Once you have familiarized yourself with the lore, and read any guides you might need, you can write your application. Grammar and spelling is a must. Keep to complete sentences, and be original and MAKE SURE YOU LOVE YOUR CHARACTER. This is a must. You WILL not enjoy LotC if you're playing a character you don't like. I know this whole process seems complicated, but trust me, it's much better once you get started.
