We all want to complain about how raiding should be fun for all parties, but even if raiders came in to your city at your peak time and offered you what you desired, then you may be happy, but it's unlikely the raiding group will be. At the end of the day, raiding is confrontation. Of course the attacking party is going to attack you and your folks when you are at your weakest. In what world are a ten dude peak going to attack you when you have 20+ people ready to defend. It doesn't take a strategic genius to realize attacking a stronger force when they are at their weakest is the best decision. Not that it's any better, but expecting sportsmanship out of people is dumb. At one point there was an entire Discord designed and utilized by elves to mass ping 30+ people anytime a group of bandits were seen. Is that good sportsmanship? No. Is it good sportsmanship to 10 man a city inhabited by 3 folks at 3:00 AM on a Wednesday evening/morning? Not at all. While I commend this post, considering you want to see a change in how things are handled, it's unlikely anything will change. This isn't something the staff can fix. They can make the most hardcore, concrete rules for raiding that limits the potential for raiding, it'll just piss off the folks who want to raid and drive them to be more toxic. They can do the opposite of that, make raiding more readily available which'll make the raiders happy, but then the defenders are gonna get fucked for it because no one wants to sit around a Mineman city for 24 hours a day on the off change Bub'kill and his group of orcs are gonna bust on in for the beat down from the times of 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM on a Tuesday. Seems like you are reaching out to the community with the hopes of seeking some empathy. It's a great thing, offering your peers respect in that regard, though it's not going to work either. It's just too far gone at this point for anything to change. Follow the advice that was so intelligently quoted by Sand_King. Just log off, worse case scenario you get a week long ban. Oh well, you avoided the **** raid and you can do something else with your time for the week until you can come back and combat log again. I imagine the staff handing out combat log bans every single raid will bring awareness to the admins the current system is ****. They care about player growth and retention, not roleplay standard. Give them statistics that'll raise concern.
