Give a definition of what it means to you.:Roleplaying is a time where a person can step in someone elses shoes and live a different life that is not normally theirs. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.Powergaming is this: Say I walk up to a traveler and say *shoots arrow through his head and he explodes a painful death* It wouldn't give the other person a chance to react. You need to do something that allows the person to have a reaction such as: *pulls out bow* then the person could *runs away* or *pulls out sword*. Metagaming would be like if you walk into a town you have never seen before and see person with a King skin. You walk up to him and say "Hail King Finigan!" You used outside resources such as the name above his head to figure out his name even though your real charactor would have no clue what the king's name was. What do you expect this server will be like?:I expect it to be a pleasant experience in which I reveal a part of myself I have never seen before. It will be a thing I can come home to after a long day of school and release my stress and belong to a community. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have been on many less popular servers with my friends such as Choascraft and betteranarchy. They were good when I could play with my friends but they lacked the sence of community this server seems to have. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:I have read the rules in great detail. They are well thought out and understandable. Without them their would be much more violence. I am glad that they are in place. How did you hear about us?:Originally I heard of the server from Potatoorgy. After watching his video I looked it up and researched and desided I would apply. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:My account name is WafflesFTW In-Character: Character Name:My name is Elros Mithrandír. What Race are you?:I am proud Elf. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):I am not apart of any sub-race. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Elros is tall, thin, and athletic. He has no father figure in his life and he has to do hard work 20 hours a day. He does many random jobs that supply any amount of money so he can provide for his family. He is 17 years of age. His long weary days have caused him to grow old on the inside. This trait makes him a hardy young man that does what he has to do to make sure his loved ones surrive. One day while doing his daily duties he spotted an old man out in barren the barren wasteland he calls home. He realizes the man may be in trouble he suddenly bolts over to the man to see if he was ok. The man wore a hood that covered his identity. Elros gets his attention and realizes that the man was close to death. He looks very sickly. Ellros asks him what is wrong and if he can help. The elderly man answers by saying, "Elros I have something for you...*handing him a paper*... It is a map to help you find your brother." Elros is supprised at how he knew his name. He never knew anything about a brother. Ellros asks him how he knows his name. Before he gets out the entire sentence the mans eyes close and he stops breathing. Elros lowers his head with solitude. Later that day after he buried the man he takes a closer look at the map. The map had a picture of a place named Malinor. Once Elros was done looking over the map he flips the map over. On the back of the map it sayed "For when your ready-Father" Elros had a sudden flash of anger. Luckily his Elvish nature came over him and he calmed down. He then devoted his life to finding his lost brother and completing the quest given to him from his father. What is your Character's ambitions?:To finish the quest given to his father and find Malinor. Once ther he will find his people and live amongst them. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):Elros' favorite tool is the Bow because he used it all of his life trying to do random jobs in which ment killing monsters and many other things. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?He is a very skilled archer and is also skilled in fortifying houses and/or anything that is able to be livable. He gets angrier than most Elves, but he cools down very quickly. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Elros: Hail! You over there. may I ask why you have made the decision that stealing from them is the right thing to do? Warrior1: Back off! We need to make a living too! We don't want any trouble young lad so don;t get in our way. Elros: There are much easier ways of making money than stealing from people. Warrior2: We don't have time for this! Can you please step aside? Elros: How about I propose a proper trade? I'll give you my rare bow and you give me the money to give back to the people? Warrior1: Deal! just let us go before we get in trouble. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Elros: 'ello...*with a grin on his face.*... what does a fine gentleman like you have for sale? Other man: I've all the finest wares from soup to armor! Does anything enterest ya'? Elros: I'll take a look at your Elven armor. Other man: Ooooh... yes, that is my finest piece. I have leather and gold. Choose wisely and it all depends what ya' got to pay me! Elros:*with a chuckle* Don't worry I'll pay you. I'll take the leather. How much for it?*trying to win him over with charm* Other man: It'll be 649 coins. Elros:... maybe I should come back once I've been paid. Other man: That is fine with me. I'll be here when you come back. Nice meetin' ya'. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:Once I search around for any proof that no one lives there anymore I would take them. It wouldn't be for me though. I would take the sword to the nearest town guards. Then I would sell the iron and give the money to the homeless people in the city so they can eat. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?I help them in there daily jobs so I could get on their good side. Once on their good side I ask for food for me to take on my travels. My personality wins them over and they give me the small amount they can afford to spare. I thank them and leave. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:I am very tempted to accept the offer, but my good will wins me over and I have to turn the quards down.
