  1. House Reyne

Lord Pypar Reyne awaits the Gardener's reply about the marriage proposal. His spymaster informs him of the successful Lannister rumors. "Now to push harder," he says. "The Rock will be mine before my time is done. You mark my words." Pypar continues spreading rumors, worse ones now, for another 100 Dragons. "I'll have Houses on my side when the battle comes," he explains. "If all goes well, I'll have the Gardeners beside me."

  2. House Reyne

House Reyne: A poweful and rich house. A house whose pride is only shadowed by the Lannisters. Sensing war approaching, Lord Pypar Reyne spends 300 Dragons in search of recruits for his army. Searching for a new political ally, he sends a message to the Gardeners inquiring about a marriage proposal between Lord Pypar's daughter Myranda and King Mern's brother Willas. He believes it to be a reasonable proposal, being one of the most powerful houses in the Westerlands. Finally, he spends 150 Dragons to spread rumors of sinister activity among the Lannisters, careful to not be known as the one who began them. "Sick of them Lannisters diminishing the Reyne pride... simply a cat of a different coat..." he mutters.

    House/Faction: House Reyne

Starting military strength (keep it reasonable): 1500 men

Short history (completely optional): The Reynes of Castamere are one of the most powerful, wealthiest houses in the Westerlands besides only the Lannisters.

And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low? Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know. In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws, And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours. And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere, But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear. Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.

Sorry can I make that 15,000 men?

  5. ((After I play Kwint for awhile, and get the Merchants Guild back together I'm probably going to kill him off and play his bastard son (a bastard's bastard). I'd like to play a more religious, beadmancy character with no limbs. If possible, I think you might need hands. Kwint probably would have taught him beardmancy so he can walk around with his beard. Unless, of course, you need hands... He'll also have an interesting mother who I'm going to keep a secret. I'd like it if in 4.0 the Beardic Cult was more integrated with Irongut culture. I also think our lore should be expanded upon. That's about all I can think of at the moment.))

  6. Suddenly feeling the need to show how Urguan's various guilds interact and aid the community in order to inspire more guild membership (particularly in the Merchant's Guild), Grand Merchant Kwint Irongut sketches a diagram and posts it on the Kal'Arkon notice board.

How the Guilds of Urguan Interact

Smiling at his work, Kwint remembers to add a small note below:

PAY YOUR TAXES AND JOIN THE MERCHANT'S GUILD

Satisfied, Kwint strides back to the Merchant Guild Hall to count coins all by himself.

    Urguan’s New Tax System

Finally the day has arrived! That is correct: Tax Day. The new tax system is finally complete. This poster will detail how your Kal’Arkon home and shop taxes can be paid.

If you are not aware, these are the current tax rules set in place:

    Taxes

The purpose of taxes is to create a stable, constant source of income for

the benefit of the kingdom. All dwarves, and non dwarves living within the border of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan are required to pay a tax to the Grand Merchant every other elven week, who then deposits it in the Kingdom Vault.

    -Arkon-

Currently, all taxes within Arkon follow the prices stated below.

Houses: All houses within the city have had their square meters counted and organized. Please note that upper levels are included in these counts, as well as areas obstructed by chests, furnaces, and other similar objects. Stairs have not been counted. Houses 1-20 meters squared are 80 minas, 21-40 meters squared are 100 minas, 41-60 meters squared are 120 minas, 61-80 meters squared are 140 minas, and 81-100 meters squared are 160 minas. All owners of houses 101 meters squared to 150 meters squared must pay 180 minas. All houses between 151 meters squared and 200 meters squared must pay 220 minas. All houses above 300 meters squared must pay 280 minas. Dwedmar are allowed to own as many homes as they wish, but are expected to pay

    for them all.

Shops: All shops within the city cost 50 minas in tax every other elven week. All shop owners are required to join the Merchant’s Guild. Dwedmar are allowed to own as many shops as they wish, but are expected to pay

    for them all.

Once again, taxes are paid every other week. Paying taxes it simple. Follow these easy steps:

    1. Find the Taxation Center by turning left after entering the city until you come across this building...

    2. Enter the Taxation Center and follow the white carpet to the Taxation Paper Room shown here...

    wKFJDZf.png

10 Mina, 50 Mina, and 100 Mina Papers are available.

If you are unaware what your tax is, look here and find your chest(s). The homes and shops have been organized with the number system of the dwedmar. ((Found here.)) It should say the number of minas worth is tax papers you need...

    3.  When you have the correct tax papers, go back down and place them in the corresponding chest(s).

    4. You are all done! Taxes are paid.

Notice: If you do not pay your taxes, you will be given a warning ((a dirt block in your chest)). You will have to pay double the amount next time. If you do not pay the next time you will be evicted.

((Also please know that whatever you place in the chests you will not be able to take out, so be careful.))

    ((Taxes are due April 26.))
