I have a question if you don't mind me asking here.

How will we pay you? Current inflation would suggest Minas are not really a viable source.

  10. *Myro returns to the posts again, and sends a letter to Sloan, then leaves a response for everyone too see. I will begin to post up job applications for the newspaper, but for now I am still looking for investors first. If anyone does wish to invest, please send a bird to Myro at the Cloud Temple. I will check the mail there as much as possible. ~Myro the Wordsmith
  11. Well, goodnight everyone, but today was very successful, and I hope the Asulon Herald will start shipping out soon.

  12. *Seeing the new letters, Myro leaves a response to both.* The newspaper would be called the Asulon Herald. It would consist of the biggest news from all around the realm, and share it with all. It would have a headline story, and several side stories. I would also look for artists to draw the scenes with many details. It's main income would most likely come from advertisements, for I do not think we should charge people for the newspaper. As for people to employ, I will post flyers around, ans ask certain people soon. Thank you for your responses. ~Myro the Wordsmith
  13. *Seeing the note, Enis leaves a response.* Dear Administrative Staff of Redmagnet University, I, Enis, would like to be a teacher for Languages of Asulon. I could teach the students of the Elven language. If I could I would also like to take the Politics in Asulon class. Sincerely, Enis
  14. I know I am a few days late, but congrats on being accepted! I hope you are enjoying Asulon!

  15. *Myro places notes up in the Cloud Temple, The Vale, and on the Board outside Normandor. ((I will say now that I am just trying to bring RP to the server with this, so although I will pay as much as possible to investors, it might be a while before you are fully paid off. Thanks!)) ((EDIT: I realised I made this confusing in the note, I want a TOTAL of 5,000-10,000 minas from 10 investors, so say, if I get 5 investors and 5,000 each invested 1,000.))
  16. Leave it to me, to spend 3 hours writing a char app, to realise I didn't even have to...

  17. Out-Of-Character Details Alternate Minecraft Account Name: ebobren Already Accepted Minecraft Account Name: ebobren and skippyoak How old are you?: 14 In-Character Details Character Name: Myro the Wordsmith Character Race: Halfling Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: *Myro sits silently on the hillside staring up to the puffy white clouds. Memories of his past rush to him as the gentle breeze brushes his skin.* "Myro! Ye gotta wake up! The chickens won't feed themselves ye know!" Myro sits up from his bed with a jolt as the voice of his father rushes into his ears. Walking to the entrance of the burrow he throws on his overcoat and opens the door. A cold wind blows into his face and now he knows winter is coming. Stepping out towards the door he stops and reaches into his pocket and nearly faints at what he feels. Running back through the door he searches tirelessly through the different shelves, under beds, and in chests. The light footsteps of his father enter the burrow and he says, "Son, what are ye doing? Don't ye know where the chicken feed is?" Myro turns around, a worried expression on his face, "I lost me-," quickly fixing his grammar he continues, "-my journal, it's not in my coat pocket, whre I left it!" Myro's father looks at him shaking his head, "I threw it out a while ago- it was getting in the way of ye work. Ye can't make an honest livin' of a few words ye know. I mean, ye are 16 years old, ye gotta start thinkin' about ye future and leave this childish dream behind!" *Myro lets a ring of smoke escape his lips as he remembers how his father never supported his trade. Ginning, he thinks back to happier times.* Jogging, Myro quickly passes halflings doing their daily business throughout the Vale. Turning around a corner, he bumps into another halfling girl. They both stumble backwards, and looks up to her eyes, one as blue as a saphire, the other, green as an emerald. Her dark, golden hair, rolls down her shoulder in long, beautiful braids. Cheecks turning red she says, "I- I'm sorry, I didn't see ye there..." Myro smiles at her, and says, "It's alright, it wasn't yer fault." "I'm Rosane," She says in a soft, gentle voice. *Myro chuckles to himself, as he thinks of all the good times he had with Roasane. But the smile slips off his face as he thinks of the last time he saw her.* Myro walks down a familiar path, a bundle of sweet scented roses in his hands and a poem he had written for Rosane in his pocket.. He had been with Rosane for two years now, and he wanted to make the anniversary special. He rounded the cornor he had when he first met her, their usual meeting spot. Long grass on the hills sway as wind pushes against them. Although the scenery was perfect, Myro was worried. Roasne was not there yet, and she had not been late once in two years. Her faint footsteps ease his nerves as they approach. He looks up smiling, but as she slowly turns the cornor he sees clear teardrops running down her cheecks. Running forward Myro hugs her and asks, "What's wrong? Why are ye crying?" She looks up into his eyes and says, "I- I am moving... Far away, and I will not see you again.." Myro's eyes widen and he proclaims in a worried voice, "But, why? And where? And when? You can't just leave ye have lived here ye whole life!" Rosane takes a deep breath, "Me family's farm burned down last night... We are moving to a manor outside that human city Arethor... To be servents." Myro gets outraged, "That's ridiculous! Obviously I'll help you and surley others-" Rosane cuts him off, "Many hvae offered, but me pa refuses! He's gone completly mad saying he won't accept to charity, but without anyone's help we can't rebuild our farm," With that, she leans in and kisses Myro. Before leaning away, she stealthy places a note in his hand and runs off the way she came, crying. "Wait!", Myro shouts after her, but she ignores him, and soon fades away into the distance. In shock, he just stands their for a long time, staring blankly at the setting sun. He then, unfolds the crinkled, hastily written note. Illuminated by the orange horizon, he reads, "I am sorry for the quick leave, but my family has encountered trouble and we can no longer stay here. I will always remember you." The note, stained with tears, is quickly ripped apart, as Myro begins to run to the burrow of Rosane and her family. By the time of his arrival, they had already left. Myro falls to his knees, surrounded by the ashes of what was once their farm. *A single tear splashes on the ground next to Myro. He sits and ponders what the real reasoning for her leaving- something he never learned. Next his mind wanders to a common spot for him, when he moved out and his dream starts to become reality.* Throwing a bag full of clothes, food, quills, and other items, Myro reaches his arms around his father again. "Ye know son, we may not have always seen eye to eye, but I want ye to know I love ye." Myro smiles and replies, "I won't be to far, but I will miss ye." Opening the door, he waves to his father, then begins striding to his new burrow, excited for the opportunity at a new life. Arriving at the small hill that hides his home, he hastily head inside. It was faintly furnished, but fit his needs. Before unpacking, he set down his bag and pulled out a large leather bound book, a quill, and a small cup of a dark ink. Sitting down, he begins writing, about many things. Short stories of romance, change, history, anything that could come to his mind. String words together, forming sentences, paragraphs, and stories would calm his mind. This is his querencia, a place that he could escape too. The only piece of work that he made public was a romance poem, and though it was well liked, was not well known, and really never made it out of the Vale. After that, Myro adopted the name "Myro the Wordsmith," for his peaked skill in writing. *Myro slowly closes his eyes, thinking of other, less notable memories. He has been living here for four years, with little to show for it. Now is his time to put his dream of starting a newspaper, and being an author into motion.* Physical Apperence Myro is about and average height and weight for halflings. He has hazel eyes, and sharp cheekbones. Short brown hair, and long sideburns cover most of his head. Like most of his race, he wears no shoes, but commonly wears overalls, over a thin undershirt. What are your characters ambitions?: Myro wishes to start a newspaper company and write novels. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Although Myro is more welcoming of other races then most halflings, he still has that hesitation, and this may impact his willingness to go to far away lands. Open-Response-Questions Anwser at least two of the below questions with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? *Myro stalks the streets of Arethor, staying out of the large groups, and inches between alleys and fences, when a distinct voice rises above the rest. Tuning in his ears, Myro hears, "I be sellin' many goods! Come and get t'e best items! I got swords, and writin' supplies!" *At those words, Myro slips uneasily through the crowd to the dwarf, whom is selling a small amount of wares on a carpet that is laid out on the road. Most of the items were in poor condition, and worth litte, but a particular item caught the eye of Myro. A large feather that came down to a sharp point, that could prove to be a very good writing utensil. Nervous with the unfamiliar dwarf, Myro speaks softly, "How much fer that quill there?" The dwarf looks up with surprise and replies, "Aye, t'at be," pondering in his head a moment he continues, "Twenty-five minas." Myro shakes his head at the ridiculous price, but hoping to avoid confrontation, does not barter and just says, "I'll take it," in a slightly agitated voice. *The two finish the transaction, and the dwarf seems pleased with the outcome. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? -Skip- Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: *Myro walks through the quite forest, only the occasional chirp of a bird would break the silence. He grins, taking a deep breathe of the fresh forest air of Malinor. A large crack, followed by a shriek rang through the air. Immediately, Myro leaped behind the shrubbery lining the side of the roads and hid from the person that disrupted the otherwise tranquil lands. Peering over the bushes, an elderly human is spotted, sprawled out on the path, surrounded by shattered wood, and fallen minas. Seeing no immediate danger, Myro slowly creeps out off the bushes, and goes near the man. From the ground he groans, and mumbles, "'elp... I can't get up...," in a weak voice. *Weary, Myro leans over, and helps the old man up. He leans against a tree, as Myro picks up a large branch to make do for a walking stick. He then proceeds to pick up the minas. Handing the items to the man, Myro quietly says, "Here ye go." The man excitedky takes the items, "T'ankyou halfling, you have helped me a great deal. T'ankyou again." The elderly man says his regards they both continue on their own road.
