MC Name: baeshra RP Name: Esenir Character Age: 23 Bio (5 or more sentences): Esenir I was born to a dull family of dwarves. He grew up learning to mine and farm; support his family. He grew tired of repeating the same monotonous routine day upon day. He took an interest in redstone, he liked to think a type of magic. His ability with redstone comforted him, it made him feel like he was somewhat better than the other dwarves. He knew he could never truly learn magic, but he still hoped to. Over all else he longed to be accepted. At the age of 23 he left his home town in search of acceptance and adventure. He took little with him: Some food, a wooden sword, a wooden pickaxe, and few minas. Hearing tales of ancient runes being found he trekked to the town of Kal'Dwain where he hoped to find some link to magic. Primary Skills: My skill with a pick matches my skill with a forge. I can farm and fight. But most of all I can be loyal. Do You Swear Loyalty to the Thains?: Yes Who is the Current King?: Kjell

Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: baeshra How old are you?: 14 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: PST / United States Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, when talking I am always clear and correct any spelling mistakes I may make. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I believe myself to be a fairly intelligent and kind person. I very much love to rp and consider myself somewhat geeky. I’m a redstone fanatic and always enjoy a challenge. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 6 hours, give or take a few. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is the act of taking upon a persona and interacting with others as that new persona. Often you forget that you aren’t that person as you speak and act like him/her. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I’ve played D&D (3.5) for the past four years or so with several of my friends. For the past five months or so I’ve been playing on the SilverAge RP server and was given the title of Game Moderator. I also played on the Realm of Gwomath and the Battle of Elderon servers for a short time. During my time at SilverAge I participated in the Apocalypse and was the only member of my race to survive. The survivors fled to a new world where I met the dwarves and soon became one of the King’s trusted hand. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is the act of applying out of character knowledge to your in character persona. Just because I looked up information on the Lord of the Craft wiki does not mean my character knows that. Due to this when roleplaying I must act as if I did not know it. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting is acting out an RP action without giving the subject a chance to reply. For example: *Shoots a poison tipped arrow into the back of Gordane’s head causing him to collapse on the floor* would be power emoting. It should have been phrased: *Aims a poison tipped arrow at the back of Gordane’s head, hoping to incapacitate him* What do you expect this server will be like?: From what I’ve read and heard I believe that this will be a fully immersive roleplaying experience. It will be a full world where I can interact with others in a fashion that is true to the term roleplaying. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I’ve played on three (technically four since SilverAge turned into Book Of Halegron)RP servers. I started playing on SilverAge which quickly turned into The Book Of Halegron. The server administration there wasn’t the best and the server host soon stopped hosting it all together due to time constraints and the like. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have. Example: PVP without RP is against the rules, your opponent must be made aware that you both are about to fight. I completely agree with this rule. It came up a lot on SA. There was a band of necromancers and they would randomly shoot fireballs from the trees killing players. It is unfair to "jump" a player. It does make sense however to announce you are there to them in OOC and let them do what they may in RP. This can give the illusions that they heard your footsteps or something of the like. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise to abide by the rules, and laws for the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak. How did you hear about us?: Several members of SilverAge/BoH have mentioned it as an amazing server and I came across it while looking for a new RP server. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: No, this is my first application. In-Character: Character Name: Esenir Stoneheart What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : I would prefer play a Dwarf. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Esenir is of the Cavern Dwarf lineage. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Esenir grew up in a small dwarven cavern, an offshoot from the city Deepholm. The town was quite bland, the dwarves spent most of their time mining away, eating, and drinking ale. As a child Esenir always wanted to go out in the world and explore, he was a curious lad. He watched the fate of many other dwarven children; they became adults and constructed their own huts from the airy stone. Once you lived there, you never left. Esenir was different. He always asked questions of other lands, lands that most knew naught about. Living in the caves was a simple existence. He grew to loath his parents; they thought him “challenged” as he was not like the other dwarven children. He was just as good a miner as any other but yet he was still “other”. He wanted to be more than he was, he wanted to advance in life, and most of all he wanted to learn. He yearned to break free from the chains of his dark town and roam the world in search of knowledge. He knew, no matter how much he wanted it, that it was very unlikely. Esenir is roughly 4 foot 3 inches tall with dark red hair and blackish green eyes. He wears a belt around his waist with several engineering components within. He wears simple black shoes and light brown tunic that reveals his grey hairless chest. His trousers are made from a thick and uncomfortable red burlap like material woven to cover his legs. From his long childhood underground he has developed a light grey skin, much like several other dwarves. His hands are very rough providing a decent grip with a pickaxe. For the most part he resembles his parents. He has a wide jaw and “plump” face and he is almost as wide as he is tall. His thick skin provides some protection as he has no skill with sword or armor. Esenir is rather intelligent (at least in the eyes of his fellow dwarves) and asks the oddest questions. He is clever and kind, though he does not often go out of his way to help someone. He speaks with a thick dwarvish accent which may make it hard to understand him. He seeks knowledge within the world and is particularly interested in engineering and magic. He knows he can learn little ordinary magic so he strives to become a Rune Smith. When Esenir was old enough (23) he set out for the greater world. With no siblings to have left behind he felt rather good about himself. He tunneled to the surface, as not to be noticed by any of the other dwarves. He began his short journey to the Engineering Guild. This is where the story of Esenir Stoneheart really begins. The tale of a “different” dwarf. This must be interesting. What are your Character's ambitions?: Esenir aspires to always become a greater engineer, he still has much to learn and wishes to join Holm’s engineering guild. Esenir, intrigued by the workings of magic as he is by the workings of redstone also aspires to become a Rune Smith. Esenir is willing to train hard to learn more about redstone and the art of Rune Smithing. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Esenir prefers a pick for anything, whether it be mining for redstone or attempting to fend off vile monsters. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Esenir is a decent engineer and can work wonders with redstone. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: Esenir and is rather tall for a dwarf with thick grey skin obtained from his time in the caves. He loves to go mining and always feel that thrill of discovery anytime he finds ore, specifically redstone. He has a thick accent though somewhat educated. His hair is a black-ish red color with dark eyes. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Please note that during dialogue I don’t use “” around my own speech to differentiate it from the speech of others in the scenario. Also, any time I type with a heavy accent I include a spoiler with the same text though the accent is edited out. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: Esenir averts his eyes and continues to walk at a brisk pace. He knows that the warriors are unjust but sees no way to help. He has no sword (and no skill with one even if he had a sword) and no other tools besides his slightly rusty iron pickaxe. He was in no condition to fight and thought it best to not get involved. What business did a puny dwarf have in protecting a Halfling? Esenir wishes that he could help but alas, he cannot. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Talking with a heavy accent Esenir says: Hmm, do ye’ have any gold for sale? I could relly use sum to forge mine own new pickaxe. Ye’ see, them head of my old ‘un was bent violent like the other day in the mines. This here pickaxe is mine own soul an’ life, I was really hoping to fin’ some iron to smelt down an’ repair it with. I have ‘um minas an’ a few wares of my own to trade. What ye’ say? The shopkeeper says in a rather angry voice as he does not truly believe the dwarf has anything to pay: “Of course I do though I’m not too sure you can pay. It’ll be 18 minas.” O’ course I can, de ye’ think meself a liar? *Esenir (restraining himself) passes the minas, one by one, to the shopkeeper.* After receiving the gold I trudge away, still puzzled by why he thought me to be a liar. Without Accent: Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I look around, pondering whether it might be safe to go and have a look. After making sure that no one else is around to witness anything I enter the hut, looking for any signs of its’ owner. After exploring the house for several minutes I find that it is a rather simple abode with a single drawer, a small kitchen area, as well as a fireplace and table. The walls look as if the termites have been at them and the whole of the house seems as if it is ready to fall apart. “Who lived here and why did they leave?” I think. Still worried that I may get caught I quickly take a peek inside the chest of drawers finding a few iron bars, and a golden sword. Marking the location on my crude map I exit the building, not caring to take any of the materials. All the while I was still worried about my own self. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: Speaking in a heavy dwarven accent I respond: ‘Ello there! Can ye’ help me? Ye’ see, I’ve been travlin en this forets for night on six deys. Me rations have run low an’ I am en need o’ some ‘elp. “Indeed we can, we have food and supplies to sell. That is, if you have the minas.” I ony ‘ave ate minas. “We can give you 2 days rations for that. Though you’ll need more than that to get out of these woods.” ‘Elly? I swer I ‘ave been ‘ekking trough ‘ere for e mighty while. “Must ‘a been walking in circles. Nothing I can do but sell you that food, though I’m sure no boss of mine would care if I err… lowered the prices. Tell you what, I’ll give you three days worth for the minas, then you best be off. To get out you’ll want to go east, following the bend of those trees. In three days time you’ll be out of here.” ‘Ank you ‘ery much sir. *Hands over the 8 minas and receives three small bags of food as well as a full skin of water* If I ever ‘ome by ‘ere again I’ll be sure to pay ye’ more! Without Accent: You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I begin to search for the party of guards, attempting to lend my support. Once I located them I walk up, rather slowly, to the leader. I ‘an ‘elp if the ‘rice is ‘ight. “We can use all the help we can get, what can you do?” ‘Raps, I ‘an set ‘raps. I’m s’illed with redstone and ‘an get ‘em stock so ye’ can bet ‘em. “Well, that could prove useful. How does 10 minas sound?” A ‘it low tough it ‘ill be ‘nough. Taking out some string and other supplies Esenir begins setting up a simple pitfall trap, a floor designed to fall away dropping the victims into a hole, ready to be dealt with. After the trap is set I test the string and begin to cover the wooden framework with leaves and grass, the guards are meanwhile discussing other plans to take down the bandits, in case the trap does not work. Th’ ‘rap is set. Ye’ redy? “Of course, we’ll lure them.” 3 guards break of from the rest brandishing iron longswords and plate armor. They advance down the road so that they are in sight of the bandits and begin to yell catcalls. As the bandits advance the guards retreat. The trap is sprung and roughly ¼ of the bandits fall. The rest are quickly dealt with. Without Accent: Anything else you would like to say?: I really hope I do get accepted to this server. If I do get denied I look forward to getting to read my mistakes.

I'm working on my biogrophy and I'm having issues finding a small dwarven underground town that I could've grown up in. Can anyone help?
