Fire Evocation

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Fire evocation, is one of the oldest voidal arts, it revolves around the summoning of fire and it’s many properties. It has many different applications, from the mundane to the combative. It is a very simple concept in terms of magic, being one of the more simplistic to teach.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Personally i’d say the three main types of fire evocation, are standard flame, smoke, and combustion. Flame revolves around a multitude of different spells, ranging from simple fireballs, to torrents of flame, and even summoning rain from the sky. Smoke is very simple but I like to put it in it’s own section, mostly because it is not supposed to be used to attack people, only as a defensive measure, and combustion is the ability to add explosive force to some of the standard flame spells, such as the Fireball.

Velu offering the newest pupil a curt nod, before motioning to the seat before her. Infront of the pair, would be a black candle, with a short wick. Velu brushed herself off, it was a busy day after all... but now it was time for the student before her to learn. “A simple lesson, but an important one, to summon fire, you must learn of fire and it’s properties, not just the fire itself, but everything else to do with flame.”

The Student nodded. “So, how do you go about such.”

Velu replied. “Simple.” and with a sudden click of her slender fingers, the wick before her suddenly lit up! A parlor trick at best. “Take this flame, look at the way it moves, it’s colour, it’s smell. All such things are what makes a flame, if you touch it, it burns. If you starve it, it goes out.” she said, before suddenly pressing her fingers over the open flame, lucky for her she prepped gloves.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

Find out how badly they PG’d first, if it’s the first time, oocly have a talk to them, make sure they understand where they went wrong, go through some tips and tricks, how to avoid PGing in the future, if it was a slip up, don’t worry about it too much we all make mistakes, but if it is something overly severe then contact the ST to let them know what happened and how they wish to handle it.

Velu sighed softly, shaking her head... as a former Court Doctor she knew the verdict was grim before, but it was a shame to see another Emperor die, but such is the way of humanity, the old die and the new take over. As she had witnessed many times in the past, but she had hopes that an Empress may be just as good as an Emperor. 

“The rat Norlanders deserved it, they’ll break the treaty the second they get a chance.” Velu shook her head in disgust at the concessions made.

If your only villian roleplay, is murder or extreme maiming to the point where the character is pretty much dead anyway. Why would people wish to rp such. Do something actually different that is not murder maim kill kill rp.
