In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Playing Out of Character and obtaining knowledge I shouldn't be aware of to gain an unfair advantage using that knowledge In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: The act of forcefully performing an action that someone else has no chance to react to, I usually call it "God-Modding" In-Character Details Character Name: Korluf Character Race: Human Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: -Description- Wearing a red and black checkered shirt with suspenders, brown leather pants, brown gloves and boots. He has dark brown hair with a dark brown beard and moustache and deep green eyes. He is 5ft 8" tall . He's 21 years old. He's a resourceful and kind hearted person (for a Human), having been raised by a wise Dwarven Lumberjack. -Background- Korluf hails from a distant mountain range somewhere in the farest reaches of Kal'Karik where he grew up a lone child being raised by a wise, old Dwarven Lumberjack by the name of Duln. Shortly after birth, his homeland and people were invaded and destroyed by an unknown force in a matter of hours. Having somehow survived for 5 days amongst the rubble, a wandering Lumberjack (Duln) heard a baby crying in the distant ruins of a large town. After digging through the rubble for a good while, Duln unearthed a dust and muck covered Human baby. Several days later, Duln had arrived back at his woodland cave with the baby wrapped in a leather sack in his arms. After spending alot of time travelling with the baby he had decided to name it Korluf, after his own grandfather. Since there were no Human settlements in the region he decided to adopt the child as his own and raise it under his care. 20 Years later... Korluf awoke on his 21st Birthday to the sound of a crackling fire, the smell of meat roasting and a single note above his bed that read the following -"Korluf It's time ye set out into the world on yer own. I've done all I can to raise ye but now it's yer chance to make a name for yerself. Make me proud boy Duln-" So he set out on his own, with nothing but the clothes on his back and the knowledge of his Dwarven mentor, towards Arethor where he hopes to seek other humans and learn more. What are your characters ambitions?: To build and maintain a fully fledged Lumbermill Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/993/korluf.jpg Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Not much more I could say, unless I get questions Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? : As you approach the dwarf his eyes widen and he attempts to straighten his stall in a hurry "W-well met friend! What can I get for you?" The dwarf speaks in a rough, shaky voice. Clearly he didn't expect to see me approach. "I'm afraid I have no money to buy your goods with, my dwarven friend, but perhaps I can help spread word of your business to others? No offence of course but it doesn't seem like anyone is taking interest in your goods" I lean on his stall with my hand and watch as his eye widen even further as he returns my request with a surprising stare. "I-I don't know what to say! How could I ever repay you for this kind deed?" The dwarf now on his toes seeming eager to help. "Nothing at all, my friend, just promise m you'll never give up on your business. Who knows, I may even be back one day to purchase some items from you" I offer a hand to the dwarf and he reaches up to shake it with a firm grip. "I promise sir! I'll be open every day to hopefully meet you again!" He beams at me as I walk off into the busy crowd in the streets. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? :As the Orc's voice becomes louder and he begins pushing the dwarf back against a tree I make a quick decision. I grab my axe from my belt and hurl it at the tree, causing a loud thud as it sinks into the trunk of the tree and making the Orc jump back a few paces. "Who did that?!?!" The orc yells into the dark as I approach the tree and free my axe, wielding it at the Orc. "Just a friend of Dwarves, and I don't like what you're doing here. Either you leave now or I become really accurate with this axe" I brandish my axe in a position to hurl it if need be. "Grr...fine, the Dwarf will live...for now" Looking truly beaten (and unarmed) the Orc turns and walks into the dark. "Th-thank you sir! That scum would have taken all I had if you hadn't turned up!" He smiles widely and begins shaking your hand. "Anytime my friend, that one is nothing but trouble to be attacking an unarmed one at night". We exchange kind words and say our goodbyes, the Dwarf trotting off in the oppisite direction of the Orc as I continue into the night. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: One of the coins rolls in your direction and hits your boot. You glance at the money, kicking it aside you run to the aid of the man. As you pick him up and sit him on a nearby tree stump he begins to speak "Oh! Thank you young one! That stick was looking for an excuse to let me down! I'm only glad it happened with you nearby!" The old man beams at then suddenly begins to panic as he realises his money is strewn across the road. "My money! That money is for a birthday gift for my granddaughter!" He attempts to get up but I push him back down "You stay there sir, I'll go get the money for you" I hurry over to the road, grab his money bag and begin to scoop the money up. As the last of the coins are collected up I return them to the old man who is very grateful. As he sits counting his money I decide to tear some cloth off my shirt and repair his walking stick "Here you go, good as new" I hand the renewed stick to the man and he tests it out, hobbling up and down for a moment. "Thank you kind one! Have a few coins for your effort please!" He hands me 5 coins and hobbles on down the road.
