    Character's Name:

             Vaerok

    Character's Age:

             32

Character's Original Race (N/A if not applicable):

             Human

    Transformed form:

             Ghoul

    Creator's MC Name:

             Ropceek

    Creator's RP Name:

             Swamp Drinker

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Ghouls are undead minions that are given the mockery of life back into their decaying forms by necromancers by binding their souls back into their rotting bodies. They resemble mortals, abet from being rotten husks that continue on from the horrid use of dark magics. Every ghoul created has the smell of death permeating from their forms, announcing to all of their origins by sense of smell. They lack all sensation of touch, taste and smell and do not require food or water to exist. They also harbor a festering hatred for the living and undeath has driven all signs of sanity from them.  Ghouls also have a vulnerability to fire, if set ablaze they'd need to either douse the flames by submerging in water or rolling upon the ground to put out the fires before being consumed utterly. Blunt weapons also prove fatal to their brittle bones, causing major damage to the point of splintering, or outrightly smashing them into dust if struck hard enough. These undead minions retain the same strength as their living counterparts and may adorn armor and use weaponry, though will always have a shambling appearance to their movements.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

Vaerok was a Human soldier who had his first taste of war, though being green he lost his life in the midst of skirmish with a rivaling nation. Where he was left to rot and decompose upon the surface of the ground, leaving a hollowed husk trapped within armor. The skin that was once so warm with the flush of life now remains dried and pulled tightly to the skeletal features like parchment paper. The suit of chainmail worn now hangs loosely to the undead form as it would rattle and shake unevenly whenever the creature lurked around. Hollowed eye sockets burn with a tiny pin of red glow, showing the ongoing hatred of life that once shown through eyes that are missing.

  2.    Deep within the bowels of a subterranean room resided the gauntly figure of a dwedess, slumped and inactive within the mindset of mourning for a piece of a puzzle never to be regained. Consistent pain and agony now ebbed like a throbbing, open wound that ceased to heal on its accord. The crackling of flames within the fireplace burned behind the darkened chair, which was treated as much of prison, like her mind. How much could be taken until another thread snapped was the true question while sitting alone, frozen from the outside world with only misery and loneliness as a companion.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Blood Magic

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Blood Magic is born from the use of harnessing genus, a source of power that lingers in the blood of all sentient beings harboring greater souls. With differing units of genus being harbored between races and creatures, it allows for the use of genus to be utilized for certain purposes.   The constant strain placed on all but a few creatures, the user would have an assortment of mental and/or physical traits gained over time that would hinder them negatively. With a shortened lifespan greatly hindering the users too, the trade off in most circumstances is harsh but a benefit to those who can properly manipulate the genus stored away. With runes of powers varying from elemental, existence, totality, and force the blood mage is able to combine them into a meaningful effect that can have many differing outcomes. Either being cast by themselves or needing a group of blood mages to be victorious in what they’re attempting to birth forth into the mortal realm.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Elemental Rituals: The simplest of rituals that can be cast by a blood mage, these are fueled by elemental runes, each having a direct application when being presented upon either an object, or living being.

Ensorcell Material: With aligning certain elemental runes to an object, various outcomes can be imbued with the use of a ritual circle, genus offered into the ritual and intentful design, such as using the air and dark runes together would bring about an object would be exceedingly light in the hands of the wielder, yet far less lethal. Where the combination of the dark rune would distort its image would be distorted, as if being viewed from the surface of water. Certain runes cannot be paired together, such as the light rune and dark as they’d conflict with each other and how they operate.

Ensorcell Flesh: This ritual allows for a single person to have an aspect of an elemental rune to be bound to them, either by having the symbol drawn onto their body in blood, or outright carving the design into their flesh. It is conducted by having a ritual circle drawn out, the relevant rune placed upon the target’s body and feeding the ritual circle the proper amount of genus. With a roll determining if it’s successful, each rune would have its own effect upon the person, this affecting them mentally and visibly.

Summoning Rituals: This ritual is best summarized by allowing the object, or creature to be yanked forth to the location of the ritual circle, or opening portals to far off lands, even dimensions. Below are examples, and brief explanations to how they function.

Hail: This ability, when conducted by a group of skilled blood mages allows them to either summon a single creature, or object from another location, when using the best description of runes possible to describe said object, or creature within the ritual circle, a chance is taken in an attempt to bring the creature or object forth through sheer willing of the mages. Of course, a roll must be made to see if either a success, or failure was cast. A failure can have detrimental effects.

Embark: Only the boldest of blood mages attempt this ability when conducting a ritual circle. If successful, the group of mages can tear a hole into the fabric of reality itself, creating a portal to other dimensions and lands. If successful, a limited time remains for the portal to remain open. With a PK clause being accepted by the mages after entering, there’s no guarantee to their safety, which is why it’s so seldomly cast in the first place.

Creation Rituals: Rightfully named for the direct purpose the rituals serve, either by outright crafting something borne of other magics in unison, or by affecting certain areas with altering effects. Below are examples, and brief explanations to how they function.

Invent: This ritual has the ability to take other magics, binding them into a blood mage circle and producing either an object imbued with differing types of magics, or creating entities that are borne from the union of the said ritual and magics, such as combining aspects of golemancy with certain aspects of voidal magic. Creating a whole new being in the process of being successful.

Quiet: When being cast correctly in a ritual circle has the ability to either muffle sounds in an area, or completely cut all sound from exiting an area deemed within the ritual’s restricted space.

Force Rituals: Force rituals are based on bringing forth changes in a physical sense, whether that be with altering the lands through terrifying natural disasters, intermingling physically altering voidal spells to last beyond their ‘natural’ cycle of a voidal mage casting, bringing someone to a stable stance of medical condition, or affecting weapons to seemingly hunger for genus-rich blood itself. Below are examples, and brief explanations to how they function.

Gilding: A ritual cast by placing a certain weapon, or tool into the circle, which by offering certain runes can cause the weapon to rip and spray blood from a wound, amplifying the pain felt to the level of pouring salt into the injury. Though no more blood loss occurs than normal, when torn free, or cut through, the genus enriched blood sprays out in a theatrical display, spraying to coat a nearby area. Blood will also stick to the surface of the weapon, as if the object was attempting to consume the genus-rich liquid.

Call Calamity: With the rune of power being utilized, a group of blood mages can conjure up massive natural disasters, these being listed as firestorms, tsunami’s, earthquakes, and tornadoes. Although as impressive as they are for causing unbridled destruction, they cannot be used for targeting cities, or towns when mass crowds of mortals reside. The ritual must be carried out by five blood mages and a roll must be done to determine the outcome. Any shaman competing against the blood mages can roll also to lessen the effects upon the landscape.

Spiritspell: With the union of blood magic and voidal magic, many differing outcomes can be brought into play, anything from an undying voidal flame that blocks a doorway, to a building being held aloft in midair by telekinetic magic. These can have durations and limitations placed by an ST member via a sign, to which when failing can have varying effects upon the surrounding area.

Engorge: A blood mage has the ability to bind strength for the sacrifice of their blood magic abilities for a certain time, allowing armor and weapons to be utilized to their full potential. Two, tier 4 blood mages are needed, along with certain runes drawn into a ritual circle. The rune of power is inscribed upon a piece of clothing, or armor worn, to which they may accept the surge of energy bestowed upon them for combative reason, or overall strength. Of course, a roll must be made to see if the ritual is a success or not.

Seal: An effective ability through the use of a ritual circle and certain runes, allowing 1-3 blood mages to ‘heal’ an individual on varying degrees of wounds inflicted upon their mortal coil. The individual who is undergoing the process would be put through terrible amounts of pain as their body literally knits itself back together, causing gnarled scars to appear where their wounds would previously be located.

Bloodbending: Bloodbending can best be summarized by the blood mage having a direct effect on themselves, or those around their vicinity. Below are examples, and brief explanations to how they function.

Augmentation: This ability allows a blood mage to essentially yank the genus straight from blood that had been drained from the body of a sentient being or spilt nearby, burning away the liquid and transferring it directly into potential fuel for any ritual, or ability that can be summoned up. The mist alters from the reddened mist once the blood evaporates, to that of the wielder’s own aura color, which instantly is absorbed into their being. Only 1 unit can be used at a time and must be nearby, or touched, mattering on tier level of the caster over the course of 4 emotes.

Hemorrhaging: The ability simply works by causing the target, or targets, depending on the tier level of the caster to bleed, or cease bleeding from any seen orpheus. This can be nostrils, ears, eyes and mouth, or multiple places listed here. It leaves no true danger to the victim per say but can be quite a useful tool when causing distractions and intimidation. Mattering on the tier of the caster, one may or may not have to keep sole concentration, or eye contact on the victim, or victims.

Scabbing: Scabbing allows for blood mages to mend small cuts, mostly when being done performing rituals that have the need of bleeding into circles of power. It’s also a handy ability in cleaning up any ritual circle that had previously been used for a certain goal. With the sound of sizzling, any blood touched would evaporate into a reddened mist, leaving no scene to the previous sight of crimson liquid being present.

Siphoning: This ability allows the transferring of blood, from one individual of the same race to another, so long as an open cut is present in both. Essentially allowing a blood transfusion to occur with the blood mage willing it so. The tier of the mage directly affects how much blood can be given from the donor to the individual receiving it.

Tearing: A gruesome ability that a blood mage may invoke upon a nearly deceased target. When a victim is on their last breaths of life, the caster can cause their body to rip open, showering the area in visceral fluids as their body is torn apart in varying ways, mainly brought to reality by the caster themselves. This, of course, must be OOCly approved by the victim in order to be carried out. This ability can only be completed by a tier four and tier five caster.

Invoke Ignorance: A single blood mage can cast this ritual with certain runes being placed into a circle. Simply put, it allows a blood mage to strip away all knowledge pertaining to blood magic, severing their ties with the magic too. Essentially allowing them to forgo the aging process and live their life afterwards without the additional worries that are brought forth with the magic being bound to their mortal coil.

Rune of Insight:  Not a true ritual, but a means of allowing a blood mage, once reaching tier 4 to bring forth others into the fold of becoming a blood mage themselves.  When painting a combination of mysterious runes upon either a mirror, or reflective surface, they unknowingly contact the Archon, and when the to-be student touches the imbued surface, they become awakened to the thrumming of magical potential within not only their own body, but others who hold genus. Allowing them to begin on the journey of learning all that can be taught from their teacher.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    Hemorrhaging Example:

*Charsi sat in the crowd, her glowing eyes remaining locked forward on one figure nearby though as the calming calamity of company spurred many distractions.*

[!] The night carried on with the festivities that ushered onwards by cheerful tones of laughter, talk and music. Across the room sat a Dark Elf, a lanky individual who had enjoyed far too many wine flasks, his attention drawn to the sides as friends lingered about, happy to take his attention whenever possible.

*Charsi, still sitting some meters away kept her eyes upon the Darkie, her left hand’s index finger twitching ever so slightly now and then through the passing seconds. *

[!] The Dark Elf, now chuckling gleefully, still lost in the music, chatter and movement of those around himself. The dark elf was unaware of the constant stares cast his way from the Doomforged sitting a short distance away, continued to plague his presence.

*Charsi hadn’t budged, like a portrait the Dwedess kept unflinching concentration upon her target through all the commotion going around the room. *

[!] The drunkard of an Elf halted his moment of ecstasy to stare downwards, only the subdued gasps of shock being drowned out by their guest starting to give way to what had begun to transpire. The man’s eyes and ears started to run with a faint trickling of blood. The Elf wiped frantically to smear the blood away, though in their blurred sense of sight and judgment, they’d only cause a mess to himself for those sitting close by

*Charsi stood up after smirking at the blood-coated Elf, turned and made her way through the busy crowd, leaving the building confusion and chaos to end on its own accord, along with pocketing a few minas that were taken from a table as attentions were pried from the gambling that had ceased to continue nearby*

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

*Charsi stood within the dullfully-lit antichamber, the layout being circular in design and innumerous candles were lit to keep the darkness at bay. Centered in the midst of the room, she looked across at the other Dwarf who stood with burning eyes much like her own. * “Thios wioll beh yer firs’ real tes’ o’ wha’ I beh teachin yeh so far. Now, takeh heed en wha’ I beh dewin so yeh can try lateh on wit’ yer mea’s.” *Kneeling down, the dwedess took her own dagger from a boot sheath, making a small cut along her left index finger and went to drawing out the rune of Mortality. *

[!] *The Doomforged student looked on with a mixture of curiosity and sickening realization of the bloodied design taking shape along the floor. They continued to hold their attention to every motion Charsi made with her finger, drawing lines until completing the rune of Mortality. *

*Once Charsi completed the main ritual circle, she then went to drawing a rune of Fire to the upper right corner, attaching it to the original rune.* “Thios beh teh rune o’ Fire, et beh havin maneh purposehs en teh days ta come, fer now, weh will useh et ta giove a shir’ warmpt’ wit’out aneh real mea’s o’ supplyin et naturalleh.”

[!] *The Doomforged student nodded a few more times, kneeling down, yet staying back half a meter from the drawn ritual circle. * “So et will start etself when yeh put the object ien teh middle?”

“Nah.” *Charsi flattly replied, reaching to her side, she took up a plain, black wool shirt, then gingerly placed it atop the rune of Fire. * “Makeh sureh tha’ teh objec’ yeh wis’ ta ensorcell beh placeh’d hereh. Dew no’ sit inside teh ritua’ circle eitheh. Onceh thios beh readeh, yeh then touc’ teh outside o’ teh ritua’ circle ta activateh et, makeh sureh yeh dew so wit’ yer han’ tha’ beh havin teh cut.”

[!] *The Doomforged student took note of everything Charsi had said and showed with dire interest. * “I beh seein now… So how yeh beh knowin ef et works?”

*Charsi smiled, her face illuminated slightly by the burning aura escaping both eyes. “Goo’ questio’, yeh’ll beh knowin, trus’ meh, eitheh et wor’s, er somehthin’ will go wron’.” *With saying this, the Dwedess placed a hand down upon the edge of the circle and the ritual circle sprung to life, a deep thumming sound of power filled the stagnant air, and every line drawn glowed crimson with power...*

-A /roll20 is made, giving a 12 in total, plus 2 for a tier 5 blood mage. Resulting in 14, resulting in a successful ritual. -

*A flash of crimson light erupted, and just as quick as it happened, the light faded, leaving the room in its drearily lit condition as before. *

*Charsi reached down to take up the woolen shirt, feeling it between her fingers, a smirk appearing across her ashen lips for a brief time, then tossing it to the Doomforged student* “Hereh, see fer yersel’, thios’ll keep yeh warm durin aneh col’ adventurehs yeh beh takin upon.”

[!] *The Doomforged student caught the shirt, with bare hands, the shirt was indeed warm to the touch, warmer than what the cool room would offer naturally. * “Whoa… Et worked, et actualleh worked!” *He then slipped the shirt on after taking off his other upper attire. Now being ready for a trip into the cold north. *

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would first have a talk with the student that got out of line, bring up directly what had occurred when the powergaming instance had taken place and aim to correct it by reiterating the point by having a lesson to cover the magic’s ability and how to properly carry out all steps necessary in performing it correctly, if it happened during a lesson I’d simply bring it up oocly, then have them remote their character’s action to better suit the limitations of said spell and magic.

    Spoiler

With the coming of ages history often repeated itself, though at times a spark would ignite an inferno of change, like a wildfire sweeping across vast plains and forests. Consuming life entirely as the winds fueled the destruction further with every waking moment that passed. This is what was ushered within the beating heart of the Doomforged lassie after hearing of the betrayal of both Rhaezaiil and Brankhyn. It burned, seethed like the quaking of the earth itself, the pounding of blood that coursed through her mortal frame heightened by the fury of what the clan had dissolved into right under her nose.

Though in the passing minutes of hearing of the grim results of Rhaezaiil’s betrayal and death and the escape of Brankhyn from Urguan. It was clear a change was needed, and thus the mantle of the clan fell upon the ashen Dwedess’s shoulders. The heavy news was lifted after a communing within the halls of the Grand Chancellor’s room, the announcement  washing away the recent acquired doubts and fears like a wave of scorching violence, soon to give way to new growth much like how death can bring new life with fertile soil, so to would a new era of Doomforged rise from the ashes, rekindled by the beating of hearts.

The time of change was upon the clan as the scales had been tipped, new life would breathe into the Doomforged once more with the coming stone weeks and the guidance of Charsi Doomforged who now held the title of clan mother.

  6. "A good Dwed, honored, n' revered.. I onleh wis' I go' ta know teh dwed more in liofe, before hios deat'..."

She muttered, disgusted not only by the stain of darkened crimson that coated the floor within the halls of Urguan where his body once laid, but also by witnessing the act of taking his own life.

"Res' easeh in teh halls o' yer ancestehs brotheh.."

  7. Charsi, after hearing of such news fumed with anger and frustration in regards to the possibility
of bloodshed that threatened the new sunrises to come. She'd whittle at a hunk of wood, not even really focusing until a slip of the blade she used caught the edge of a finger. A welling of crimson bubbled up shortly after and the Dwedess halted to look down as her dulled nerves sent the pain to her senses.

"Fer far tew lon' have teh Uruks been mah close frien's n' trus'ed allies. Maneh a stone weeks beh passin n' I have saw onleh kiondness shown from thei' rough exterioehs, I fer one will no' tolerate teh senseless bloo'shed o' anyone. If teh Irehear's are so hellbent on pushin thios senseless battlin, then I fer one will no' stand behiond it. I jus' hope more Dwed can stan' n' unite, opposin thios fehckin shiet."

She clenched the hand where her finger bled and focused on the pain..

             Nanako Hirano

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Kloning is brought together through the usage of alchemy, the process taking various bodily fluids from an individual and combining them into a vase that had been alchemically treated. With Bogodan's Clay the creator can craft a body from an artificial fetus that once fully grown will allow the transfer of the soul of the said individual and allow it to nestle into the freshly crafted body. Although taking several OOC weeks to fully grow, the body can take on mutations if not being crafted to perfection, these can vary from subtle differences from lighter pigmentation of skin, hair and eye color, to more severe, lasting mutations that extend to cancerous growths upon the face and chest, medical complications like asthma, weight gain and general frailty experienced upon one musculature and skeletal system. These only being a few examples of course, though it would technically allow one to escape the jaws of certain death if repeating the process of readying a fresh kloned body. If the said individual had no fully-crafted klone upon death, then they'd have no chance of ever returning to life as it's a PK clause.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

They'd look exactly like their original body, though having the possibility of mutations taking place.

  10. The slouched figure of a Dark Dwedess slowly traveled through the wilderness, blind to the true destination of her aimless wandering, the coppery tang of blood thick upon her tongue as the uneven shaft of an arrow jutted from her back. The clouded thoughts still fresh upon the surface of her mind continued to play over and over; the tightened bindings around her wrists and ankles, the shouting of threats against her life from her captors. The sudden eruptions of fire and blasts of heat as voices and shouts rang out within the encampment. The clash of metal upon metal and the quick acting Musin who invaded the grounds to pounce upon their leader and rend their throat open. Although wounded, the young Doomforged had escaped with her life barely intact as the struggle continued towards the goal in mind..
