  1. I currently captain a vessel but she is not one of war, I am willing to offer myself though for any non-combat rolls and my services to train those new to the sea. - Captain Emberhard
  2. Emberhard stops chatting with a random stranger, the word 'Laurelin' having caught his ears. He gives a warm smile and a slight bow out of respect. "Spoken like a true child of the old city."
  3. I fear my days past on LoTC outnumber those to come in the future.....

If this is about the DDoS downtime, be patient. We're working on getting anti-DDoS hardware.

  4. (( uhm.... What is the point of this post? No offense but the rp I see from here causes me to think that you might not be ready for a VA.. But I have always had a hard view on villains... Just saying!))
  5. (( I want to send you some ale, any chance you are rply somewhere a messenger boy or something might reach you?))
  6. I disagree because I made my char when all this high elf lore and such was not around, but that's just for me, my profile dose not say "old hat" but I have been playing emberhard for almost a year now and when I made him people could care less what sub-race of elf you were. (Or at least I think that was the case, as back when I was a newb, unfortunately I was a newb, and did not keep myself privy with the forums)
  7. Emberhard gives the paper a tap with the back of his fingers upon reading it "Ha! Now this gent has a point, I grow nostalgic for the might and wisdom of old Malinor. Hear hear!" He chants proudly looking about for other's agreement ((but you serriously have a point there, elves have kind of fallen off the far side of the earth compared to other races, seems like all we do anymore is get enslaved :/ ))
  8. I wish there was a better way to "Sail" my ship than having to bother a GM for a copy and paste every time

  9. ((hhmmmm... if only Ember were a dwarf....))
  10. Emberhard sits on the rigging of his soon to be complete ship some fifty feet up, he is busy attaching the last of the sails when a bird lands in front of him with a note in its mouth. After finishing one last knot he takes the letter, pleased to see it is from Titania his smile however quickly turns into a a strait face upon reading it. He scribbles a quick note on the back of the original and sends the bird back. Emberhard shimmies down the mast having finished the sails, he looks around in silence at his barely sea worthy vessel, she could sail right now if she needed to, and she did. He takes a glance to the west, the sun is starting to set and the silhouette of the grand tree barely visible. He takes a sigh and jogs down the gangplank taking the first of the building supplies on board and storing them in the un-finished cargo hold. The sun has fully set now and all the supplies are loaded. He takes one last glance at Holm, wishing that the maiden voyage could of taken place under batter circumstances. Emberhard runs from bow to aft releasing the mooring lines, the Keg drifts a few moments before he lets out the sails and runs back, taking hold of the wheel. He grips the wheel nervously, eyes darting around the ship as the sheets fill with wind and she lurches forward. Under the cover of night the Keg exits the waters of Holm with a lone sailor at the helm, a lucky citizen might have been able to see the silhouette of three triangle sails drifting over the horizon in the moon light, heading due south......
  11. *A note seemingly hastily scribbled and posted at the cloud temple reads: "I have in my possession a large trunk of leather wear, all in good condition however it is only Helms and tunics. Lightweight and perfect for combat on the move, selling in bulk 27 tunics and 27 helms, enough to keep a fighting force well stocked!" Starting bid: 250 Each bid must increase by: 50 let the leather flow ladies and gentleman...
  12. (( that awkward moment when Emberhard is an elf, and learned brewing from the dwarves))
  13. The Soggy Mustache Brewery *A long poster at the cloud temple reads, here is placed a large green spot, in the middle is a white handlebar mustache over a flask of frothing ale* ((hopefully I can get one made soon!)) We are opening the nozzles and letting the finely crafted brew that is the brain child of 400 years of brewing experience flow! Our own recipes: Emberhard's Cider, the fruitiest drink to make you wake up in a gutter! ((Flavor: apple cider that tastes a bit creamy vanilla, stings a bit as it goes down Effects: just slightly stronger than normal cider! Appearance: tan, clear fluid, traditionally served warm)) Years and prices per bottle: Year 32: 150 Year 35: 115 Year 38: 100 Year 42: 80 Year 45: 75 Year 48: 60 Year 51: 50 Redwood Whiskey, the brew that made drinking dangerous. ((Flavor: Smooth malty whiskey, aged in redwood barrels Effects: extremely strong, a gentleman's drink Appearance: Tan, clear, strong smell, contained in a tear-drop shaped bottle)) Years and prices per bottle: Year 32: 125 Year 35: 100 Year 38: 85 Year 41: 70 Year 44: 55 Year 50: 45 Titania's Whiskey, not for the light hearted or weak willed (( Flavor: much like redwood whiskey but a bit fruity, a slightly sour taste that is more like a small electric charge Effects: Very minor healing capabilities, mostly appearing as an energy boost, can be slightly addicting, and another interesting effect that I will go no further in explaining than as "weak-medium strength dirty love potion" Appearance: A slow, pulsing crimson glow luminates the whole drink hypnotizingly fading in and out, red particles appear glowing over the lid that tickle the face of the drinker.)) This ale can not be stored, it MUST be drank immediately after brewing. Prices per glass: 250 The Dwarfish Pickaxe, its called that because en-experianced drinkers feel like they took one to the head after one sip. ((Flavor: Basically a VERY irish coffee Effects: energy, extreme drunkenness Appearance: A very dark liquid, normally served in a flask)) This ale dose not get any better or worse with age. Price per flask: 100 Price per small keg: 300 Price per large keg: 1000 Nectar Wine, the most widely used elven pain killer ((Flavor: very sweet grape wine Effects: it is possible for elves to get a bit of a sugar high from it, other than that its just really sweet wine Appearance: perfectly clear but with a light green tint to it)) Years and prices per bottle: Year 32: 140 Year 35: 115 Year 38: 100 Year 42: 80 Year 45: 75 Year 48: 60 Year 51: 50 To get these fine spirits send a bird to the master brewer Emberhard ((emberhard)) Or visit the brewery located in Ursakar. ((can also leave a bit down in the reply area)) More brews to come later friends! Look for other posters! ((Unfortunately due to the recipie for wine being busted I am a bit limited, don't be surprised if I run out of stock!)) We will buy flasks for 40 a piece and bottles from experienced glass blowers for 35 a crate! Also willing to buy interesting ingredients from anyone willing to try a crazy experimental ale, prices negotiable!
  14. ((Ah yes! Makes much more sense lol, strike that then...))
  15. hhhmmm, perhaps we should see about using the test/build server as a training arena for the champions....
  16. The Asulon Brewer's Tourney event form: MC Name: emberhard Name: Emberhard Do you have IC, and OOC training of how to RP Brewing? I have very much IC experience in brewing, In fact in this october I would have been Rping brewing for a year with Ember. OOC, well as much as I would like to have a micro brewery in my backyard alas, I do not. Are you certain? Yes. Will you be bringing [wine/ale/whatever else] In item form to this event: Well that depends on my mood at the time, perhaps a fine, ancient whiskey or bourbon.... or perhaps one of my own recipes that don't quite have a classification!
  17. "Ember marketing" Eh? why was I not informed of this? *he egotistically and jokingly asks*
  18. Emberhard exits his gate all packed up for some errand or another, he spots the invitation on the ground right before the entrance. He briefly looks about for the messenger as he brakes the seal and removes the letter, A smiles smears across his face upon reading it, but just as quickly as it appeared its gone as Ember rolls his eyes and carelessly tosses the letter over his shoulder and continues on his way, spouting all manor of curses and foul language. The letter had arrived too late.... ((so sorry I did not make it, I just now found this post! You should have told me IC! Just looking at the guest list! All the old faces that I missed...oh yes...and the wedding of course.))
  19. Emberhard suddenly sits strait up in bed with a gasp and in a cold sweat "A friend is in need of ale!" he worriedly half whispers to himself wide eyed and thoughtfully. (( you don't have to take this seriously, I am just having my fun))
  20. Going off of what is mentioned up thar, I would not be against the crafting percentages completely removed, but I would like to see the odds greatly improved. more ideas to come when I think of some, more so just getting a spot in before this gets flooded I would like to hear more about this first aid skill...As I am not quite sure about "food no longer healing you" thing, I would be for it, if say a low level would be able to slowly (lets say at the current rate food heals you) heal themselves, while a high level may heal themselves and others very effectively (your health-bar goes ludicrous speed and turns plaid). I would be for it like that, on the other hand, I see no need for those to realy be added, as from what I have seen the community already dose a pretty decent job at RPing injury and medics.
  21. Bism.....My eyes..... its beautiful! *completely brakes down But in all seriousness now that is some brilliant artwork, boy do I know some settlements who will want to get their name on that thing.
