Out-Of-Character
Minecraft Account Name:
Hecktix
How old are you?:
17
Time-Zone/Country of Residence:
EST, Canada
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:
Yes I have a good grip of the English language as it's the only language I can speak fluently. I sometimes consider myself a bit of a grammar nazi because I always try to use good grammar in everything I do.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:
I am a video game enthusiast and I have an intermediate knowledge of computers. I've been playing Minecraft since it was in the beta stages and I have played on a few other servers. I am a friendly person who is easy to get along with and I don't consider myself a complete roleplaying noob either.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?:
I can spend 1-2 hours on weekdays and 2+ hours on weekends so I would estimate around 10 hours weekly.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:
Roleplaying is when someone creates a role to portray, whether it be in a video game or some other setting, that allows them to be someone completely different. It is an escape from reality and a form of creative expression. The creativity and impact of a role is directly related to the effort put into that role.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:
I have had some experience in roleplaying, but I am by no means an expert. I said in one of the previous questions that I am not a roleplaying noob because I have had enough experience to understand the basics of roleplaying like what OOC and IC mean. If you count RPG games, I have played World of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls games, and RuneScape. I have also participated in a very organized and well structured Harry Potter roleplay on another game not related to Minecraft.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:
Metagaming is when someone uses knowledge they are not meant to be aware of in their IC actions. This knowledge usually comes from somewhere OOC and it creates an unfair advantage in the roleplay because that specific character is meant to acquire their knowledge realistically. An example would be if a character broke into a secret meeting being held in a secret location that their character would not have known about.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:
Powergaming is when a character roleplays an action against another player without letting that other player react. For example, a character runs up to someone and stabs them directly in the heart killing them. This is an unrealistic action and it didn't give the other character a chance to defend themselves.
What do you expect this server will be like?:
I expect that this server has a lot of quality roleplayers and that the roleplay environment is rich and detailed. I expect to get as much out of this server as I put into it, meaning low effort equals low reward.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
I have played on two other servers. The first one I played on was Buxville. I had a great time on Buxville for the 4 months that I was on it but I decided to leave because it became monotonous and boring. I also didn't like many of the changes made by the Admin and it started to feel like a chore to log on. The second server I played on was Minecraft Middle Earth. These are the people that are attempting to make an accurate reconstruction of Middle Earth in Minecraft. I passed their application process and joined their server thinking I would like the building/creative aspect of recreating Middle Earth but it turned out to be very boring. They have a much smaller community than this one and their wasn't enough activity on the server to keep me engaged.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:
Yes I have.
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:
Yes I do.
How did you hear about us?:
I had previously seen your server advertised on Minestatus and I saw your forum thread on the Minecraft Forums which lead me to your Youtube trailer video.
Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?:
Yes I have voted on Minestatus. Here is a screenshot:

Character Name:
Dungrave Ironbeard
What Race are you?:
Dwarf
What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):
Mountain Dwarf
Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
Dungrave Ironbeard is the first and only son of Dundain and Ilga Ironbeard. The Ironbeards were a small family that lived in the dwarf kingdom of Kal'Urguan. Their ancestry dates back to the early times of Aegis, when Dwarves founded Kal'Urguan. Over the centuries, the Ironbeards have been recognized as skilled blacksmiths, talented warriors, and humble farmers. Never having too many kids, the Ironbeards kept their lineage tight, making sure to always have someone to carry the family name. The typical Ironbeard has a light complexion and dark eyes. They have long, thick beards, silvery grey in color. They are sturdy and strong, but skilled with their hands. Naturally, Dungrave fits the typical Ironbeard look, resembling his father more than his mother. The Ironbeard name comes from the first known dwarf in the Ironbeard clan. His name was Durin Ironbeard and it is said that he helped construct Kal'Urguan. Durin had a long, silvery grey beard which resembled that of iron. His friends gave him the name Ironbeard in reference to it. Dungrave was raised to follow the values of his family which include hard work, honesty, and loyalty. Dungrave is a very motivated and helpful Dwarf, but he is also stubborn. He takes pride in his work and he has the perseverance to make it perfect. He is courageous and never lets his fellow Dwarves down. He is smarter than the average Dwarf but loves everything other Dwarves do. This includes good ale, good food, and a good battle. At a young age, his father taught him how to wield an axe, and he has become rather proficient with it.
Dungrave grew up in an upper middle class family, and he had a relatively normal childhood. His mother was a humble baker who worked in a shop her family used to own. Her family were well respected around the kingdom and when she married an Ironbeard it was no surprise. Dungrave's father was a skilled blacksmith who ran his own business. The shop even had a small contract with the Dwarven Legion to provide weapons and armor for the soldiers. Throughout his childhood, Dungrave learned about many things dwarves do, like mining, excavating, crafting, and even farming. His father also taught him many things like how to wield an axe and how to impress a lady. In his younger years, Dungrave worked at a tavern where he served ale to the locals. He also split his time between his mother's bakery and his father's blacksmithing shop. His father decided to enlist with the Dwarven Legion due to the impending threat on Kal'Urguan from the Undead armies. Dungrave was set to take over the family blacksmithing business when disaster struck. Dundain Ironbeard died protecting Kal'Urguan from the Undead. He was laid to rest among many other fallen Dwarves and his death left Dungrave and his mother shattered, not knowing how to move on with life. Ilga Ironbeard spiraled into a crushing depression and When Kal'Urguan fell, she could not take it anymore. She killed herself with her husband's axe and left Dungrave to fend for himself. At this point, Dungrave was a young adult and had learned to live on his own. He was able to take care of himself and he found his way onto one of the many boats leaving for Asulon. He remembered all the things his father taught him and he vowed to honor him in everything he does. At the age of 90, Dungrave has great ambitions and he hopes to make his father proud.
What is your Character's ambitions?:
Dungrave hopes to first establish himself in Asulon by finding a home and a good job. He wants to explore the blacksmithing trade as his father was a skilled blacksmith. He also wants to work on a farm because he appreciates nature and the hard work that goes into farming. As a long term goal, Dungrave wants to join some sort of guild, whether it be the Dwarven Legion or something else. He wants to follow in his father's footsteps and help defend the Dwarven kingdom from attack. Throughout his life he has always been interested in politics so if the opportunity arises, he wants to pursue it.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):
Dungrave's favorite tool is by far his axe. His father was a blacksmith who made many things including fine axes and he taught him how to use it at a young age. Dungrave's mother also took her own life with an axe so it has a lot of significance in Dungrave's life.
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?
Dungrave has always been a talented crafter. Whether this has something to do with his ancestor helping construct Kal'Urguan or being around his father as a blacksmith remains to be seen. He has learned how to maniuplate various minerals and materials to craft a variety of things. Maybe it has something to do with him being a Dwarf.

Other Information about your Character:
Dungrave has a particular liking towards nature, which is very uncharacteristic of a Dwarf. Perhaps the light spirit of his mother has influenced him.
