  1. A percentage of orcs walk to the Vale, so I can say that is not bad. There are some nice orcs too, who would rather talk then eat us... Anyway, we cannot tell people we don't want their roleplay, btu it gets annoying when an 8 foot tall orc somehow gets to the Vale. I do think we will have bad times, as we are peaceful, and the weak/peaceful are usually taken to by force. I do agree with much of the random "I'm an orc I'ma eat you" thing though....

  2. [The following is a true IC story]

Richard stands by the fire and turns as one odd Halfling pipes his mind

OI? Ye wan' a story? Fin', I'll tell ye abou' th' time me an' Tibb foun' Iblee's Butt Crack!

A few chuckles are made around the Inn

Aye, me, Tibb an' some othe' 'alflings were playin' shogs by th' river, when I fell in. I don' really know 'ow to swim very well, so I kinda jus' sank to th' bottom... Well, when I reache' th' bottom, I sank into th' sand, into a 'uge cave! I go' a little panic, bu' Tibb fell down too, so I wasn' completely alone. Aye, well, Tibb only go' abou' ten feet down, bu' I sank to th' bottom o' th' cave. I shoute' "Tibb! Thi' cave be crazy! I'll go fin' a way ou'!" we talke' a while an' he made his way ou', bu' I go' los' down below. Fo' fou' days I live' off mushrooms an' cave wate', walkin' 'round in circles till me 'ead 'urt. On th' fifth day, I foun' th' exit, finally! I wen' so far ou', I ende' up near th' pointy ears home, an' it took me a week to ge' back! When I finally go' back, Tibb foun' me, an' we had a grea' laugh 'bout it. We call it "Iblee's Butt Crack" because it goes to th' deepest o' Asulon I thin', an' It be more dangerous the' anythin' bu' Iblee's! An tha' be my story!

A ***** silence falls on the Inn as the Halflings look at Richard with a blank faces...

  3. Richard lets a tear drop as he throws the hilt of "Fang", the sword Crelo had wielded, into a shallow grave. He sighs, knowing he couldn't save Crelo, nor could anyone else, but Crelo himself made the decision to be left behind, and buried in the lava. Richard scooped the hilt of "Fang" from the lava at the last moment, before it burned away and, the last thing of Crelo in this world have been gone. He takes a moment, looking down into the grave at "Fang" saying-

"Well, ya killed 'im. Ye may fool th' othe's bu' I ca' see it... He wasn' 'imself, an' ye... Ye made 'im do it! Ye are the reason 'es dea'!"

Richard erupts in anger, and kicks a rock down into the pit. He's never, that he can remember, been in the situation to save a life. He does remember that he was in the situation to save Crelo's life, even if he failed. That isn't enough though, he shakes his head, holding back tears, knowing that it was his fault Crelo died, not the hilt of a dagger.

Ya some kin' o' evil ye are, Richard... Ya jus' le' 'im die in ya hands, an' threw the body so ya didn' 'ave to carry it... I'll leave ya open, so if Aris o' Dofur come by they ca' say their goo' byes too, bu'..."

Richard trails off in body and in mind, leaving nothing but an empty grave and a sign, "Here lies Crelo"

  4. Something I wish to see is more peaceful, rural areas. Now, I understand that the Vale is already extremely peaceful, but we need something like a meadow or shaded pond that is specifically meant to be serene. And we could do with some more organized street names, adding onto the currently wonderful "Thief's Street, Tookwater Way, etc." It adds a fun little personal experience, knowing your own burrow's address for me, at least.

As for a name, I would suggest something that is similar to the land around it. Perhaps, now that the town will have an abundance of great oak trees, we could be something like "Oakshire" (my personal favorite, and it would be pronounced Oak-sure) or "Oakton". Something of that sort.

Oaken Fields? I like that one :D

  5. From what I've seen from being a halfling on my second character, reading the lore, reading the Hobbit, and some other things, I think we need more uniqueness. I can explain the Vale in one sentence: A small bundle of burrows which collide besides a river of wheat and water. I think of the world so big, so interesting, waterfalls and plant life, color and such. Halflings and Hobbits are meant to be about themselves and fun, but we need more of these things.

As for the name, I like "Gireen" just for kicks

Edit: I got a real name: "Maple Fields" if not "Oaken Fields" or "Oaken Shelter' or something
