Smoke is seen standing in a straight and still position before Varlan's grave. His eyes focused on the words carved on the tombstone. Nonchalantly, he looks to the cloudy skies, simultaneously sighing.

"Var, out of all the ways to die, this is how it ends for you?" He chuckles. "It really is unfair... I'm going to miss you, old friend..."

Turning back around to the entrance of Ac'Talareh, Smoke strides off. His eyes not widening one bit.

1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design,

strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

I first take a peek inside of the ruin, and explore before going back and telling the others about my discovery. I gather a party to search the ruins for anything interesting. I then split up,with one or two people to see what is causing the lights and sounds,while the others continue looking around. 

 

 

2.)While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures

in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out

what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".

I move a bit closer to the figures,close enough to hear their conversation. After they leave,I follow them if I hear they are heading to the artifact.I make sure to sketch the artifact,along with writing down any information I heard about it before showing the other Delvers the sketch,and telling them about the conversation I had "overheard".

 

 

3.)Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a

masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a

necromancer.

I unsheath my own sword,pointing it at the man who is threatening the figure. I first tell him to put his sword away.After he does so, I would ask him if he has any evidence for this. After listening,if I find the evidence plausible, I turn on the necromancer. I probably would first attempt to kill him,but have someone hold me back like usual...If I think the man is wrong ,I would most likely spit at his feet,and tell him to leave the hooded man alone,before I kick his ass. 

Smoke takes the application and proceeds to read it, his eyes rolling and scanning - one would assume he was skimming the application, but I digress. He chuckles for a moment and sits down on his chair. He writes back to the applicant.

"I was surprised at your application. Usually we don't have many females around the Guild who would volunteer for the role of Delver Vigilant. And since you asked for the position, so you shall have it. Welcome to the Delvers. We hope you put your sword to great use."

He stamps it.

Master Assassin, have been one for over 120 years.  I am a master

with throwing weapons and adept with a bow. I tend to avoid close range combat

as much as possible. If I can’t avoid it I merge combat styles between my

Katana and my Knives. I would consider myself a decent swordsman, however not

great. I use my Katana for one swift motion only as it was made, before switching

to my knives.

         I Approach cautiously unsheathing two throwing knives one in

each hand. As I enter the ruins, I check the ground for any possible covered

traps. If I make the conclusion that there are none I proceed cautiously. I

follow the sounds, hoping to find some bandits or looters to fight off. If I do

not find any then I continue to look around for my own loot instead. If time

passes with miniscule discovery then I leave the ruins taking nothing.

         I slowly edge myself closer to them at first, trying to hear

better.  I step closer to them looking

away and mutter. “You know it is dangerous to speak of such artifacts around

here.” Not knowing if the artifact is dangerous or not taking a gamble hoping

to gain the ability to blackmail. The two hooded figures look at me, one has a

more nervous face the other worried. Stuttering a bit the worried man says “Yo…you

won’t say a thing!” He says angrily but still quiet. I respond fast. “I’ll

spread the word all through Anthos if you do not tell me!”  The two hooded men step closer and give me

the information I wanted, about a hidden artifact underground. One which

apparently gives you the powers of a Shade. I quickly return to the delvers and

report the artifact immediately.

 

 

 

 

 

3.)Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a

masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a

necromancer.

 

            I am walking along the trees as usual, and I look down upon the

man trying to get his attention. I grab a small branch and drop it next to him,

the man with the sword looks up at me and shouts. “Can’t ye see what I’m

dealing with ere! This man is a Necromancer!” 

Face palming a bit thinking that this fool believes any word someone

says I climb down the tree and unsheathe two throwing knives aimed for the man

with the sword. “Well now it is two against one!” I shout with a bit of a

chuckle “I suggest you leave now mister.” The man with the sword grunts knowing

he has no chance against a Necromancer and someone with two knives he sheathes

his sword angrily and turns walking away. I then approach the hooded figure and

say “Now… you don’t look much of a Necromancer, you shouldn’t lie about stuff

like that, it will only get you hurt.” The hooded man quickly stutters saying “Bu

..But I..Am!” I wave my hand a bit and turn and walk off hoping he has learned

his lesson.

Smoke stares at the application with an arched brow. He simply exhales before sitting back in his desk, replying to the applicant.

Tempest is very skilled in the brawler like fighting style, he has his own claw like weapons that he uses in combat, and he finds them very effective with his fighting style.

Tempest would slowly enter then massive ruin, looking around as he grabs a notebook and starts to write down the mystical occurences with his quill, as he goes further into the light of the massive ruin he nods, standing at his spot to write down as many recognizable things as he then puts his note book away, not able to see anything further he could investigate because he has no far knowledge of the mystical, he would go back to the guild hall and get another Delver to come with him so they can explore the ruins together.

what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".

 

Tempest would inch closer to them, unsuspectedly going to the bar to "order a drink" and then back off against the wall which is closer to them . He would listen to the conversationship they are having, eavesdropping on them as they continue to talk about the "artifact" He slowly and stealthily gets out his notebook and begins to write keynotes in the book with his quill, if he thinks he has gathered enough information he would then start his investigation, going to the place the men described to see if it is safe, if so he would go back to the Delver guild hall to get some more Delvers to come with him, if it was some sort of lie or trap he would either just leave or stealthily get himself out of the sticky situation he got himself in.

 

 

3.)Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a

masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a

necromancer.

 

Tempest would walk over to the man with the sword, reassuringly putting a hand on his shoulder, and he would try to figure out the situation. If the man claims to be a Necromancer, which he is, he might be a possible thread for everyone, though Tempest would not encourage the man to kill the Necromancer, he would tell the man to turn and walk away. As the man walks Tempest  would try to get information out of the Necromancer, Where they live, what he does and why he is here, All the information that he can get he writes down in his notebook. When he is done he tells the Necromancer to never return and simply walks away, informing the Delvers about his newly gathered information

Smoke takes the application and scans through the text. He slowly nods, clearly interested in the participant. He stamps it.

I would enter, checking the area for bandits, looters, or monsters. Then follow the sounds and light. Sneaking around incase anything dangerous may be contained within the cave. Looting any spoils and making sure to eliminate all threats with the equipment I have with me. Heading home after I had finished said duties.

Wait for the two shady men to leave the bar, following them stealthily to the location and making sure to stay hidden from view. Entering wherever said artifact may be and attempting to ****** it from the shady figures and escape as hastily as I could. Hurrying back home to stash it away with the rest of my treasures, or turn it into a higher official.

Drawing my longsword I approach the two, standing behind the fellow with the sword I would say "What are you doing to that man.." as the armed man turns to me, I step back in case he tries to attack. "None uf yah business puffy!" the armed man yells, the hooded man claiming he was a necromancer slowly starts to back up. As I keep the armed man distracted with petty insults and argumentative speech. As the 'necromancer' escapes I sheathe my sword, starting to walk away I say "Do what you want with him." The armed man glares at me and turns around to see that the hooded man had fled. Frustrated he yells at me as I start to run back to base.

What combat skills have ye?  I am an elderly man, hitting 76 years of age soon. Though in my youth, I was a little scalawag  and I was always dueling my friends. One day we were attacking by some nasty, cruel man who wanted our armor, we had our way with him, and he was soon dealt with. I may not be as good as I use to be, but I can still handle myself.

Well of-course, I would pull out my journal, and start taking notes, and I would attempt to draw what I would see. I would sniff the air, I would want to explore every inch of the place. Of course I would be weary, I wouldn't just stumble upon a ruin, and not expect some danger of any sorts. First I would check for an interesting light, or maybe I would suck on my finger and check if their is a draft of wind, or maybe a stream flowing though the ruin. If there was a stream, then I would follow it, from my past adventures great, wonderful things have been found at the end of a stream. Though, I would have to jot down some landmarks and key points in my journal as I don't want to be getting lost do I. I may take a few samples of rock, and ore maybe some herbivore, if there is any around. You never know what new and interesting things will be around you!

Well, I would be rather frightened yes. I am an elderly man, I may still have a little fight in me, but these two look mysterious. I would be excited though.. Maybe I would try and strike up a conversation and slowly try and leak information away from them slyly, of course. I wouldn't go up and be blunt, that would be dangerous. I would slowly try and ween information from them.

What much could I do, I am elderly. Though don't get me wrong! I am useful, please don't think.. Oh he is a waste of space, he's an old man, just give him a year and he'll die anyway! I may be old but I am useful and resourceful! What I would do is I would stay and listen in, maybe learn a little bit of information about the believed to be 'necromancer'  then I would go and find help, if I find none then I would try and talk the man out of what he is doing. As violence is never the answer unless it is absolutely needed.

In the midst of the forest near Ac'Talareh, Smoke is seen swinging and thrusting his blades in a patterned manner. With two sickle-like weapons on each hand he carves at the tree barks, laying nothing but scars on the skin. The sickle-weapons are attached to each other via a chain linked to the bottom of each handles. After a while of doing the same thing, Smoke paused for a moment and loitered on the trees for a while, lifting his head up to the sky.

"Getting rusty, eh?" he seems to say to himself after giving off a sigh.

He gets back into a battle-phased position, looking to start continuing his training. He reaches for his waist-belt swiftly, he takes out a throwing knife. He pivots his position approximately 45* degrees left, the throwing knife on right hand now being prepared to launch as he contracts said arm, gaining the momentum he needs to land a successful throw. He attempts a swing and the knife, as expected by him no less, stuck out of the body of a nearby tree, giving off a small vibration whilst doing so.

Smoke returns to his lazed posture and exhales, his head now looking down. "Maybe... Not."

Smoke is cross-legged above the Delver Ruins of Ac'Talareh watching over the lush, green and windy atmosphere. As he looks out all he is able to see are a bunch of trees left alone and untouched by industrialization. On his right hand are three applications, each different in contrast by both formality and parchment color. He sifts through them, eyeing them carefully.

After a while, he takes out a feather and writes out the replies, sending each of the applicants three small birds with messages attached to them.

I peek inside seeing if anyone is there, if so I back away without a second thought, if not and there is something else, such as a mystical being. I stalk it, studying it in every given way. I write my findings down to share the knowledge. If the creature sees me as a threat and attacks I use it to my advantage and see how it reacts to certain situations, for example: I run across a fallen tree to get across a river. I will watch to see what the beast does to continue it's pursuit. When I return to my home, I share the knowledge and adventure.

I do nothing. Knowing they are hooded, I assume they have weapons. I would ask about it, but it would seem as if I was eavesdropping. I, myself would rather avoid making enemies and get as many connections as possible. I like having possibilities, If I were to consult them, it is obvious they would react in a negative way. Otherwise they wouldn't be whispering and hooded. I do wait for them to return, if I see a change in their personalities, appearance, popularity or any other visible thing that would give me a hint as to them changing completely, I consult them about it.

I distract the man while the other escapes. I would rather myself be put in danger then others. I challenge the "Necromancer" to show me his magic, I insult him and mock him bravely until he proves it. If he is a necromancer, I step down from the fight and run, if he isn't I simply mock him until he is too discouraged to fight back. I keep my cool even if he puts the sword to my throat. If he looks like he will do it, I use a distraction and point to my right while saying "Guards! Their coming!". As soon as the man drops his focus from he I attempt to unsheathe my own weapon and fight.

"Sorry. You are not what we are seeking. We are not in need of applications from those who wish to become prodigies or students. You are hereby DENIED."

I would quickly strap on mah armour and ready my weapon, and head inside. If teh ruins seems small, I'd probably continue on mahself. But if it seems big, I'd go find some otheh delvehs and tell dem about it, and request der 'elp exploring the crypt.

Smoke is seen sitting down, legs straight using a pillar to support his back. His arms are hunched over his head, his eyes peering the room as if analyzing  any suspicious differences and hoping not to find anything wrong. Sadly, he himself could feel an empty feeling. He continues to ponder, tapping his mask to continue concentrating, and the footsteps of the delvers crossing the path where he sat was not helpful one bit. He performs tricks with his knife on his right hand, twisting and turning it as if it were designed to, and with his left hand, he strokes the tip of his garbed chin.

His eyes were closed for a moment, suddenly narrowing them after lifting his head back up as if he had an epiphany.

"Does it have something to do with a bandana?" he said to himself.
