  1. MC Username: Twiddlepop

Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): Sa'Pavajuura

Character Skillset: Pavajuura is agile and witty above all other qualities. She is able to assess a situation in quick time, and avoid some of the most life threatening situations. These qualities all help her escape tricky situations, as she finds herself in places she shouldn't be quite often. Pavajuura has a large amount of courage which allows her to confront tricky situations, but this confidence can sometimes translate into brashness.

Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender): Pavajuura is a 28 year old female Kha'Leparda. She has sleek, smooth, caramel coloured fur with dark spots and a creamy muzzle. Her eyes are very large for her face, and are of an odd pale yellow colour. She is lightly muscled, with slender limbs and long, hooked claws. Pava has a round face and a slim muzzle, which makes her eyes look disproportionately large.

Personality: Pavajuura is fiercely patriotic, brash, loyal, and expressive. She speaks her mind and voices her opinions without fear of judgement or punishment, and she has little regard for consequences. Once allied to someone or something, Pavajuura will never, ever betray them; her loyalty is completely unbreakable. She believes that she is truly blessed to be Kharajyr, and will defend them in any way if she has to.

Please include a short bio of your character's life: Pavajuura has had a simple life so far, no luxuries or bonuses. When she was the age of five, she had a rather life changing encounter with an ocelot. She had run away from home to defy her parents and how she believed they restricted her, and was deep into the forests. As she sat against the trunk of a mighty tree, an ocelot apporached her, its inquisitive face breaking through the shadows around her. The ocelot and Pavajuura played for the rest of the day, and Pavajuura realised that her parents needed her, just as she needed them. Later, she went back to find the ocelot, but it never returned.

Her parents were fair and kind, nuturing her to become a success in the wide world of Asulon. Unfortunately, when she was near enough to seventeen years of age, Pavajuura's parents died in a horrible accident; this left Pavajuura a mess, unable to function normally. Gradually, Pavajuura rebuilt her confidence, and now she stands taller than ever, stronger than ever. She still prays for her parents in the temple, and honours their memories once every elven week, but she now dedicates herself to the race that raised her; The Kharajyr.

Character's ambitions: Pavajuura wishes to climb her way up the ranks of the Kharajyr, finding happiness in helping her race expand and flourish. She has no ambitions to make peace or to ally with other races, only to bring benefit to her people.

    _---Situational Rp Questions---_

    1.

As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?:

    "P-please, help me!"

Pavajuura regards the man with a cold stare, her lip curling to reveal a sharp, white, fang. "Yu daayre come inta' tha lands of tha Kha?"

"I n-need food and water, I am so terribly lost! Please!"

"I will na' waste tha preshas supplies of tha Kha upon yu." Pavajuura spits onto the floor at the mans feet, sneering. "But ah will make sure yu leave thees lands befo' yu scavange anyting."

Pavajuura raises a paw toward the rising sun, her pupils constricting into slits in the bright light of the morning. "Tu tha fah east es a village. Follow tha sun and yu shall find shelta', since yu will ha' no shelta' from me."

The man blinks at the Kha, starting to walk away slowly. With a yowl, Pavajuura extends one of her paws, claws out, and the man shouts and turns to sprint away. As he disappears into the shadows, Pavajuura retracts her claws, never aiming to hurt the man, only to scare him away before he did any harm.

    2. As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak.

"Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!"

He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?:

Pavajuura stalks toward the dwarf, and slams her hands down on his table. His ale mug tips, its contents spilling into the Dwarf's lap. His chatter has ceased now, and he stares at the Kha.

"Es there sahmting yu wish tu say?"

The Dwarf stands, pointing a stubby finger at the Kha. "There actually do be something I wish to say to you, ye scroungy feline piece o' crap."

Pavajuura leaps across the table with great speed, grabbing the Dwarf by the collar and holding him up against the wall of the tavern. The Dwarf's feet dangle in the air, and his face becomes slightly purple. The Kha hisses into his face. "Say eet. I dare yu."

The Dwarf swallows, his cheeks red from a mixture of lack of oxygen and alcohol, and splutters out words that make Pavajuura screech in fury. "Ye would look good above my mantlepiece, kitty."

The Kha throws him from the wall onto the table with a loud crash. She leaps over the top of him, looking down on him from above as he tries to regain his breath. "Yu will na' hear tha last o' thees, Ape." And with that, Pavajuura exits the tavern, breaking into a run to return to her people.

    3.

One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response?

    "Ah keeled him."

Pavajuura pauses for a moment. "What do yu mean?"

"Ah keeled him, Pava! Ah killed him ova' tha cake!"

Pavajuura stops still, her blood running cold. A fellow Kha, murdered by her closest friend? Her emotions in conflict, she turns her sad eyes upon to her friend once more. "Why?" Her voice rises as rage overcomes her. "Why yu waste o' Kha?!"

Pavajuura pushes her friend from her dwelling, spitting and cursing at him. "Leave, ah' neva' return! All tha Kharajyr shall hear o' what yu have dahn!" She pauses for a moment, looking down at the earth below. "Yu have na' only lost a frien', but yur family tu." And with that, she returns to her dwelling, sobs of distress and betrayl coming from within.

Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred? I do solemnly swear this.

  2. Name of the Person who Proposed the Change: Whitebeard

    Change: Mob drops

My concerns or ideas about the Change: Some people on LOTC are unable to gather the resources required for selling, and local merchants may not be in a similar timezone. Making it hard to gain minas makes it hard for the smaller people in the world to get by. I think that to enjoy your RP time on LOTC, you can't be living in poverty, or having an extremely hard time. This is when people start to make connections and friendships via the forums, and this leads to meta-gaming.

  3. *A small letter is pinned to the local notice board, the pale parchment enscribed with graceful, elegant writing*

    Dear Reader,

I am in need of a Teacher of the Arcane Arts, specifically Illusion magic. I have become greatly inquisitive about this type of Arcane magic, and I would be greatly obliged by anyone who would be prepared to teach me more. I hope I have the finesse and skill required to learn a skill with such prowess.

Please reply below, if you need more details about myself, my history, or my worth of becoming your apprentice, you need but only ask.

    Yours Faithfully,

    Ophelia Windflower

    [[ I recognise that from somewhere... >_> ]]

"By the Sengoku period, the shinobi had several roles, including spy (kanchō), scout (teisatsu), surprise attacker (kishu), and agitator (konran).[21] The ninja families were organized into larger guilds, each with their own territories.[23] A system of rank existed. A jōnin ("upper man") was the highest rank, representing the group and hiring out mercenaries. This is followed by the chūnin ("middle man"), assistants to the jōnin. At the bottom was the genin ("lower man"), field agents drawn from the lower class and assigned to carry out actual missions.[24]"

Does that help? (It's from wikipedia, for reference).

  5. ((Note: This is more of a clan than a guild. Most Jano are born into the clan, but you are allowed to join without this backstory. I.E, you don’t have to make a new character. This clan ties in with the lore of Han'Shai, which still has yet to (hopefully) be accepted.))

((IMPORTANT: I am no longer the Jonin/Leader of the Jano, please send all Jano related questions and the like to Sealhorn.))

A cold breeze whips against your skin as you enter the Cloud Temple on a cold, moonlit night. Clouds cast infrequent shadows across the glistening surfaces of the pools and fountains; all is quiet, all is still. Suddenly, a gust of wind howls through the Temple, sweeping under the arches and buffeting the walls of the temple. Leaves fly around you as if in the midst of a haunting dance, circling and leaping across the smooth stone floor.

A poster hangs just ahead of you. The parchment on which it is written is so black, light seems to shy away from it. White writing sits on the surface, glinting in the moonlight. You walk closer, squinting to make out the words written in the glittering cursive.

    80SDG.png

    不要害怕陰影,害怕時,他們都走了

Do not fear shadows, fear when they are gone.

“Living to serve yourself and your cause, disciplining yourself to achieve the utmost skill and power, and knowing that although you are surrounded by others, your blood, your skin, and the very fabric of your soul determine that you are different; you are not like the others.”

We are the Jano, the eyes and ears of the shadows. We are the watchers, the assassins, and the mercenaries of the night.

    ~

Below the poster, a page that has been torn from what seems to be a textbook is nailed below. You lean in to get a closer look.

    The Jano: An Introduction

Of the many parts of Han’Shai society, the Jano are the most elusive, misinterpreted, and misunderstood. They could be effectively compared to the Sphodromantis viridis of the forests of Elandriel. The Jano began their time as criminals and thieves, exiled from their homes due to their unfortunate practices. At first, they fought amongst each other, bickering and squabbling to find power, until one day they were brought together by someone simply known as ‘The Jonin’.

The Jano are hard to comprehend to outsiders; they are disciplined and yet contemplative. They can take up numerous false personas and roles in other societies, and they can exist almost anywhere, an omnipresence that is only achieved by their people.

The Jano may seem at first to merely be miscreants and brutes, but they actually guide, shape, and embrace the chaos that they are capable of creating. They are highly dedicated to the ‘greater good’ concept which Madokara guided them towards, and they contest the noble Cipang for the best protection of Han’Shai.

    The Rites of Passage

The Jano commit many, many deeds in the name of Han’Shai, therefore it would be difficult to find a Jano that doesn’t engage in chaos inducing plots of manipulation or other intrigue. The Jano are wary of the risks involved with having a person commit such acts, often without supervision or oversight aside from the Jonin’s constant awareness of their acts. Because of this, the Jano have many rites of passage where the apprentices of their society are trained rigorously prior to being given tasks.

Another page scrap is pinned beside the first.

    The Hierachy

At the top of the Jano hierarchy is the Jonin, the all-knowing and all seeing leader of their people. Below the Jano, there are four positions (Chunin) to be filled; the Kancho, the Teisatsu, the Kishu, and the Konran. Sometimes, only one or two of these positions are filled at the time, depending on whether the Jonin finds a suitable candidate. The basic members of the Jano are called the Genin, and they make up the majority of the Jano populace.

    Relations

The Jano allow their reputation to spread, but when contacted, if the true Jano nature of the member is not known, then they are highly likely to pretend to be of another clan.

The Cipang and the Jano have many philosophical differences, and therefore can be rude and uncivil with each other at times. Despite this, both clans are able to put aside their differences for the good of Han’Shai. The Ji’Sin and the Jano share a special bond, most likely due to the respect that the Ji’Sin have among the members of Han’Shai.

The constantly moving and changing lifestyles of the Jano mean that they have notorious trouble with relationships, but the Jano mostly find their companions among the calm and peaceful monks of Han’Shai, or their Jano peers.

As you move away from the poster, thinking about what you have just read, you see a glimpse of a shadowy figure standing atop the roof of the Cloud Temple. Another gust of wind makes you shield you face, and when you look up again, the figure is gone, leaving only moonlight in its place.

((Thank you to Izo for the lore-y goodness!))

    Jonin: Sealhorn (Izo)

  6. MC name: Twiddlepop

Strengths: I work well as part of a team, and I love to uplift the spirits of other people! I have good hand-eye co-ordination, and I can work well under pressure. Events like 'the plunge' interest me, because it's one moment where everything depends on you to get it right, and I like the feeling of that responsibility. Event wise, I can most from pixel art to parkour!

Weaknesses(if any): Sometimes when I can't complete a task repeatedly, I get frustrated and started making brash and unrational decisions. I am interested in the event 'Fallen', but this could be my downfall in this event. Event wise, I am awful at PvP and mob killing.

Have you read the rules listed in the Olympiad Rules? And do you agree to abide by them?: Yes, of course!

Other notes: I am so excited that Lord of the Craft gets to take part in this event, and I really hope that we do well! Even if I am not chosen to be one of the honoured twenty, I'll be cheering on the competitors from all the servers, but most of all, Lord of the Craft!

  7. Have candidates put themselves forward, then have the community vote on which of the candidates!~

This sounds like amazing fun :D

*Edit* With option one, someone immature could be picked to represent our server. With option two, only the most popular members would get a chance. Need some sort of application process. (see above post from Erelend :3)

  8. *A poster hangs in the center of the city. It seems to have been posted recently, and contains a picture of a girl with long, red hair, reading a book. Below the picture is some scrawled writing.*

"It is to my great sorrow to inform you all of the death of my daughter, Poppy Canbya Leafhelm.

I'm sure not all of you reading this would have known Poppy, but those of you who did will know that she was kind, intelligent, brave, and a ray of sunlight that penetrated the dark veil of our lives. She was always kind and caring, never turning a person down if they needed help. Her hospitality was renowned, and her kindness spoken aboout between friends.

Poppy started life as a shy girl, constantly overpowered by her siblings, Daisy and Kale. But by the time she left home, Poppy was more confident with herself, and more determined to good in the world.

She started life in the town of Glenwood, making firm friends with the residents and the travellers that passed through. At only the age of 19, Poppy was running the local inn, later to be known as 'The Golden Greyhound'. The compassion and dedication she showed toward her job allowed the inn to flourish into a good source of income for Glenwood, and still be a place of companionship and joy.

Later in her life, Poppy moved to the county of Andromeda, and opened up a small tavern their, running this as well as the inn back in Glenwood. This generated little to no business at all, and yet she stayed strong and continued to have faith in her work.

After her second fiance died at sea before they could get married, Poppy began to become secluded and lonely, isolating herself from those she loved. Eventually, her sorrow became madness, and she began slowly killing herself. The mixture of insomnia, malnourishment, and insanity became too much for her, and she passed away after a heart attack.

A small family funeral has already taken place for Poppy, but if you wish to do anything of your own, please, feel free.

    Signed,

Redwood Leafhelm, loving father to Poppy."
