Recovering The Ancient Tongue Of The Elves.

That doesn't make much sense, but okay. Why not use the languages Tolkien already had in place? -

Is this tolkien's original language or something else entirely? Also anyone on the server learning the dialect of Quenya? I'd much like to rollplay with someone in elvish on the server. -
Ahh, thanks for letting me know. :3

I've been watching the application forum, and apps that were posted but 10 minutes ago are getting accepted, whereas apps from yesterday have not been viewed by a mod yet. any explanation for this?

In-Character Details Character Name: Rimbor Elensar Character Race: Elvish Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Rimbor's past is unknown to him, and is forever a motivator of quest and query. He awoke in a bed of Elandriel, only to find tattered garments and a crumpled parchment on his person. On the parchment was a crude drawing of him (failing to portray his deep green eyes and fair hair) and a scrawling type proclaiming his name and a bounty from some far off land. An older elf, of 2,000 or so, entered the room he was resting in. She informed him that she had healed his wounds, namely a contusion on the back of his head. He asked where he was and she told him. He tried to rack his brain for memory, some spark to bring back what he had been through. She he looked to be but a youngling, only about a hundred by the looks of it. After a fortnight in the old elves' house, he left with provisions for a journey, heading to the Capitol City of Malinor, in hopes of asking some of the folk there if they knew anything about the crude inscriptions on the parchment he carried. But more than that, as a young elf he still hungered for adventure, and for battles. His confusion about his past lead him through his journey, and onward. We join him as he is trekking to Malinor. What are your characters ambitions?: Rimbor's ambitions are mainly to find more about his past, but he hungers for adventure. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: http://imgur.com/XNFXB Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Not much else to say, really. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? * Approaches Shop "Hail!" I say in a slightly raised voice. The Dwarf turns around and glares at me a little, then, realizing the potential business, greets me. "What might you have for sale dear sir?" I say cordially. The dwarf responds by showing me his stock, a fine collection of elvish (I wince a little, wondering where he got them from) blades and bows. I pace around the shop and inspect the products before making my way to the counter with a short curved dagger with an inscription of: "Gurth an Glamhoth!" (Death to the din-horde) I chuckle a bit as I hand the Dwarf his money, along with a coin or two extra. I wink at him as I leave the shop, sheathing my new blade. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Hearing the Orcs cries, I string my bow with an arrow, and sneak towards the sound. I round the bend to see the Dwarf and his attacker, and I quickly let loose a warning shot at the Orc, and the arrow whizzes past his ear. The Orc looks at me with an angered snarl and begins a charge towards me. I let fly another arrow aimed at his face, but his bobbing running pattern causes the arrow to fly straight over his head. Less than four meters from me now, I string and launch another arrow, this one flies straight for his forehead. A look of terror flashes over his face and he attempts to doge. The arrow instead lodges itself in his chest and knocks him off his charge course. I approach him and, with my right foot planted firmly on his chest, send an arrow into his head. I stow my bow and approach the Dwarf. "Hail! What business brings a Dwarf to these parts, so far after the sun has settled?" He responds quickly, frightened. I offer to escort him to his next destination, but out of pride he refuses and I, not meaning to be pushy, continue on my way. For the next stretch of road, my ears are at the ready, listening for any other hostiles in the area, so as to assure the Dwarf's safety. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless (* defenseless) man. What does your character do?: I quickly kneel and collect the coins into their pouch. I set down the pouch and help the old man up, inquiring as to his purpose on the road at such an age. He replies as I fetch him a stick from the side of the road. I acknowledge his explanation as I hand him his bag of coin. "Dear sir, would it ease you if I were to accompany you on your path?" He says that it's very kind of me to offer, but he refuses. Nevertheless, I continue on with him for the rest of the evening, laying his camp for him before continuing on under nights guise. Thank you for your time, -Moonarus
