Does he know what a man ‘ere Jolon is?” The man asked. Rasthi shook his head vigorously obviously already enjoying his conversation already. “Well.” Jolon started out. “He’s a merry one, so don’t you get scared of him, but that is what Jolon likes of you, ye don’t just ponder talkin’ to Jolon, a big armored man as he, ye just walks right up!” He stated. At this he chuckled, and asked Rasthi if he made maps with his father. “Yes,-I do.” Rasthi answered softly. “Well. Drawn anything of ShadowVale?” Jolon asked with a wink. “yes,” Rasthi stated. “Good. Go fetch your work and hurry your father.” He ordered and Rasthi ran and fetched these things. He came back with his father and two maps, and handed them both to Jolon. Jolon set the two on the shop counter and examined both. He stood there for what seemed an hour, and then finally he spoke. “Now, sir, who taught your son to draw maps?” He asked. “I did, but he practices more writing than I do and thus his lines fare better and his script and is clearer, thus the maps broader and more detailed. I am proud of my son,” He replied, putting his hand on his son. “Well! You then have the most gifted script maker I have met by far, mister Quillwind!” Jolon Exclaimed smiling, shaking Rasthi’s fathers hand vigorously. “I will buy his map of ShadowVale, and I something for your little lad.” He said with cheerfulness. Jolon paid the minas and beckoned Rasthi to come outside. They stepped outside to just past the doorstep and Jolon stood taller than he appeared before. With a heave Jolon grabbed the sword of his belt and unsheathed it with the slice of the wind ringing in Rasthi’s ears. The magnificence in the way Jolon had flicked his wrist to slash was amazing. “See how I did this? Here, you try,” Jolon reached into a pouch and took out a simple knife. They began to practice, and Rasthi befriended Jolon. “When the time comes, you need not worry of old age to slow you in the way of a sword.” Said Jolon. To this day Rasthi remembers him, and swears that even though Jolon was old, he never seemed to stop visiting, year after year, on some times. He hasn’t seen Jolon since the days of living with his parents in Luarelin. He left them for the road at age 18. As war broke out between the undead army of Iblees and Aegis, Rasthi avoided any contact with the world. He wandered the lands, never entering towns and never letting himself be spotted by guards or mercenaries. He stole from camps to survive, and also relied on the lands resources; for he always stayed in forests. One day as he crept along near a road, preparing to attack some merchants, he overheard their conversation. “Hurrah to Magroka! And hurrah to those who fell and those who lived! So, what happened out there, I felt the shake of the lands, but what did Magroka do?” Asked one merchant. The other replied, “Magroka threw Vardak into the spirit world, and caused an explosion making a crater and a portal to Iblees lands. Warriors ran in and closed the thing! Cutting it off from Aegis!” They both nodded happily, but then he continued, “The crater destroyed most of Laurelin, too bad for those who were so protected within it. I heard lots died from it.” At this Rasthi remembered his old life, before his brutality and solitude from others. He remembered his parents, and wondered whether they were alive. He assumed not, and grieved for them. He then continued to listen. HE heard the merchants in mid-sentence, “-charters that will lead to some mythical thing called the verge. I’m heading to where it’s supposed to be to find out what the fuss is about. A desperate person means desperate minas!” The merchant laughed, and the other agreed, not very content due to the ill condition they both were in too. They continued walking and Rasthi followed then from a distance, for he was a scary sight for one who had just become a fair one again. Rasthi’s story goes on as those of the other refugees do. He was allowed onto one of the boats, but he was given a very small, cramped area to sleep and live. On the Perfect Day, most went up on deck to see away the ruined land. Rasthi stayed under the deck, for he did not want to be nostalgic of such a place. He survived the weeks of sailing, but his stomach was of the same as everyone else’s; over the side of the boat. When they arrived in Asulon he didn’t wait for civilization. He again wandered, but stole no more and set foot in towns at times. History passed, and with it Rasthi recuperated into a normal elf again. He lived in a tree alone. He read and slept and lived normally. One day, around year 10, a group of human cutthroats had been spotted by Rasthi making camp by his tree in Malinor. There were three of them, and they were all in ill shape. Rasthi hid in the underbrush and crept towards the site, in order to see the surroundings. The camp had a subtle fire made hastily for one night. There were two rudely set up tattered tents a few paces from the fire. The three ruffians laughed and talked while sitting on logs. To Rasthi’s surprise and anguish not too far from the tents lay a brutally ill-shaped high elfess that was cuffed by the legs up. She sat there, limp and unaware of Rasthi. At this time the three humans started to talk loud enough that Rasthi could hear. “Hah! It is mighty good that we caught’d this ‘ere high elf. We’ll put a paper with a knife in it at the next town sayin’…eh Jilbo what do you call it?” Spoke one bandit. Jilbo the other sat up and said, “A ransom, thas’ what ya call’s it. Good idea Rekko.” At this the third sat up and said, “Now you too shut it!” It isn’t gonna be so easy makin’ some town want someone for no reason. We don’t even know who she is.” They all turned and looked at their captive. “Eh! Who are you?” Rekko asked. The high elfess shook her head, showing she was bagged. “Maybe we should keep ‘er,” said the third one. “Ya know, I reckon that’s not a bad idea Shlipp,” Said Rekko. The three nodded and continued to talk. Rasthi stared at the poor elfess and wondered what he could do. She was caked in mud and bagged, so not much was to tell of her appearance. Rasthi felt mercy and crept back to his tree. He fetched a sack of sand and a jar of red ink. He also grabbed four sharp stones and some string. On his way out he grabbed a quiver and a longbow that was sitting at the door. Rasthi crept back to the campsite and carefully tied the string to a branch and then crept over to the other side of the camp when the three were so drunk they couldn’t tell someone was nearby. Rasthi tied the string to another branch opposite of the other. He attached the sack of sand to the wire of string and poured the red ink into a pouch and also tied it to the wire. The wire hung directly over the three oblivious, drunk and tired bandits. He quickly let go of the pouch and picked up his longbow. The pouch went down the wire right above Shlipp. Rasthi shot the arrow and it caused the bag to explode onto the three. The three looked confused and a second later Rasthi let go of the large sack of sand and let it fly down to the three. He shot another arrow and it exploded on them. “I can’t see! I can’t see!” Shouted Rekko. “Find out what’s going on!” Shouted Shlipp, but they incapable for they were temporarily blinded. “Who’s there?” Shouted Jilbo, for he heard Rasthi creeping into the campsite. “Where are you?” The three demanded. Rasthi stood identical to them from behind the fire. “Here.” He said. Not thinking, they ran at him and stumbled into their crude fire, alighting their clothes. “Fire! I’m on fire! Please help! “The three screamed and ran around rolling on the ground, unsure of where they were. Rasthi ran to the elfess and unbagged her. She had blue eyes and brown hair. “Where is the key to your chains?” Rasthi asked. Relieved, the elfess replied, “in the chest over in there.” She pointed towards a tent and Rasthi fetched the key. He un-chained her and beckoned her to follow. They crept from the campsite as the three cutthroats burned to death unable to cleanse the flames. Rasthi felt that their deaths were unneeded and irrational, but it was the only way. They ran to Rasthi’s tree and climbed up. She inched inside, but she collapsed, unconscious on the floor. The next morning she woke up in a bed with a pair of clothes, a tub, and a stew by her. Her wounds were treated. Rasthi was nowhere to be seen. She ate, bathed, and dressed, casting her rags outside. She wandered outside and found Rasthi planting wheat. “Ah, you are awake.” Said Rasthi and bowed. She nodded. “Thank you for saving me, but who are you?” She asked, and Rasthi answered. “I am Rasthi Quillwind, but I am unimportant right now. Who are you and why were you captivated by those ruffians?” At this she looked away and there was silence for the next minute. She then spoke, “I am Sirala Fairwood. I was with pilgrims setting out for Normandor. We were attacked by those bandits, except at that point there were 6. The Dagger Brothers they called them. They slew the men and took the women in two groups. I was in one group, and...” She stopped, for it was too emotional. She paused and began again, “The other group of 3 took my parents and some other pilgrims. “They took 3 elfesses and me in the group you defeated, but the other three simply gave up…living.” She stopped, for this was as much as she’d say. Rasthi stopped what he was doing, holding some wheat. “I do not have visitors, so please, stay.” Sirala stayed for weeks, then Rasthi knew the situation. One day while they were cooking, for she was a good worker, Rasthi asked, “Your family was killed at the road, weren’t they?” Sirala stared down. “They were in their 800s, so the bandits simply…killed them-We were happy when we arrived in Asulon, the travel was fair.” At this Rasthi remembered. “I remember you and your family. We were on the same boat. Kind people.” Sirala happily said, “It is good to have at least one person who I can say knows me!” They laughed at this. “You can stay here, if you want.” Rasthi said. “Thank you,” she replied. The two lived happily for years, for they were the same age and knew all of the events from the past. They grew to be great friends, and eventually fell in love. They planned to have a child, and so they did. Yet, on the day of the baby elf’s birth, came the revenge. It happened very fast. The three remaining Dagger Brothers came creeping into the whereabouts. Rasthi spotted them, and ran urgently back to the tree. He climbed up and looked at Sirala fearfully. “What is it?” She said, rocking the newborn. “The-the Dagger Brothers!” “We must hide the baby!” Sirala said nervously. “You can defeat them, can’t you?” Sirala asked. Rasthi shook his head. “They are larger and stronger than the other three. They are well armed and armored. I fear for the worst, for we cannot stay here. There is no time; pack our things while I grab supplies from the shed.” He said urgently. Sirala handed Rasthi the baby. “Take the young one, she is safer with you.” Rasthi nodded and stood, frozen. He then got to his senses and climbed down the tree. He ran with the child to the shed beside the river. He opened the door and at that second he heard a shrill scream from the tree. It was Sirala. Rasthi knew nothing could be done, and that the child would not survive the travel of escape. He looked around and noticed a basket and a cloth inside it. It was a basket used to collect herbs along the river. He set the baby, wrapped in cloth, in the basket. He walked to the river and looked at the baby. He tried to set her in the river, but he couldn’t. He heard the Dagger Brothers climbing down the ladder. He knew nothing could be done. Rasthi set the basket in the water and the soft stream took it towards in the direction that fared to a town. He turned, and saw the bandits and ran. He ran and ran, frightened and saddened more than he ever had. He knew not of Sirala’s fate or where he was heading. He just knew to run, and so he did. For 15 years. Rasthi knew that he should purchase a house, and so he headed in the direction of the Haelun’or College in which he had heard of at the cloud temple. Rasthi rested at the cloud temple, and prepares for the journey that is the next chapter of his life. What are your Character's ambitions?: To achieve status in Malinor as Royal Historian, to meet adventurers he has heard of in tales and songs, to join the Haelun’or college, and to find out what became of Jolon. Most importantly, to find his child. b]What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Rasthi favors a sword because of the ability to use one due to Jolon’s teachings. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Writing ]A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: hmmm. No. oh; He likes sweet things. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Trotting along, Rasthi looked towards the abuse and nodded ruthlessly. “Eh! Will you not give the one what he deserves! Or I will show you what you think I think you deserve!” The warriors laughed and glared at the elf. “Fine! You asked for it!” Rasthi reached into his pocket with such bravery and took it out, his hand clenched. “Hold out your hands!” The warriors obeyed as a joke. Rasthi opened his hand and two candied chestnuts fell out. “There! Now how do you feel?” The warriors looked Bewildered. Rasthi pushed lightly by them and handed the Halfling a candied chestnut. “Well then, let’s have a walk sir, shall we? Or would a ride on a tree suit you better? Er, right, trees are… are not riding things. Well then, come.” He beckoned the Halfling up and they walked. The Warriors’ bewilderment was already gone even before the halfling’s slow escape. One warrior brandished his blade and the other knocked Rasthi to the ground without even breaking a sweat. The other knocked Halfling to the ground when he or she tried to run away. The two warriors focused on searching the halfling’s pocket while Rasthi jammed a sharp rock into the neck of the warrior with a sword. He yelped with agony when another sharp rock when sailing into his face as he turned to see who had done so. Watching this, the other warrior unsheathed his axe and sent 2 swift thrashes towards Rasthi. Rasthi took one and dodged the other. He wasn’t wearing armor so this was fatal. Rasthi unsheathed his own sword for he knows he had to use it, but he only took it out of his belt halfway. The warrior with the axe and his friend with the sword both swung furiously, yet the only hit that was fulfilled was the bang of Rasthi’s hilt hitting each of the warriors knees, in which were unprotected. At this Rasthi ran off while the warriors were grabbing their legs, hopping around and hooting in anger. The Halfling was nowhere to be seen. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? “Oh hmm? I do wander like a boars tusks are long!” The merchant tries to sound convincingly pleased with the joke. “er, what is in the fine shop, hmm?” Asks Rasthi. “A bit of this an’ a bit o’ that.” Says the merchant. Rasthi forgets the conversation and notices how the stall is made of birch and how the man’s suit is blue. “hmm. Good sir your suit is quiet the blue and your stall is quiet the wood!” The merchant thanks Rasthi and asks what he will buy. “Buy? O-oh right! I will have a loaf of bread please. That is all.” The merchant hands Rasthi a loaf of bread. Rasthi hands the merchant the pay and walks off. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: ?: Rasthi stared inside, and thought, “tut tut, not why is this chest so empty?” He closed it and went on his way. Walking out, he realized what was inside. “Oh my, that chest was very dusty! Too bad.” He exclaimed, and continued trotting along. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Rasthi, in the state of starvation, sees a sack of cookies and walks over, reaching for a cookie. A trader slaps his hand. Rasthi jerks back yelping, obviously oblivious of what had happened. “You must pay such a thing, stupid boy, Says the Trader. Several nods and mumbling are passed around the camp. “I will pay for anything.” Says Rasthi. Rasthi hands the trader a few coins. The trader hands Rasthi a wooden jug of cheap wine. Rasthi, starved and thirsty, drank the jug fast and collapsed. He lay there minutes, or perhaps longer, until he finally got up. “You hazen’t got no cookies? Well. A cookies is’is over there eh? Eh?” Obviously drunk due to the strange combination of hunger delusion and a little alcohol, Rasthi reaches again for the cookies. The trader again slaps his hand. Rasthi yelps and pulls back. “Haz yeh no decency, you lollygaggin’ gahoof! I will slap your foot ifz you repandenduary…” Rasthi collapses, drunk and hungry. He wakes up hours later, with cookies in his pockets and the campsite gone. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: “I will lend a hand!” Says Rasthi. The guards all glance at each other and nod. “very well,” one says. “Will you lend a sword?” “No. but I will tell you this.” Rasthi told the guards of advice on ambushing such marauders. The guards pleaded Rasthi to come along. “Very well. But I am wary of this!” The guards thank Rasthi for the advice and assistance. They continue to ask around. b]Anything else you would like to say?: My application does not contain plagiarism. To do so is a crime to me and the server, also all who shun such an act. If you did not read the information that was needed revised in the last app team’s comment from my 2nd application, then it was because I needed to expand on Asulon. I have and that is done. Hopefully nothing else is in need of changing. Thank you for reading.

I am in advanced placement for English Literature. *shrugs* Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Well. I am prone to gain knowledge for fun, but I also have interests in Tang Su Do, Sailing,- this is isn’t important for an application. –Roleplaying is part of me. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: The Weekends. Hours in between these 2 days. During school time of course; then it varies on vacations (in a positive enhancement.) What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know that roleplaying is the act of acting out life in a video game (or in other times…) and sometimes things that cannot happen in the game so it is “*XXXXXX.*” To me it means enrichment to the game and what I love entirely in games. "Putting on another's shoes." What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I Roleplay in SWTOR, in the past I’ve RP’d in WoW, and I have played some Minecraft RP servers but they didn’t appeal to me, so I am sure LOTC will be the one. When I was little I Roleplayed on Roblox, a sandbox if your familiar with it. I prefer Fantasy RP to Sci-fi RP In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Using out-of-game info that you do not have in-game in your character’s knowledge. I don’t personally like it but if it is ever needed it is stated with brackets. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Usually stated with asterisks, very useful in roleplaying since actions or emotes sometimes are impossible so it is acted out. I personally like this feature of Roleplaying. Ex. *Tim heaved the melon onto the counter* Merchant: “oh! But melons are scanty in these lands. I’ll buy it. *hands Tim 45 coins* In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is: Your regular personality in gaming or otherwise when it is not RPing. Used when bracketing for something they missed in the scene but their character should know. Also used if your not even playing an RPG. In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is: Yourself in-game; your personality while roleplaying. This determines how you react to roleplaying in all categories. What do you expect this server will be like?: I’ve explored and I think it will be a well-organized roleplay. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: yes I agree to the rules Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Indeed. To think otherwise to a crime even to myself. How did you hear about us?: My own online research. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: I posted one by accident I believe. It is not important. I posted it about 7-10 months ago. In-Character: Character Name: Old Rasthi Quillwind the Historian (Old Rasthi for short) What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!: Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): High Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Rasthi is Old, even for elves. All who have met him think him ***** for living so long. Precisely 411. He is intensely senile and acts in such a way that is wise yet absurd and random at times. Due to this he does not remember much of his life and forgets often. Sometimes something someone said or something he sees will spark up a memory, which he will then mumble to himself or state to whoever is nearest. Rasthi is cheerful most of the time and never impatient. He has platinum hair and skin as high elves do. He prefers robes to pants and a shirt. His eyes are violet; a common trait in his bloodline. He will wander immensely when he is given the chance, looking for new herbs and plants. To those who know him from before his senility, he lived in Luarelin with his Mother and father long ago. From the time he could read to now he has collected books of various accounts and genres. He now lives in Normander writing and copying books, and collecting herbs. The Quillwinds are known for taking fancy in books and writing. To get these resources, Rasthi wanders, collecting all kinds of materials. As a high elf, he also enjoys herbalism and practices this often. He is called upon by those of all ethnic groups economic statuses for his advice on matters. When at an older age of 12 but still young and ruthless, an old man who Rasthi had seen in the market numerous times clanking along with armor and a standard sword. Jolon paid the mineas and beckoned Rasthi to come outside. Rasthi suspects he was mistaken of Jolon’s race at the time. He hasn’t seen Jolon since the days of living in Laurelin. What are your Character's ambitions?: To Achieve status in Malinor as Royal Historian. Also to meet adventurers and spend “vacations” with them on their journeys. Lastly, to find out what became of Jolon. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A sword What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: Writing Other Information about your Character: hmmm. No. oh; He likes sweet things. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: Trotting along, Rasthi looked towards the abuse and nodded ruthlessly. “Eh! Will you not give the one what he deserves! Or I will show you what you think I think you deserve!” The warriors laughed and glared at the old elf. Well then, come.” He beckoned the halfing up and they walked. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response: “eh, hmm? Oh I do wander like a boar’s tusks are long don’t I! well. I’ll have a loaf of bread and some cheese please. Hah! See that joke?” The merchant chuckled as if trying to sound convincing, and handed Rasthi the bread and small cut of cheese. “This cheese is very triangular, a good thing in cheese it is! Here’s for your good cheese.” Rasthi handed the merchant the pay and a few extra coins. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Rasthi stared inside, and thought, “tut tut, not why is this chest so empty?” He closed it and went on his way. Walking out, he realized what was inside. “Oh my, that chest was very dusty! Too bad.” He exclaimed, and continued trotting along. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: “Take this pouch and my jar of ink, or anything else, I just want that bottle of ale over there, oh and that sack of bread, and a cookie, many cookies, oh yes!” The merchant handed Rasthi two and a half cookies, and Rasthi ate these, and said, “know of any plants around here?” The merchant pointed around, and Rasthi chuckled. “Oh, goody I will eat my fill now; I forget this is a forest! Many vittles in the forest you know!” You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: “I will lend a hand!” Rasthi shouted over the crowd of concerned voices. The guards shook their heads, “How, Old Rasthi? You are too old.” Rasthi frowned. “If you will not let me swing a sharp thing, then fine, but let me tell you a phew possible ambushes to try…” He spoke skillfully, and the guards thanked him for his thoughts. Anything else you would like to say?: I think a senile old man who wanders occasionally and might do something like, “You look wary, here have a beef” to someone on the road would be a useful NPC RP to the server.
