Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____
1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react?
Answer:
Tathar turns his head towards the snickering Elves and then says in a quite irritated tone, "Why do you ridicule the child when your own actions right now are childish? Hmm?" One of the Elves respond saying, "The child is most likely to be a thief by our assumption. He is a Dark Elf after all." The child sniffles, looks at the ground and frowns at the remark.
Tathar then shakes his head in disapproval and replies, "Not all Dark Elves are thieves you know. I know some who do good. Even if the child were a thief, making mockery of the child won't help. Now please move along and let the child be."
2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?
Answer:
While I was walking through the Elven woodlands, I noticed a senior aged man collapse to the ground. His money pouch then flies out and hits the ground ripping the bag open, causing all of the coins to spill out across the pathway. This concerned me greatly, so I walk up to the old man and helped him back to his feet. The man smiled kindly and then said, "I thank you for your great courtesy. Now may you kindly help me pick my coins up off the ground?" I then reply, "And so I will." I then pick up the mans ripped back and frown. "What a pity. The bag that in which held your coins has ripped," I say. I then pull out a spare one that I had handy and scoop up all the spilled coins into the bag. I then hand the bag to him, and nod smiling kindly to the man. He then grabs the bag out of my hands and pulls out 30 of them handing them to me saying, "This is for your generousness my kind sir. Not all men carry such a thing now days."
3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).
Answer:
"How much for the scimitar?" The merchant, Ives, replies immediately saying, "That scimitar right there will cost you 1800 Minas!" Tathar grimaces and then says, "Don't you think you are charging a little too much? With a price that high, you would not get any business at all!" Ives then asks curiously, "How come?" Tathar smiles and says, "The average market price is 1600 Minas for such a sword, 200 less. However if you lower it 25% lower than average market price, 1200 Minas, you're business would boom!" The tradesman thinks about it and then comes to a decision, "That makes sense now. Then that scimitar will be 1200 Minas!" Tathar nods, hands Ives the money and then continues his own affairs.
