Character Name: -Branloren (The Iron Smith)
What is your Race?:-Dwarf
Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):-
(History)-Branloren’s family line was rarely known amongst the dwarf’s. They were always in solitude, but they fled into deep solitude after Iblees had cursed the four races, and his family had become ashamed with what they had become. Although, they still had their pride as his family were master smiths with the metal…iron, and they had used it to create many of their things. Branloren was never much like his father though, generations had passed, and Branloren was always a bit…odd, he was good with iron, but he never wanted to become a master as his curiosity brought him to engineering. Much of his family had never learned such a thing, and it required Branloren to lift his solitude un-like his family, but such a thing enraged his father, him and the rest of the family never exactly liked leaving their large mountain and great forge, it was all they knew, but Branloren wanted to know more, he wished to know the art of redstone and how he could use it with iron to accomplish much more! At that time, Branloren had reached the age of twenty seven…and it was near to the four races leaving Aegis. He had heard of this, but his father didn’t want anything with it…and thus, he himself brought the families pride and forge to a dead end. Before the day every race left, a mass of Undead had swept in, much of the times Branloren and his family had fended them off, but this time it was different, the undead had surprised an attack un-like never before. Bran had to decide…should he stay, and fall with their families forge, or shall he leave for the major city of the dwarves and leave Aegis? It was a difficult decision as he loved the forge like his father, but his mother…a much more reasonable one had urged Bran to leave just as the Undead were about to break through to their cavern, and he did what he was begged for, he gathered his father’s hammer and a few clothes along with mead and food, and he left their home. As he gathered a safe distance, he turned to look back, but all he saw was the horror’s of the undead, tearing down the forge and making it collapse their home forever. Such a sight stabbed a stake through his heart, as he knew he was now the last of his family…and just that dreaded him, he was the last and he was only the last cause he abandoned his family. As sorrow and humiliation fell over Bran like a dark cloud, he had wished to keep his past secret, especially his family name, keeping to the one thing they did and that was secrecy of their line and name, for that was their way. It took Bran awhile to reach the dwarves, and he still had time to re-cope before they left…as seeing such a city in the depths of the earth was all new…especially seeing new people. He kept to himself though, mainly stayed in taverns and never bothered to speak to anyone as the thoughts of the Undead invading kept replaying, haunting him till he couldn’t take it. Bran believed that if he left Aegis, with his kin that it would go away, lift the haunting memorries as he could start new and fresh in a great civilisation! Bran had left with the other dwarves, and he rarely helped with anything to prepare, still not ready for the contact, but he believed he would soon, and he kept to that to keep himself going with a bottle of mead.
(Appearance)-Most times Branloren will wear thick, fire resistant clothing, and with his jacket he has a specialy made hood that he covers over his head when working with hand made goggles to protect his eyes when needed. Most times these goggles will be wrapped around his forehead with thick, black leather gloves that cover all of his hands, but they’re also clipped to the cuffs of his jacket to almost make it air tight. His skin is a light tone from being underground almost all his life, but it seems to almost have a stoney texture. Like most dwarves, Bran is short, but he also has a gut from his years of drinking, but most of his body complexion is firm and chiselled with almost a rough feel. His shoulders are broad with large hands that are almost swollen from his work in the forge, and his father’s hammer is almost always strapped to his back, both used as a weapon and a tool. His eyes are a unusual stone grey, only the pupils, the rest is white like usual, but his pupils stand out. His beard and hair is a thick jet black, usualy coarse and rough to feel from his days of work, and some can even tell his beard has been burnt several times from accidents in the forge. Strapped across his shoulders are iron shoulder guards, they’re rather large and bulky, but they offer the protection needed for a dwarf, and his boots are made of iron as well, mainly capped with thick leather on the insides of it. Under his jacket is a rough linen undershirt, torn in various spots, and it is only shown when his jacket is un-strapped and buckled.
(Personality)-Of course from Bran’s past, he’s become ashamed of running, and he rarely likes to speak of such an event to other’s in fear, but it is also hard to gain his trust securely after his solitude days, and most times he will like to sit in the quiet corner of a bar with a large mug of mead and a book. Another thing that has made Bran what he is from his past is his stubbornness to NOT run ever again from a fight, whether the odds are 1-10, he will stay and try to fight till he died in honor. Of course, to those few who would’ve gained his trust, they would see that he always enjoys a drink with them, laughter and tales of the previous wars, and he always remains loyal to help them in whatever way necessary.
Your characters ambitions:-Branloren hopes to be accepted into a smith’s guid of some sort, but he also wishes to explore the uncharted land of Asulon. He also hopes to rebuild a home for himself.
Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?-Bran stops suddenly as he catches a glance at the elf struggling with the two bandits, and he almost froze, not knowing what he was supposed to do in this kind’ve situation…it almost reminded him of home, should he run? And not be noticed, or should he stay and fight the bandits. He quickly nods to himself, before pulling out a large iron sword and one stick of dynamite, and he soon charges over to the group, managing to let out a cry of battle with a grin on his face, it felt good, charging into battle once again and he swung his sword sharply at the bandits in defense of the elf!- “Back ye robbers! Back to ye miserable lives or I’ll quickly end it!”
Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?- -Bran looks at the owner with weary eyes…his trust with this particular person was never tested, and he managed to speak- “Oh…uhmm, ye got any ale or…tools for a forge?” –Bran’s voice seemed shaken still from his past, but he atleast managed to consult some people-
