  1. Name: Aldred Dever McName: SpicyLemur This is what I get when I try to send you the money:
  2. Out-Of-Character Information Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: SpicyLemur How old are you?:13 Time-Zone: UTC+10:00 Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I have already setup another character on Lord of the Craft, played on about 6 other servers as well. How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: Google Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/82686-application-for-spicylemur/ [denied] but same character was later on accepted. Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): Yes Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: Yes Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: Acting as someone else, usually of the players own creation. Set in a made up world that can resemble that of one in real life or fiction. Meta-gaming: knowing something that your character doesn’t then expressing that knowledge in your character. (if that made any sense) Power-emoting: To force actions upon other people usually without their consent. Example: Regis hits Ascrese over the head. There was no space for Ascrese to take action because Regis already took up all the actions except for the after-math of the event. The right thing to do was to say: Regis attempts to hit Ascrese over the head with a stick that was held in his hand. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Aldred Dever Current Age: 36 Sub-race (if any):Northener Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Aldred grew up near Salvus on a Cliffside home with only his dad as his mother died from the plague found in the water when she was away on a job trip, he was only 3. When he was 12 he ran away from home after his father stormed in drunk and frightening. He sat by the rushing river but accidentally fell into the river, he woke up later that night by an old man picking up his weak and soaked body, the man asked him if he had any family… He pretty much said no, and he has regretted that moment his entire life, but then wonders what would have happened otherwise? He would not be the same person. The old man who picked him up from that river trained the boy till he was 18; he grew to love the scent of blood dripping down his nose and throat. He moved out of the man’s house at the age of 19, but he wasn’t ready, he had always slowly moved further apart from Tentis(Old man) since he started training and usually sat on the top of the roof, staring at the hills on one side, and Salvus on the other side. He had always wanted to know what happened to his father after he left, but at the age of 21, that curiosity left his heart. He discovered documentation of his father’s death, it was by suicide, and he was shattered, he always thought he was the reason for his death, his father making one tiny mistake that made him lose his entirety of family. After that Aldred became moving on, but very slowly still. His life became normal and quiet, living in an empty home. He discovered bookshops all over the cities he discovered and always tried to find books about magic, more specifically arcane magic, but he still enjoyed any old book that he could find. He has grown a big library for himself and uses it to cover up he has no friends. At the age of 36, he realises he hasn’t practised combat skills in years. He has knowledge of most moves and stances but can’t put it into practise. He has the abilities to teach and have an apprentice though that will be unlikely. (Sorry for the sad story to mood up your day) Ambitions for the Future: He wants to become a blacksmith, own his own store and settle down with the one he loves in a standalone house near a great city, nestling near the blazing brick fireplace, watching his kid play with wooden toys on a red carpet down by his feet. His wife monitoring the counter as he masterfully crafts swords for the customers. Maybe one day he will finely get a grip of what happened to him and accept it, move on and live his life the way he has always wanted to live it. He also writes diaries and books but wants to start selling them to the public. Personality: He has never had a good sense of humour, considering he never laughs and only the funniest of jokes will show his nice side, he is stubborn and complacent. He can be a loving character with charm and grace. But he is also pessimistic, always believing there is no honour in this forsaken world” He does not see the light of things. Skills: He specialises in heavy weapon combat and hand-to-hand combat. Usually good at taking consideration of others and can sometimes make out their emotion. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): He has a pale face and skin. A button nose, light green eyes with a slight tint to them. He has an Irish accent as well that mixes with a British accent. http://i.imgur.com/nqQz03e.png[/img] http://imgur.com/nqQz03e Any other details you wish to share about your character: old man didn’t teach Aldred much literature at all, only specifically taking combat as his teachings. He still has good literature skills, taking side-brakes to read numerous books (not about magic most of the time though). He also always tries to go out of the boundaries of what northeners are like. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Aldred sees the man in his dark clothes; he sticks around to see what he’s doing, leaning on a pole with his arms crossed. He knows if he sees something happening that’s definitely not good, he will try to approach the area cautiously, something new for him though which is why he plans his approach, trying to remember and create lines for him to say and trying to plan out body posture, in thought of how not to look aggressive. Luckily it never comes to that and he moves on across the narrow line of road he was on. But he still felt he needed to do something. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: Aldred pretends he doesn’t notice the two bandits and the old man until he’s 5 metres away from the clearing. He then stands still for a while, looking nervous, he turns around to see the old man, and he looks calm. But still noticeable in trouble. Aldred gets agitated at himself, this would be completely stupid, a reward is not even likely from the man. He starts to shiver slightly. Looking down at his stressed and sweaty fists, he feels like he’s about to crush his hands, so angry with the bandits and himself, trying not to blame it on the old man, he’s so confused. He turns around, nearly starting to jog, his mind goes beserk: “stupid, stupid, stupid”. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: Aldred walks up to the stall, you say nothing verbally, but the man can tell you have noticed his collection of food items. The man says to Aldred: “Ah yes, food you are searching for, is that right?” Aldred nods and quickly but patiently says: “How much for the fish stew?” The old man nods in approval of Aldred’s choice and asked in a mysterious sounding tone of voice: “Ahh, good choice, good choice. But how much will yah be will’in to haggle for it?” Aldred gets a little nervous, not sure whether to go for what it looks worthy of to him and disrespect the old man, or go for a higher price and risk being haggled out of his minas. He took about 7 seconds before responding with: “Let’s go for 1.70?” The man looked pleased with himself, with Aldred thinking to himself that with age comes a sweet look. Aldred paid the old man, quickly discovering the old man’s tactic, and walked back up the road in which he came from.

At the ages of 16, right until now, he sometimes went into the forest with some sort of fabric and place it down with all his favourite foods, His love for food was unbreakable, his father, Taetrem, always said he could be the worlds best taste tester. Tendril, at the age of 17, got mugged for all the money he had on him, He wowed to his dad to never follow the same path… He lied. The next week, he pushed a man in his 50s over and stole the food he carried in a basket. He had regretted it ever since, every time he remembered that day, he always said to himself “ Life should not be full of regrets, but life lessons from them”. He followed his dream of not having a job at the age of 21, when he found an old abandoned house in a clearing of the woods. He new only some basic carpentry, but he knew his ingenuity would help him. He did not need minas to live, he studied at libraries on how to survive, even though most of that information was for if you got lost, little paragraphs of facts eventually added up to him knowing how to actually live in the woods. It took him three years until he finally patched up the old house, even though in that time he kept having to come back to the city. His enthusiasm for farming played a crucial role in helping him live off the land. Now, to this very day, he still comes back to the city, he still has the same kind of mind. Ambitions for the Future: he already has what he wants Personality: He is very wise and does not like fighting, he enjoys walking around the forest looking for anything for his next supper. Skills: swordsmanship, hand-to-hand, farming (basically living off the land and getting protected without the cities help) Appearance: Gold and green robe with purple eyes and a bit chubby. Grey, full head of hair and moustache and beard.http://imgur.com/PhEsfUS Any other details you wish to share about your character: I want to base him off Uncle Iroh(off Avatar TLA) he is my role model. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: I first check to see how the guards react, They both get thrown into each other and tipped down the stairs, I instantly react to this slyly and run silently up to a column, I then run up to him again and tackle him down and call for assistance. He is down in a special lock that takes barely no effort for him, but extremely hard to get out of. Answer: I come around the back of the cottage, avoiding the clearing and climb onto the roof of the cottage, then using the base of my hand to hit a weak point in the neck that will stun them and send them crashing to the ground unconscious. He used the bandits bandana to use as handcuffs for them. The man then thanked Tendril and then Tendril escorted the bandits and the old man to the city. 3. Answer: Tendril walks up to the stall and asks if the man sells any cups: Tendril: Excuse me but do you sell any cups or pottery? Man: I have a range of different sizes and shapes for you, any specific kind? Tendril: No, I will just need something that works. What about that one at the back, how about 10 minas? Man: 15? Tendril: 12? Man: Deal. Tendril walks off feeling pleased about the sale, Although it looked tougher than it felt in his hands.

The Skin: http://imgur.com/PhEsfUS What I’d like to say about my character: If I couldn’t explain this in the bio then I’ll just say it: I want my character kind of based upon Uncle Iroh off of avatar TLA. Sounds silly, but he’s what I’ve Always wanted to be. Open-Response-Questions: Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? “hello there, what is your name?” “My name I Lee, do you see anything of interest?” Lee didn’t seem to like the look of Tendril, But he acted like he was friendly. Tendril could see in the mans eyes this and then Tendril studied Lee for a bit and finally said: “Can I have that mug for 20 minas?” The man was surprised, they both knew the mug wasn’t even near that amount of minas, but Lee wasn’t going to flinch at the offer. “Um, thank you, im very grateful for this” “No, thank you, you’re the one selling” You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Tendril walks up to the orc, watching out for his actions and movements, making sure he will not disrupt the discussion. He asks the orc what this is all about: “Excuse me sir, is there something wrong?” The orc was in near rage, punching the wall near him and nearly punching the man too. “STOP!” The orc and the dwarf was in shock. “ There is no point in your actions, all of what your doing here is only making pain, and regret, for both of you!” The orc was still in shock from before, but still not fearful enough to attempt a hammering blow to Tendril. The orc makes a right arm then left arm swing to Tendril, Tendril dodges both moving back then twirling around the orc and makes performs an arm lock. The orc collapses. Tendril then offers a hand to the orc, but the orc was too frustrated to accept. The monk woke up at that point and handled the rest. The dwarf said: “Oh thank you, he would of killed me if not for you” “ I expected even a little bit of good from him” Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Tendril sees the man stumble to the ground, He rushes to the old man to help him up, he then picks up the split bag of minas and uses an old bag out of his robe that was slightly too big but could do the job, he pours the minas into the old bag and gives it back to the old man and says: “I’m sorry but I don’t have a walking stick you can have, but after that, you deserve a new one” He then gets out his own bag of money and goes to the nearest stall that sold new walking sticks and buys one that was strong but light enough for the man. He then gives the walking stick to the man. “Accidents happen, but should be treated as lessons, rather than mistakes”
