How old are you?: 32 (Born October 22, 1979)
Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT-7, MST. Country of Residence is United States
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: If at my age I do not, then there is something seriously wrong with me.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Veteran, father of 3 daughters, Cloud storage technician. Love humour, love creating and working with others who are well mannered, and an overall friendly person. I especially enjoy using voice chat, as I have my own mumble server.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?: A handful of hours most likely.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I honestly know little of it, but would like to learn it and give it a whirl. It means to me delving your mind into a world and character that is not real, but has the same range of abilities and intelligence as a real person, living a life of fantasy. At the same time it allows you to interact with those of similar interest and desire to be accepted for who they wish to be.
What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: None, other than minor observations of it.
In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Using knowledge you have in real life to affect your "fake" life. Generally not a good idea if you want to keep a good lore going.
In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Usurping control of a RP area by using emotes that give no chance of response or counter-measures. Examples would include "Grimspell shoots Boulderguy with an explosive arrow straight into his helmet, ending his life instantly."
What do you expect this server will be like?: A place to build, work on your own ideals of a perfect world, and interact with interesting and imaginative people.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: RNHT.net (haven't left, just looking to try something different, it's my friends server), Opticraft (a moderator, not exactly leaving it, just would like to spend some time without being responsible for settling bickering and repairing what has been griefed), Land of Ancients (They charge to access the better content, leaving those that do not wish to pay a fee to be preyed upon).
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I will abide by all the rules set forth at the time of my application as I understand them, and should I have questions regarding them I will seek clarification. Besides, as long as one attempts to do what is right, how often can they be broken? Do unto others as you would have done unto you.
Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I guess I should have read ahead, lol.
How did you hear about us?: Searched, found the site linked on http://www.xtremetop100.com/minecraft (ranked 25 at the time).
Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: This is my first application to this server.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):
I was born to a little known house of commoners whom I did not get along with well, as their obsession with trying to restore the ancient language was more isolationist than I wanted to be. I chose to go forth and seek my fortune among the Elven people, earning my pay by the sweat of my brow and the strength of my own back. Leaving my childhood home in Elandriel, I headed into the districts of Malinor to learn what I could, and live a long, peaceful life of meditation, farming, and making potions. In hopes of getting employment until able to venture out on my own, I travelled by ship from Asulon to Malinor as a new face to the city.
I have learned to be wary of strangers that enter my area uninvited, but I welcome guests warmly with a raised hand and a warm smile. I enjoy working with others to achieve mutual goals, and trading to the benefit of all parties. When it comes to combat, I prefer to help logistically instead of joining the fray, though I consider myself an able archer and potion-maker. The last battle I was in I had to use my entire stock of potions to escape, healing myself, splashing poisons behind me, and enhancing my speed to dangerous levels. I vowed then to remain far from the bandit areas and remain in the safety of the city guards until able to build a utopian community where all races are welcomed to trade medicines, produce, timber, and various other goods with each other without fear of oppression, ran by a council consisting of members of each race, representing their goals as a whole.
What are your Character's ambitions?: To live a life of peace, trading with my fellow Asulonions, and helping all those in need as I am able.
What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Brewing stand or Bow.
What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Gathering the materials I need to make powerful potions and keeping a weather eye on my surroundings.

Other Information about your Character: I wear around my head the folded favour of the maiden I fell in love with as a sign of my fidelity, though she died of a rare illness many moons ago. She gave it to me
Open-Response-Questions
Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? My character would attempt to find the nearest guard and report the problem as soon as possible. I am not a guard, nor a policing person, though I have a great desire to see justice prevail.
Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Salutations good sir, I am merely passing through. If I may beg your pardon, I'll be on my way." I would then continue peacefully on my way to whatever errand I am on at the time. If I am indeed interested in the merchant's goods, I would ask what they were if I was uncertain, and begin the negotiation process as applicable.
Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Would attempt to give the hut a wide berth, and hope the owner is friendly to accidental trespassers. The items in the chest would remain where they are, as they have not been earned by me, and I would have no claim upon them. If another should wish to defile the place, may their actions have justice.
Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Greetings to each of you. I am lost in these woods, and in need of a meal. Is there some service I may provide you that I may earn a meal, and perhaps share your camp's fire?" Should they decline, I would leave them in peace. If they are bandits in disguise and would wish me harm, I would defend myself to the best of my ability should I not be able to avoid the battle.
You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "I have many resources I would like to contribute to your noble and worthy cause, but I am not much of a warrior. May I help with potions or other logistical needs?" Should that suffice, then I would do just that. Otherwise I would offer to be a sniper with my skills in archery, or a healer with my potions.
Anything else you would like to say?: I look forward to joining what looks to be a colourful world of imaginative people. I generally don't say much if I don't have anything worth saying.
