  1. Just now, ~Gandalf~ said:

"Woi would deh Prophets choose anuder Prophet..? Dey should onleh vote en ah Hoi Prophet an' let em nominate ah prophet...." States Darid well wondering Kal'Omith.

Aldal, overhearing because he is omnipresent, would reply.

"Weh choose tehr elect wifout bias, by majoriteh vote, based on activiteh. Eht would beh wrong tehr let anyun but these lads 'ave a chance in deh runnin', they 'ave excelled in their work. As there es currentleh nae 'igh Prophet, deh election o' Prophets falls tehr deh Council o' Prophets."

  2. Aldal Ireheart stands upon the mighty steps of the Temple in Kal'Omith, speaking in a loud, bass voice to all the dwedmar of Urguan assembled there.

"Sons of Urguan! Followers of the Brathmordakin! I speak to you now, for the second time, on the subject of the clergy's leadership. In my first speech, I outlined the prophecies made by my fellow Prophets and I regarding the deliverance of a true High Prophet. A noble dwed of outstanding valor and faith, with greater interest in the preservation of our religion than in personal gain. Since then, three such dwarves have done incredible work in the name of the Brathmordakin. It seems that these three candidates are the final selection of the gods for their marvelous plan. I intend to step down from my position upon the selection of the High Prophet, meaning that two Prophet positions will be vacant. We have decided that these two positions will be filled by the two of the three candidates we name here today who do not make it all the way to the position of High Prophet. I wish that I could have involved myself more in the renewal of the church, but I hope I will be remembered, at the least, for beginning the process and fanning the flames for the incredible resurgence of faith I'm sure these candidates will bring about. Without further comment, the three dwarves chosen by the gods are Morug Goldhand, Baldin Frostbeard and Wulfgar Grandaxe! Congratulations to all of these candidates. We know that the Brathmordakin have been guiding their recent work closely, and will continue to do so. It is absolutely imperative that these candidates prove the true extent of their faith in the coming few stone days. When a decision has been reached by the current Prophets, I will make my third and final speech to all of you, naming your High Prophet. May the Brathmordakin smile on you all, and be sure to assist the chosen dwarves in whatever way you can; the gods will it."

  5. Honestly surprised Hiebe isn't a GM already, he's the perfect candidate. I've known him IRP since I joined in Anthos, and he's always been there to support and advise newcomers. IRL he's a really cool guy, with the right attitude to take on this role. +1,000,000

  6. Aldal Ireheart, Prophet of Anbella, makes his slow and methodical approach to the podium in the grand temple of the dwedmar of Urguan. He coughs into his good hand, adjusting his robes slightly as silence falls upon the expectant crowd. With a deep voice, his accent clearly concealed with some effort, he begins to speak.

"People of The Grand Kingdom, proud sons of Urguan. With the recent retirement of Darid Irongut from the position of High Prophet after his long years of faithful and fruitful service, the burden of electing his successor has fallen on the shoulders of the Council of Prophets. Long discussion was had, with much debate and deep prayer. However, no final decision has been reached as of yet. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has become clear that neither myself or my fellow Prophet, Tharggus, are capable of taking up this sacred role. Our third Prophet, Gror, cannot take up this glorious duty as he is already engaged in Legion tasks. The Brathmordakin work in mysterious ways, and it is increasingly evident that their will is for a new dwarf, a fresh candidate, to enact their commands. As such, the Council of Prophets will be assuming control of Da Kirkja Dverga until such a time as the true choice of our gods for this position becomes clear. Current members of the clergy, continue your sacred duty and forsake not your faith, and civilians who wish to devote your lives to the service of the gods, feel free to do so. Our meditation and deepest thought has revealed something to us, perhaps the word of Yemekar himself; the next High Prophet is to be of fresh blood, detached from previous ties. They are to restore Da Kirkja Dverga to its former glory, to bring about a new age of faith and wisdom for our proud people. They must not be motivated by personal gain, nor by the accumulation of wealth. If the counsel of the Council is true, then a humble dwed of true faith and passion will soon rise among our ranks. Until that day, pray to your gods for the beautiful restoration of the religion they have promised."

With that, the dwed falls silent, returning to his position among the other Prophets of Da Kirkja Dverga.

  7. Aldal lays a supportive hand on Darid's shoulder.

"Ah've been where ye are now. Oi've 'ad deh interest an' deh love fehr mah vocation fall apart at deh seams after a long tenure en deh position yeh've jus' left. Dunnae feel guilteh aboot this, ehr loike yeh've wronged deh clergy. 'Tis natural, an' necessary, otherwoise things would never progress. If yeh need any 'elp ehr advoice durin' this stage o' yehr loife, feel free teh ask meh, friend."

  8. I, Aldal Ireheart, nominate myself for the position of High Consul. Prior to this election, I have already built up a working relationship with the leaders of many foreign nations; having met with council members of Haelun'or, visited the ruling party of The Westerlands in their keep, and held long and fruitful discussion with the representatives of the Dark Elves. Not only have I accompanied the Grand King on diplomatic errands in recent years, but I have been negotiating treaties and pacts since I was a beardling. I aided in negotiating peace with Oren under Wulfgar Grandaxe, for those that will remember such times. In my youth I was both High Prophet and High Remembrancer, two positions which required frequent journeys to other nations and the recording of important legislation. I feel that all experience I have previously held will meld together nicely and make me a well-rounded, level-headed candidate. With my nomination, I would ensure cordial relations with as many nations as absolutely possible. I would use our recent vote of neutrality to great effect, allowing its momentum to continue and form various pacts and allegiances with those who are like-minded to us. I truly believe that this world is an interdependent one, and without cooperation, we are doomed to crumble.

  9. Aldal Ireheart is admitted past the guards, moving slowly into the senate chambers and taking his seat in the Ireheart chair.

"In deh absence o' Gror, oi will speak fehr deh clan, as Clan Elder. Let eht be known that deh Ireheart Clan call fehr peace. Oi know this decision is now inevitable, but oi mus' make our stance on deh matter clear. Furthermore, oi will nae sit idly by an' watch mah clan git slandered. Deh word honour is bein' thrown aboot foolishly. 'Tis 'onourable tehr ensure deh lasting prosperity o' our kingdom, not tehr spill deh blood of our young on deh rocks o' human soil once more. Suh, with deh pursuit o' 'onour en moind, weh vote fehr peace. If anyun 'as forsaken deh Mountain Alliance, eht is deh Frostbeards, 'oo 'ave turned against bof Irehearts an' Grandaxes in their call fehr bloodshed. We both 'ad our clan 'alls set afire by persons unkown recentleh, teh encourage a vote fehr war. Ef anyfing, this act o' belligerent terrorism will further unify us en favour o' peace. Oi will nae watch beardlings doie en deh name o' Horen's loyalty tehr us. Peace weh mus' 'ave, an' peace weh will 'ave."

  10. MC Name: Soggy365

    RP Name: Roark Doomforged

Reasoning for Applying: I've always wanted to play a challenging character, and given that I have always planned on sticking with the dwarves, a gritty, lore-based, "pure" Doomforged seemed like the obvious choice. I'll also need a main char whenever Aldal dies, so for now I'd be quite inactive on my DF. Whenever I have spare time between now and then, however, playing a Doomforged should be fun and a little different to my usual RP.

Do you accept to follow the rules of playing a Doomforged? I do.

    Bloodline: Hodir's Line.

Parents (Optional, only if you are playing a current member's child): Son of Norri Doomforged.

  11. Upon hearing the news, Aldal chokes up, remembering his adventures with the one Kha he had really gotten to know. He downs a flagon of ale, burps, and lets out a long, rumbling blast from his bagpipes, before singing in a hoarse voice the words taught to him by Onar Ireheart many centuries beforehand, "Amaziiiiiiiin' Graaaaace, 'ow sweet deh sound..."

  13. Aldal Ireheart stands before Rym ur Yemekar, addressing the small group.

"Lads, weh all bore witness to deh heretical madness o' dwedmar en deh Deeproads. Rym ur Yemekar will beh rampin' up efforts aginst heresy, an' together weh shall bring an end tehr false religious claims. Ah wunt everyone 'ere teh be part o' deh recruitment droive; weh need as maneh members as possible tehr aid us en our quest. 14. Aldal calls a meeting of his kinsmen, standing at the head of the table and awaiting silence.

"Moi friends, today a great blessin' 'as befallen us. Moi long lost son, born shortleh after moi memoreh loss maneh moons ago, 'as returned. 'Is name es Alden, an' 'e is an 'onourable an' talented young dwed. Oi welcome 'im back wif open arms, an' 'ope deh Kingdom brings 'im everything 'e 'as ever dreamed of!"

The Clan Elder raises a toast to his son, who appears from behind him, strikingly similar in appearance to his father.
